Chapter 624 Using Strategy
The reason Maya said that was to show off in front of Chloe. Chloe had rejected Jeffery at the time, mainly because she had Donovan, but Maya still felt embarrassed. When Jeffery called her to Pearl Peak City and she saw Chloe sitting next to him, she started to have doubts and knew it wouldn't work out. She felt upset at that moment.
Now, the officer's daughter had taken a liking to Jeffery, and Maya felt somewhat vindicated.

"Is it true?" Jane called Chloe, sounding very nervous.

Jane hung up the phone without another word. This was a tricky situation.
After thinking it over, she felt that someone like Jeffery, who probably had traditional values, would be swayed if she slept with him. He wouldn't easily accept the officer's daughter after that.
Jane bought a bottle of aphrodisiac online and then went to Jeffery's base. She informed Jeffery that she had arrived.
Jeffery was very happy to see Jane's message. After all, Jane had previously brought him food and taken care of Maya. In his eyes, Jane was like a close friend.

Jane replied: [I'm on a business trip and staying at the hotel across from you. I'm packing up and bringing you a lot of stuff. Come and get it.]

Jeffery was a bit suspicious since Maya hadn't bought him clothes in years.
But he didn't say anything, took off his outer clothes, and was left wearing just a white tank top.
Jane stole a glance; Jeffery's physique was so good that it made her feel hot all over.
"It fits perfectly!" Jeffery said, taking it off and showing off his muscles again, which mesmerized Jane once more.
Jane continued packing, looking exhausted. She stood up and poured herself a glass of water, also handing one to Jeffery.
Jeffery didn't think anything of it and took the glass to drink.
Then, his eyes became unfocused, and he felt hot all over.
Jeffery immediately understood what had happened. As a soldier, he had learned counter-surveillance techniques, but he never expected that this woman, five years older than he, would use such a tactic on him.
