Now, Gordon and Clara have returned to Dreamonia.
When Chloe had just left, Donovan was in a very bad mood. Clara felt guilty, thinking that Chloe left because of her and Gordon, so she told Donovan that she wanted to go back to Dreamonia.

Francis glanced sideways at Charles. "I'll have to think about what you said."
Charles was really at a loss when it came to Francis.
Francis sat next to Donovan. "Dad, isn't Pearl Peak City Grandpa's home? You always said you'd take me, but I haven't been there yet!"
Donovan didn't say anything.
"Oh, I almost forgot to mention," Maya said with a hint of amusement. "Jeffery told me recently that he's got a crush on a girl. Can you believe it? He never showed any interest in anyone during his undergrad years, but now, out of the blue, he's smitten in grad school. I'm curious to see who this mystery girl is."
Maya didn't know that Chloe had gone to Pearl Peak City. She just saw that both Charles and Francis wanted Donovan to go to Pearl Peak City, so she chimed in.
Now, the three of them were silent, waiting for Donovan's response.
Francis pushed Donovan with his little hand. "Dad, say yes."
Donovan was silent for a moment. "Got it. I will go to Pearl Peak City with Charles."
After saying that, he glanced at Charles.
Charles thought, 'He finally agrees.'
But before he could smile, Donovan added, "He'll go to the meeting, and we'll go to Grandpa's house."
"Great! My dad is the best!" After saying that, Francis lay on Donovan's chest.
Charles was happy for nothing, but he knew that Francis just wanted to go to Kenneth's house. Now that his goal was achieved, Francis wouldn't continue to help him.
"Alright then." Charles thought, 'Anyway, they're all in Pearl Peak City. Maybe they'll run into each other.'
"Maya, you don't need to go. I'm not going for work this time. I'll take care of Francis myself," Donovan said to Charles again.
Preventing Maya from going was a strategic move. It was to ensure that Charles wouldn't trick him into going to Pearl Peak City first and then use "Maya looking after Francis" as an excuse to get him to attend the meeting. Donovan needed to cut off Charles's options before that could happen.
Seeing that Donovan had nothing more to say, Charles sat down on the sofa and muttered, "Why do you always have to be so thorough?"
"I was hoping to take this opportunity to see Jeffery," Maya said disappointedly. "And another thing, after you gave him those shoes last time, he wanted to treat you to a meal. I've already discussed it with him, and he agreed. Imagine, as the chairman of New East Group, you personally delivered a pair of shoes to a student. That's a huge honor for him."
Donovan just smiled.
Charles thought, 'If Donovan goes to Jeffery's meal, it would give Jeffery even more honor.'
But he knew that Maya was genuinely grateful to Donovan and sincerely wanted to treat him to a meal. She didn't mean anything else.
Donovan and Maya had a relatively close master-servant relationship, and he knew what Maya was thinking.
"Alright. Let him choose the place. Anyway, I'm not going to any meetings this time." After saying that, Donovan glanced at Charles.
Charles was speechless.
