Sofia took a taxi to Chloe's neighborhood and saw Brayden's car parked downstairs.
"Did Chloe make an appointment with you?" Sofia asked Brayden.
"No, she said she had a prenatal checkup today, so I came early," Brayden replied.
Sofia went upstairs, lost in thought.
In fact, Chloe never told Sofia who her babies' father really was because she knew that if she told Sofia, Donovan would eventually find out.

"Chloe, Brayden is waiting for you downstairs to accompany you to the prenatal checkup," Sofia said to Chloe when she went upstairs.
"Has he arrived?" Chloe was putting on her coat.
Just now, Susan messaged her on WhatsApp that she had arrived, and Brayden was insistent on accompanying her.
After going downstairs, Chloe went to Brayden's car.
"Chloe, you mentioned the prenatal checkup yesterday, so I came to give you a ride and discuss the projects. Get in the car," Brayden said.
Chloe thought for a moment and found Brayden's idea reasonable, so she called Susan and told her she had other plans for the day, asking Susan to have a rest.
"It's okay. Since then, I'll leave," Susan said over the phone.
"Alright. Thank you." Chloe ended the call and got into Brayden's car.
After Susan drove off, she messaged Donovan on WhatsApp: [Mrs. Blake is going in her classmate's car today. She told me to rest.]

He knew exactly who Chloe's classmate was. It was Brayden.

Chloe discussed various project matters with Brayden, and he provided solutions to the accounting issues they encountered.
"Chloe, your belly is getting bigger. You must be careful," Brayden said, expressing his concern for Chloe.
When Carol posted the sentence in the group chat last time, Brayden immediately asked her to delete it and even scolded Carol.

Brayden waited in the car while Sofia and Chloe went into the clinic building.

"The doctor isn't supposed to say this, but I have to tell you—it's twins!" Jane raised her hands in excitement. "So exciting! Twins! You have to treat us!"
Chloe was dumbfounded.
'Twins... He's so potent.' Chloe thought.
"Alright. It's almost the New Year. I'll treat you then," Chloe said.
On the way back, Sofia kept discussing twin matters with Chloe in the car.
"Chloe, you must have done a lot of good deeds in your past life! You're pregnant with twins," Sofia casually remarked to Chloe.
Chloe, on the other hand, was more concerned about how to take care of the children once they were born. If she had to go abroad, it would be inconvenient to bring two children along!
Brayden, sitting in the front seat, overheard everything and thought to himself, 'Donovan is indeed potent.'
