Chapter 481 Made Love All Night
During dinner, Chloe kept her mouth shut about the room situation 'cause there were just too many folks around. After dinner, once Isabel and Saoirse hit their room, Chloe yanked Donovan aside. "Get me another room. This setup ain't right."
"Follow me," Donovan said, looking all serious like he had something heavy on his mind. Chloe, all nervous, trailed him upstairs to his bedroom.
He plopped down on the sofa and lit up a cigarette. "Who was that dude?" he asked.
"Which one?" she shot back, confused.
"How many you got?"
Chloe was baffled. "How am I supposed to know who you're talking about? You haven't said squat."
Donovan realized what was happening in her head. "You met Brayden last night, and now I'm grilling you about another guy. No wonder you're lost."
Chloe wasn't shocked he knew about Brayden, but it still ticked her off. Donovan's snarky tone got under her skin. "Who exactly are you talking about?" she snapped.
Donovan stared at her for a few beats, then said, "Derek."
Chloe's fists clenched, and she frowned. "You spying on me?"
"So, there is a Derek," Donovan said, eyes boring into her.
"Yeah," she admitted.
"Who is he?"
Chloe felt disgusted. 'Not only is he snooping on me, but he's also grilling me. We're divorced, yet he still expects us to share a bed. What a jerk.'
"If you're spying on me, didn't you find out who he is?" Chloe was fuming.
Donovan suddenly stood up, grabbed her waist, and pulled her onto the sofa between his legs. Chloe, off balance, clung to his shoulders.
"I couldn't find out. I want you to tell me yourself!" he demanded, eyes locked on hers.
Chloe turned away, staying silent. But unknown to her, her soft skin, expressive eyes, and heavy breathing set Donovan off.
Donovan was clearly losing his cool. After a few seconds of tense silence, he picked her up and tossed her onto the bed. His kisses rained down on her face, neck, and body. He ripped her clothes, and Chloe felt a sharp pain.
'I've been patient, but I've held back for three years. She just got back, met Brayden, and now there's a Derek in the mix,' Donovan thought.
Chloe wanted to speak, but his kisses swallowed her words. She tried to fight back, but her fists were caught in his palms, and all she could manage was a few "bastard" mutters.
That night, Donovan was like a machine, taking out his frustration on Chloe. They went at it all night, and by morning, Chloe was out cold. When Donovan got up, he saw she was covered in love bites. He headed downstairs where Isabel and Saoirse were already up.
"Mr. Blake, where's Ms. Baker?" Isabel asked, blinking.
"Dad, where's Mom?" Francis asked from the dining table.
"Chloe was wiped from all the travel and meetings yesterday, so she's sleeping in. What's the plan for today?" Donovan asked Isabel and Saoirse.
"According to the schedule, we're supposed to head back to school today," Isabel, the more outgoing one, replied. She usually handled the talking with Donovan.
Though Isabel spoke respectfully, she was thinking, 'Saoirse and I slept all night and woke up fine. Why can't Ms. Baker get up? What did they do last night?'
