Chapter 323 Make Sure Her Children Wouldn't Be Born
That day, Ann ran into Paisley at a sparsely populated large shopping mall.
Paisley was deliberately low-key, and her attire was quite ordinary.
However, because of her celebrity status, Ann recognized her immediately.
Ann was even angrier.
"Well, well, a big star," Ann said.
Paisley didn't know Ann and thought she was just an ordinary fan.
Given the current sensitive period for Paisley, she was quite gratified to have fans still.
"Do you want my autograph?" Paisley said, taking a pen out of her bag as she spoke.
"That's not it. You pretended to send a package, causing Barbara's house to catch fire. Barbara didn't save her grandmother, leading to her death. You two are really a pair of scoundrels," Ann was carrying a designer bag and dressed in a professional suit, which made her look very competent, but when she started scolding, she didn't hold back at all.
"What?" Paisley was completely confused, not understanding what this fan was talking about.
But she did know Barbara, and they were arch-enemies. Saying she was like Barbara was a direct provocation.
"Don't talk nonsense! I'll sue you for defamation!" Paisley said.
Ann wasn't afraid and said, "Go ahead, I'm just worried the court doesn't know about this. Airing your dirty laundry in public, you must be really smart."
With that, Ann flipped her hair and walked away.
Paisley stood there, still confused about what had just happened.
She called her agent and asked them to find out what Barbara was up to.
Before long, the agent called back.
"Ms. Torres, Barbara is currently with a film crew, auditioning for a minor role. I know their casting director," the agent said.
"Don't let her get the part. I want her out of this industry forever!" Paisley said.
"She's just a minor role. Taking her down will be easy."
"Also, help me check something. Someone said I sent a package to Barbara's house that killed her grandmother. What a joke. I have no grudge against her grandmother. Why would I kill her?" Paisley's tone was somewhat dismissive. She had just started to show signs of improvement, but her temper was flaring up again.
"Okay."
Before long, the agent got back to Paisley, saying the police had already closed the case.
Paisley thought carefully, 'Barbara's grandmother was Chloe's grandmother too, right?'
Paisley had an idea. She wanted to confront Chloe, hoping to upset her so much that her two children wouldn't be born.
On this day, Paisley waited at the entrance of Serenity Springs Estates.
Around eleven o'clock, she saw Chloe and Maya come down.
Maya found a seat for Chloe in a café and then left.
Paisley seized the opportunity to enter the café.
It was work hours, so the café wasn't crowded.
After entering, Paisley took off her sunglasses.
"Long time no see, Ms. Baker," Paisley always called Chloe "Ms. Baker."
Chloe's mood soured as soon as she saw Paisley.
"What do you want? Just say it," Chloe said.
"Oh, it's like this. I heard you have been upset because of me lately. Indeed, I had someone send the package to Barbara. I wanted revenge. She was just my assistant but became increasingly arrogant. How could I tolerate that? I didn't intend to kill your grandmother with the package, I aimed to burn Barbara. Unfortunately, she was lucky and is still alive. But Donovan has already taken care of it for me. Not only that, he even helped me plan my comeback! After all, I'm Donovan's ex-girlfriend. You know about our relationship, right, Ms. Baker?" Paisley said to Chloe with her fiery red lips.
