Chapter 445 Are You Jealous
Donovan furrowed his brow slightly.
Charles had returned from Maple Valley again. Originally, the plan was for Charles to sign the contract, but Donovan made a last-minute decision to change this arrangement. Specifically, he altered his course of action upon discovering that Jeffery had secured an internship at Stellar Corp.
Charles was now at home taking care of Francis.
Chloe had her back turned and hadn't seen Donovan yet, but she felt quite nervous.
Donovan sat down, and Chloe routinely nodded at him.
Jeffery left at the right moment, and shortly after, Timothy came in.
Jeffery went to the HR department.
It was clear that Jeffery was a very smart person. When he noticed Donovan's arrival, he promptly went to fetch Timothy, ensuring that Donovan would not have to wait for too long
He was discussing his internship plan with HR.
He was interning in the business department, coming in every Tuesday to Friday afternoon for two hours. His monthly internship salary was one thousand dollars.
The HR director also took him around to meet the various functional departments of the company.

"Mr. Blake, sorry to keep you waiting. Is the contract all set?" Timothy said with a smile.
"Yes," Donovan replied.
New East Group and Stellar Corp ceremoniously signed the 1.5 billion-dollar contract to jointly develop real estate in Pearl Peak City.
The investment team from the Stellar Corp discussed many issues regarding the contract's execution with New East Group.
Originally, Charles planned to bring a team over, but Donovan refused.
During the meeting, Chloe noticed that Donovan answered fluently and handled all the investment questions from the Stellar Corp with ease. His mind was sharp; he was practically a god-like presence. He alone was as effective as an entire team. His masculine charm was at its peak, making him the kind of man any woman would want to admire.
Chloe found herself fascinated by Donovan's negotiation skills, despite his character flaws.
She also asked a few questions and answered some of Donovan's doubts. The exchange was very pleasant.
Additionally, the business department from the Stellar Corp explained in detail the steps and important points for future cooperation.
In the end, Timothy joked, "Mr. Blake, it looks like you'll have to visit Pearl Peak City often in the future."
"Absolutely," Donovan replied.
As the meeting concluded, Donovan swiftly rose from his seat, ready to depart. Chloe walked out of the conference room alongside him.
Just then, Jeffery had just come out of the business department, slinging his bag over his shoulder, ready to leave.
"Mr. Blake, are you leaving?" he asked.
"Yes. Do you need a ride?"
"Sure. Thank you, Mr. Blake." Although Jeffery considered Donovan a trustworthy person, he still treated him with respect.
"You two lovebirds, why don't you go together?" Donovan said, seemingly casually, looking at Chloe.
"Huh?" Chloe was startled by Donovan's sudden question.
Moreover, hearing Donovan's words, she clenched her palms tightly, feeling as if her heart could squeeze out water.
Why did he have to say such things to mock her?
"Let's just go together," Jeffery said.
At that moment, something like a photo fell out of Jeffery's bag.
"You dropped something," Chloe said, noticing the photo of Barbara. The sight of Barbara's fair skin made Chloe frown slightly.
She wasn't sure what Barbara was up to, but Chloe knew Barbara had bad intentions by giving Jeffery such a sexy photo so quickly.
"You should stay away from her!" Chloe said, frowning slightly.
Jeffery was organizing his things. The photo had been in the outermost pocket of his bag, and the zipper might not have been fully closed, causing the photo to fall out.
Hearing Chloe's words, Jeffery smiled. "Are you jealous?"
