Chapter 206 You Do It
Donovan handed Jacob two hundred thousand dollars and transferred the house to him.
Jacob was as happy as a lark and quickly picked a date for the engagement.
Chloe, however, had many concerns in her heart. She knew before leading someone to destruction, you must first drive them crazy.
On the day of the engagement ceremony, Chloe was tidying up Donovan's clothes while staring into his eyes, "You won't do anything to my brother, will you?"
Donovan just glanced at Chloe. "He's not your real brother, so why are you protecting him?"

Donovan paused his hand that was adjusting his cufflinks. "Things have come to this point, I have to give it."
But Chloe was still uneasy. She held Donovan's hands tightly. "Please don't deal with him."
Donovan's deep eyes looked at Chloe. "I have no need to."
But Chloe felt very uneasy inside.
The engagement ceremony was held at a luxurious four-star hotel.
Amelia had arrived and she was also very uneasy. Firstly, she didn't like this daughter-in-law, and secondly, the money was provided by Donovan.
What's the difference between this and parents selling their daughter to their son-in-law?
Amelia felt very resentful.
But Donovan directly gave the money to Jacob, and she couldn't do anything about it.
Karen was dressed very seductively and charmingly today, even wearing a formal dress that exposed her little belly.

Jacob was extremely happy today. He stood up, raised his glass, "Today is the day of my engagement with Karen. Since Karen's parents are deceased, everyone here is from my side, my boss, and my family. Thank you all for attending the engagement ceremony."
Then he finished his drink.
Chloe also raised her glass and took a sip.
Karen went around toasting everyone, but in reality, the toasts to others were secondary; she mainly wanted to toast Donovan.
She first went to Amelia.
"Mom, your daughter-in-law is here to toast you. I am pregnant, so I can only offer water instead of wine. Please forgive me, Mom." Karen's voice carried a hint of seduction that most men couldn't resist.
And today, there was a heavyweight figure in the gathering, and she was displaying her charm in front of this person like a peacock spreading its tail.
"We're all family now, as long as you and Jacob are good," Amelia said gently.

Karen poured another glass of water and walked over to Donovan.
"Mr. Blake," Karen raised her eyes lightly, with a hint of seduction, "Thanks to you, otherwise Jacob and I wouldn't be engaged. I'm drinking water, how about you?"
"I'm driving," he said.
"You see, in this room, only the two of us are drinking water." Karen twisted her waist seductively, "A toast to you."
Then, as if feeling awkward, she leaned in close to Donovan's ear and said, "Thank you for giving money to Jacob."
As she leaned in, Donovan instinctively moved away.
Her actions made Chloe and Amelia frown even more tightly.
Chloe thought to herself, 'Isn't she engaged to my brother? Why is she being flirty with Donovan?'
Amelia, in her heart, was even more displeased with this daughter-in-law.
When Karen was about to get up, she pretended to accidentally knock over the glass, spilling all the water onto Donovan's pants.
She looked shocked. "I'm sorry, Mr. Blake, I'm so sorry, it was my carelessness."
Saying that, she bent down to pick up some tissues, but Donovan turned to Chloe. "You do it."
Chloe was already fed up with Karen's considerate actions, without saying a word, she took the tissues, knelt between Donovan's legs, and started wiping.
She seemed a bit defiant, feeling that Donovan was quite cooperative with Karen.
Brayden sat opposite Donovan and Chloe, unable to see Chloe from his side but able to see Donovan, with his legs wide open.
It was a very suggestive gesture.
Brayden lowered his head.
"Alright, Karen, watch your boundaries. After all, Donovan is Chloe's husband, you should let her do it." Amelia couldn't bear to watch anymore and said to Karen.

Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law were originally natural enemies, where there was no harmony in one place, there would be discord everywhere.

Karen even forgot to toast Brayden. Since the scandal with Brayden last time, he was worth nothing in Karen's eyes!
