Chapter 606 Give Him Some Money
As soon as he entered the door, Donovan pinned Chloe against it and asked her, "Am I that scary?"
"In what way?" Chloe didn't understand what Donovan meant.
"Pregnancy, miscarriage, heavy bleeding, a series of deceptions, starting with trying to trick me into revealing the truth about my marriage to Cynthia. What was all the heavy bleeding for?" he asked Chloe.
Chloe thought: How did he go to Pearl Peak City, handle someone else's case, and still get everything so clear about this matter?
While Chloe was still puzzled, Donovan spoke into her ear, "Give me a second child."
Chloe didn't say anything.
After speaking, Donovan carried Chloe to the bed.
After a thorough lovemaking session, it was already 2 AM.
Donovan got up and lit a cigarette.
Chloe lay on her side, somewhat annoyed. "Can you stop smoking in the future?"
"Does it bother you?" he asked Chloe, turning his head.
Chloe nodded, "Yeah, it's also bad for your health."
"True, it's not good for having a second child," Donovan said, extinguishing the cigarette in the ashtray.
Chloe asked, "How did you find out about this?"
"If you don't want me to know, then don't do it."
Chloe was very tired and fell asleep.

The police asked Jacob about his time there and found that the timing didn't match. Then they investigated the person who called him and released him.
They heard the police were investigating another suspect, James.
James was a former subordinate of Donovan.
Panicked, Jacob came to Chloe's house.
