Chapter 581: Mom
It was Derek who sent a WhatsApp message to Chloe.
[Hey Chloe, your mom doesn't have any ID on Emerald Isle. I took her to get a passport today so she can travel more easily. Since Pamela took her name, she had to register ase Paula. Do you want her to come to Aurora Isle to see you?]
Chloe: [Is that possible? Thank you so much. If it is, that would be great.]
[No need to thank me,we're close. Your mom is staying at my place for now.]
[Okay. Let me know as soon as you book the flight.] Chloe was thrilled to hear that Paula was coming to Aurora Isle. She always felt much safer on Aurora Isle than on Emerald Isle.
With Paula's situation temporarily resolved, Chloe felt a bit relieved.
[Has the Donovan situation been resolved?] Derek asked again.
[He's already married, what can I do? I've seen his marriage documents. He even mentioned our engagement, I don't know where he got that from.]
Derek sent a link, [Is it this one?]
Chloe opened it and saw the news about Lisa and Derek's engagement.
She gave a bitter smile. The name Lisa was something she made up on the spot when she was with the Adams family, and only Pamela knew about it. So, it was obvious who leaked the news to the media.
Now that Chloe and Donovan had broken up, Pamela was pleased.
But after finding out that Pamela was her aunt and understanding all the reasons behind it, Chloe didn't want Pamela to be so pleased. Pamela was guilty of numerous crimes, and Chloe hated her to the core. How could she let Pamela have her way?
Since Pamela wanted Chloe and Donovan to break up, Chloe decided to do the opposite.
Chloe was determined to seduce Donovan. Not only would she hit Pamela where it hurt, but she'd also make Donovan suffer!
In the past few days, Chloe didn't fall into despair; instead, she lived quite well, eating, drinking, and enjoying herself alone, and working on her course materials.
Over the weekend, Paula and Derek arrived, and Chloe went to the airport to pick them up.
The real Pamela was now using the name Paula.
Paula, who had dressed up again, had a very good demeanor. Paula probably knew she wasn't very sharp, so she spoke very little. She followed Derek off the plane, looking around the airport.
This place seemed familiar to Paula, but she couldn't quite remember.
Her past memories were buried under years of living in the attic.
Chloe was thrilled to see Paula.
Chloe supported her mother.
"Mom, come." Chloe spoke, supporting Paula, "You'll live with me from now on."
Paula nodded slowly.
Chloe smiled at Derek, "Thanks for everything."
Derek jokingly asked Chloe, "So,where am I staying?"
"Anywhere you want. If you don't like my place, you can stay at a hotel, and I'll cover it." Chloe replied.
Derek smiled back, "But I'll probably only stay a few days in Aurora Isle; the clinic is very busy."
"Alright. Your patients come first."
The three of them chatted and laughed, oblivious to Carol nearby.
Carol was at the airport to pick up a client when she noticed Chloe picking someone up as well.
The person Chloe picked up looked a lot like the big shot Pamela, and the Pamela look-alike was accompanied by a man.
Curious, Carol snapped a photo of the scene.
Wasn't it rumored that Pamela had an affair with Dylan? After all, this Pamela had some connection with their family.
