After chatting, Charlotte shot a message to Charles: [Mr. Wilson, my dad wants to see the detailed info about this house.]
Charles read the message, then called Donovan to let him know that Orion wanted the specifics about the house.
"So soon? That's quicker than we thought. Not bad. Get him the most detailed info, ASAP," Donovan said.
Charles then sent the detailed info to Charlotte.
Charlotte passed it on to Orion.
Orion was super thorough when checking out the materials. The info included not just details about the house but also specifics about Pearl Peak City.
Donovan had specifically instructed to send that over.
Orion thought the house might be worth buying. Even though Pearl Peak City is far from Maple Valley and they might not live there in the future, if it's at a 30% discount, there could be some profit.
"Ask your friend. I want to buy two units," Orion said.
Charlotte was surprised. "Dad, you really want to buy?"
"Yes, really. Go ahead and set up a meeting."
Charlotte had no choice but to message Charles: [My dad wants to buy your house, and he wants two units. He wants to talk to you.]
Charles looked at the message and replied with one word: [Okay.]
Charles called Donovan, "Donovan, Charlotte's dad wants to buy our house, two units. He wants to meet me."
"Go, win over Charlotte's dad. After that, everything will be easier. Make a good impression," Donovan said, half-jokingly.
Charles agreed.
Charles met Orion for the first time at an old three-star hotel.
Charles handed the company's info to Orion.
Orion carefully checked out the young man in front of him. He looked good, energetic, tall, and confident. Probably the kind of guy any dad would want for their daughter.
"You, you're Charlotte's friend?" Orion asked Charles.
"Yes," Charles replied with a slight chuckle.
"Didn't expect it to be a male friend." Orion lowered his head and started looking at the materials, but his mind was racing. Charlotte's friend is a guy, and he's offering a 30% discount. Charlotte had never mentioned this friend before. How could Orion not think more about it?
However, his thoughts didn't wander for long. Soon, he focused on the materials Charles had given him.
He knew about New East Group, the biggest group in Maple Valley, which was trustworthy. But there was one thing he didn't quite get.
"Mr. Wilson, you're offering my daughter a 30% discount. Is it really just because of her filming skills?" Orion asked, worried that the other party had ulterior motives, pretending to pursue Charlotte but actually wanting something from Orion.
"Not entirely. Having her film was Mr. Blake's idea, and giving her the discount was also Mr. Blake's idea. I don't have that kind of authority," Charles quickly shifted all the responsibility to Donovan.
Orion couldn't have imagined: Donovan and Charles had aligned interests, both aiming to get Charlotte and Orion on their side. But at this moment, Charles appeared innocent and clueless, seemingly unaware of Orion's status.
"Is that so? Is Mr. Blake married?"
"Yes, he is. He and his wife have a great relationship, and they have a four-year-old son."
Orion nodded again. It didn't seem like Mr. Blake was interested in Charlotte. It seemed like Mr. Wilson might have some feelings for Charlotte.
The reason for such a big discount must have some personal feelings involved.
Orion hadn't made a final decision yet and just said he would take it back to review.
"Mr. Rose, please feel free. By the way, Rebecca Residential Community has also started pre-sales. If you like it, I can reserve two units for you."
"Okay, okay," Orion said, suddenly realizing.
If pre-sales have started, it means they will sell out quickly. He needed to make a decision soon.
After returning, Charles went to Donovan's house.
