Chapter 434 Hair on Paper
Donovan came to get the tickets before the basketball game started.
As soon as he entered, the dorm's atmosphere changed instantly, as if a leader had come to inspect.
Patrick was playing a game, but Donovan's powerful presence made him get up from his chair involuntarily.
"Hello, are you here to see Jeffery?" Patrick asked.
"Yes. To get the tickets."
Patrick eagerly took the tickets from Jeffery's desk and respectfully handed them to Donovan.
"These are from him for you."
Donovan glanced at them. "Okay, thanks."
Patrick, being a bit clumsy, accidentally knocked a piece of paper off Jeffery's desk while grabbing the tickets, and it landed right in front of Francis.
Francis picked it up.
"Dad, look." Francis handed it to Donovan.
"What is it?"
"This paper only has hair on it, and it looks exactly like the hair he drew at our home."
Donovan patted Francis on the head and said,"Let's go."
Turning around, Donovan thought, 'Does Jeffery like that girl so much? Drawing her portrait everywhere?'
Donovan held Francis's hand and left.
As soon as they left, Patrick let out a long sigh, thinking, 'Where did Jeffery meet such a big shot?'
Donovan took Francis to get some food and then entered the basketball court early.
The kid was having a blast at the basketball court, but Donovan had long outgrown this phase.
His subordinates from Maple Valley were messaging him on WhatsApp, and he was replying to them one by one.
Chloe wasn't that enthusiastic about the basketball game; her primary goal was to have a conversation with Jeffery once the game concluded.
At noon, she came back from the cafeteria and saw Cynthia, who handed her two tickets.
"What?" Chloe asked.
"Don't play dumb. These are Jeffery's basketball game tickets. My student gave me a few, but I'm way past the age of watching basketball games. It's for you."
After saying that, Cynthia walked away without looking back.
It seemed that, in everyone's eyes, she and Jeffery were already dating. Knowing Jeffery was playing basketball, they gave her tickets.
Chloe thought, 'If I take the ticket but don't go to the game, wouldn't it be a waste of resources?'
Cynthia even gave her two tickets.
So, she sent a WhatsApp message to Isabel and Saoirse: [Are you guys going to watch the basketball game?]
Chloe's research focus was on trusts, and the three of them formed a small group known as the "Trust Trio." Within this group, Chloe would allocate tasks and coordinate their collaborative efforts.
Isabel asked: [Do you have tickets?]
Saoirse replied: [I have something in the afternoon. I can't go.]
Chloe tagged Isabel: [Then the tickets shouldn't go to waste. I'll go. See you at the basketball court in the afternoon.]
In the afternoon, Chloe first went to the library to look up some information, and then she headed to the gym.
Unexpectedly, on the way, she ran into someone. If she hadn't looked closely, she wouldn't have recognized that it was Betty.
She no longer looked poor.
"Chloe?" Betty, carrying a designer bag and dressed in expensive clothes, looked very surprised. "I didn't expect to see you here."
"Betty?" Chloe was also very surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"Me? Barbara is filming here, and I'm her manager now."
"She's here?" Chloe asked, ,instantly feeling uncomfortable.
'I had just arrived at school, and Pamela was already making moves.'
"Chloe, have you graduated with your PhD?" Betty glanced behind Chloe and saw Jeffery.
