Chapter 215 Has Amelia Fallen?

Upon awakening, Chloe found Donovan next to her in the bedroom. She lay on the bed, the pillow soaked from tears.

As she regained consciousness, memories of the events leading up to her fainting came flooding back.

She couldn't determine how many days had passed while she was unconscious.

The experience felt surreal, almost like a dream to her.

“I'll give Amelia a call." As she reached for her phone, her hand searched unconsciously but came up empty.

She had wanted to check if Amelia was at home. Amelia must have been home, and she would have invited her over for dinner.

However, her phone was nowhere to be found.

"Can I use your phone?" Chloe looked at Donovan, saying, "I want to see what Amelia is doing at home."

"Chloe," Donovan growled softly, "Don't be like this."

"I just want to call Amelia. What's so wrong with that? Is it too much if I call my mom? Chloe smiled, unaware that tears were streaming down her face. She felt very miserable.

"Get some good rest," Donovan said.

"Amelia is fine at home, right?" With tears in her eyes, she asked Donovan, lying on the bed, looking at him.

Amelia was gone, and Chloe appeared to have lost her mind. That day, Chloe only took a quick look at the scene.

Despite the vivid impression, she convinced herself it was just a dream, nothing but a dream.

‘Amelia was fine, there's no way she could have fallen from such a height. And to think that two family members would both meet such a tragic fate? Todd may have been like that, but Amelia was different, absolutely not like that. Plus, she was planning to renovate the house for Jacob. It just doesn't make sense for her to suddenly fall. It's simply impossible.’

"Is my mom at home?" Chloe suddenly grabbed Donovan's arm with both hands and roared.

"Yes, she's fine. You rest first. I'll take care of the rest," Donovan said calmly.

Chloe struggled to catch her breath.

"Where were you that day!" Chloe's mind was a bit confused as she asked him.

"Which day?"

"The day I took a taxi to Blue Ocean Estate Group, you were there too! I think I saw you." Chloe hoped it was a dream.

"I was at the office," Donovan said.

Chloe breathed a sigh of relief, "Yes, I thought it was a dream. You have Amelia call me."

"Okay. You rest first," Donovan said.

Chloe put Donovan's arm on her chest and fell asleep.

She didn't know she had been asleep for three days.

Throughout these three days, Chloe continued to talk and dream incessantly in her sleep. Her dreams took her back to her childhood, where she remembered Amelia buying her new clothes, chasing after Jacob, and receiving praise for achieving a perfect score on a test. She also dreamt of a rainy day, where she cooked for Todd at home while Amelia prepared school supplies for her. In one dream, Todd returned home without an umbrella or raincoat, prompting Chloe to scold him, "Dad, why didn't you bring an umbrella or wear a raincoat again? I'm mad.”

She said these words, but only in her dreams.

She kept calling out "mom" in her sleep, which was heartbreaking to see.

After sleeping for a while, Chloe couldn't sleep well. She was hungry.

"I'm hungry," she said to Donovan.

"I'll have Maya make you something to eat." With that, Donovan went downstairs.

Chloe got up from the bed to look for her phone, but couldn't find it anywhere.

'How come there wasn't even a phone in the room!'

"What are you looking for?" Donovan came in, frowning slightly at her.

"I'm looking for my phone." Chloe felt empty, tears streaming down her face, speaking as if she had lost her soul.
"Aren't you supposed to eat and rest?" Donovan asked her, "Eat first, then look for it."

"Okay." Chloe said unconsciously, "What did Maya make for me?"

"I don't know, let's see." Donovan sat down next to Chloe, speaking calmly.

Maya brought up the meal, consisting of a bowl of soup and a peeled egg with only the white part.

"Maya, can you make pasta? If you can, I'll have Amelia come over another day to eat, okay?" Chloe asked Maya with eager eyes.

Maya was surprised. Glancing at Chloe, she said, "Have some soup first to fill your stomach. You haven't eaten for days."

Donovan gave Maya a reproachful look, his gaze saying one thing: meddling!

Originally, Maya wanted to make pasta for Chloe, but Donovan didn't allow it.

Maya seemed to feel like she had made a big mistake, hastily saying, "I'll go downstairs first."

"Have I been sleeping for days?" Chloe asked Donovan.

Chloe's sanity gradually returned, and after sleeping for a few days, what happened that day no longer seemed like a dream.

It had already happened.

"Not long," Donovan replied.

"Give me your phone, I'll call Amelia." Chloe reached out for the phone.

If there were nothing wrong, he wouldn't have taken away her phone.

"You eat first."

"Where are Mr. Blake and Mrs. Blake?" Chloe asked him again.

"I had them go back to Dreamonia first."

Chloe's feelings inside were getting worse and worse, "Why did they go back to Dreamonia? What happened?"

"They were causing trouble here!" Donovan replied.

"I want to make a call!" Chloe raised her voice.

The veins on the sides of her temples were bulging.

"Don't call!" Donovan frowned, saying, "The phone isn't here."

"I want to make a call!" Chloe suddenly jumped up from the bed.

" Amelia fell, didn't she? You were upstairs when Amelia fell! What were you doing there? Amelia had no motive to take her own life, so how did she fall? You must have witnessed it; please, tell me, tell me!”

Chloe's voice was hoarse, almost screaming.
