Chapter 65: Does He Miss Me?
Chloe didn't want to let Paisley feel triumphant, thinking that Chloe was provoked by her. However, it just so happened that Chloe lacked a valid reason to terminate the pregnancy.
"I knew it. He doesn't love me." Chloe said, "I'll go and get his child aborted right away!"
Chloe spoke with righteousness and anger, as if she was defying him.

Chloe thought of what Paisley had said and felt a little sad. She thought to herself, why didn't he say where he was going on his business trip? So, she replied, "Not really."
Donovan's face darkened, and he got off the elevator when it reached his floor.
After work, Chloe got into Donovan's car.
The atmosphere between the two was very subtle.
"I bought these for you," said Donovan, handing Chloe a box of luxury chocolates.
"Thank you." Chloe opened the heart-shaped chocolate and thought to herself, he probably never buys these things for Paisley.
Chloe took out a chocolate and ate it.
"Grandpa is doing well recently," Chloe said while eating chocolate.

"What about you? How are you doing?" Donovan asked again.
Chloe stretched and yawned, "I'm still the same. Have you not seen? I'm doing well, eating well, sleeping well. You're not here, so I sleep alone in a bed."
"So, do you miss me at all?" Donovan asked again.
