Chapter 377 She Didn't Care at All

Chloe's WhatsApp replies to Ann and Susan didn't reveal her mood swings, but she was definitely not in a good mood. She didn't want Donovan to know she cried and had a fever because of him. After all, he cared so little that he slept with someone else just a month after she went abroad. Crying over him would just make her seem too emotional and attached.

Luckily, she was abroad, and he had no clue about her feelings. Since Donovan's "gift" after a month apart was sleeping with someone else, should she give him a "gift" too?

The next day in class, Chloe was distracted thinking about Donovan. The course was already tough, and her distracted state made it harder to keep up. The teacher assigned a paper, and the blackboard was filled with terms and explanations about the Capital Asset Pricing Model, all in Verdania. She didn't understand a single thing.

She took a photo of the notes on the board and posted it on Facebook, along with the problems she encountered while reading and her notes. She wrote: [I'll try to stay up all night to finish the paper.]

Chloe rarely posted on Facebook. This post had an academic vibe, with photos of Verdania books, highlighted content, and her notes. It was clear how diligent she was!

Her post got countless comments. People praised her not because of Donovan's influence, but because they were genuinely being supportive of her.

Not many focused on academics these days. And Chloe, a woman who returned to study after having a child, was inspiring with her diligence. Most people felt ashamed and moved to tears after seeing her post!

Charles commented with encouraging emojis and said: [Respect!]

Paisley mocked Chloe: [Oh, you've really become a PhD? Be careful; female PhDs might have trouble getting married!] She implied Chloe shouldn't expect to reconcile with Donovan.

Sofia commented: [What is all this? I can't understand a single word.]

Logan commented: [Awesome. It's awesome! I'm feeling more and more ashamed of myself.]

Donovan, in his office, coldly watched the comments roll in. Clearly, Chloe's post impressed many people! He didn't know if she had seen the news about him and Janet. If she knew but stayed indifferent, it proved she didn't care about him and only cared about her studies. Even if she knew about the scandal, she probably wouldn't care.

A "female scholar" staying up all night to write a paper wouldn't have time for entertainment news or sordid affairs. She was entirely focused on her studies, unaffected by Donovan's scandal. The difference between her and Donovan was stark. She didn't care about his affairs at all! How infuriating!

Brayden also commented on Chloe's Facebook, listing points the paper should cover and recommending many books.

Brayden: [Chloe, if you finish reading these books, the paper should be no problem.]
