Chapter 113 I Can't Like You, Xavier's Blunt Rejection
Jessica was upset, Grace wasn't the only one who knew Xavier, Ryan was here and he was still Xavier's family.
Subsequently, Jessica contacted Ryan to meet up.
Upon hearing it was Jessica, Ryan naturally came out to meet her.
Jessica didn't have a good impression on Ryan, who was far inferior to Xavier.
"Ms. Cole, did you ask me out just to watch the night view together?" Ryan felt much better, as he saw a beauty like Jessica.
After all, being asked out by a beauty would lift anyone's spirits.
"Mr. Ryan, aren't you afraid Ms. Lewis will get jealous, coming out with me at this late hour?" Jessica joked intentionally.
Mentioning Grace's name made Ryan angry.
Jessica continued, "I saw Ms. Lewis hurriedly leave earlier, not sure where she went, why didn't you go with her?"
"Why bother about Grace, just mentioning her makes me angry, she's always clinging to me, she likes me and insists on marrying me, like a piece of sticky candy that I can't shake off, so clingy and disgusting." Ryan didn't conceal any of his disgust.
"I didn't expect you to dislike Grace so much," Jessica said, but agreed that Grace was indeed quite annoying.
"Of course! Where did you see her go?" Ryan asked.
Jessica had no idea where Grace went, she casually pointed. "Seems like over there."
"Over there?" Ryan frowned, walking over there would lead to where Xavier lived. He thought, 'did Grace go to find Xavier?'
For some reason, Ryan felt uncomfortable, he immediately called Grace.
Grace had gone to a restaurant, luckily she arrived in time, and there was still food available at the restaurant.
Seeing Ryan's call, she hung up directly, never expected Ryan to call again, hanging up once more.
Ryan looked furious, how dare Grace not answer his call, did she think Xavier was backing her up?
Thinking back to that night when there was no luggage in Grace's car, as he waited by the car for so long without her showing up, it indicated Grace didn't actually live in her car.
Where did Grace live?
Ryan had an answer in his mind, he had suspected before that there was something between Xavier and Grace!
"Ms. Cole, there is an urgency related to Xavier, excuse me for a moment," Ryan suddenly said.
If Grace really went to find Xavier, Ryan could catch them red-handed now!
Hearing this, Jessica felt secretly delighted, she had been thinking about how to see Xavier, never expected it to be so effortless.
"I'll go with you!" Jessica claimed.
In the hotel, Xavier was on the phone. "The merger must succeed this time, be careful with the contract handed over by Country M, they like to tamper with it."
Just then, there was a knock on the hotel door, a male voice came from outside. "Xavier, are you there? I have something urgent to discuss with you."
It was Ryan's voice.
"Alright, that's it." Xavier hung up the phone directly and walked toward the door.
He opened the door and saw Ryan and Jessica standing outside.
"Xavier, good evening," Ryan's gaze kept looking inside.
"Urgent?" Xavier had no intention of letting him in.
"Xavier, I just passed by here, and felt like to use the restroom, is that very urgent? Oh, by the way, Ms. Cole is looking for you, she has something to say, take your time!"
After speaking, Ryan pushed the door open directly and forced his way in.
"Mr. Montgomery, long time no see." In front of Xavier, Jessica displayed her usual manners.
Xavier's gaze was cold as he looked at Jessica, showing no intention to speak.
"Xavier, can I call you that?" Jessica wanted to get closer to Xavier, starting with the name.
"No, I don't like others calling me by my name, call me Mr. Montgomery." Xavier refused directly.
Jessica fell silent, despite encountering setbacks, she was still happy inside, and Xavier had spoken so many words to her.
"Mr. Montgomery, I heard the sunrise tomorrow morning is particularly beautiful, can I invite you to enjoy it together?" Jessica expressed her thoughts.
"No time." Xavier didn't give Jessica any chance.
"Can we have breakfast together tomorrow, or lunch or dinner?" Jessica didn't give up on this rare opportunity to see Xavier.
"Don't bother with these futile efforts, I don't like watching the sunrise, I don't like eating with others, and I don't like you." Xavier's words were as blunt as they could be, instantly causing Jessica's face to pale.
Xavier's words were too harsh; he didn't despise watching the sunrise, he simply preferred not to do it with her.
"Mr. Montgomery, I really like you, from the moment I saw you, I..."Jessica could not even finish her words.
Xavier coldly interrupted Jessica, "There are many who like me, even if they line up, you won't make the cut, Ms. Cole, if you're just need a man, Ryan is quite good."
Jessica bit her lip tightly, she had practically offered her self-esteem to Xavier, letting him trample on it.
What did Xavier take her for?
Seeing this face crafted by God, even though she was humiliated by Xavier, she still felt it was worth it.
She just fall in love with him at first sight, unable to forget him.
"Mr. Montgomery, we haven't had chance to go on a date, how do you know you won't like me, what if..."
"There's no chance of that happening." Xavier's rejection was always straightforward, leaving no room for hope.
Jessica's eyes were red, just then, Ryan had searched both upstairs and downstairs without any success.
Not to mention Grace, he hadn't even seen a piece of her clothing.
It meant Grace and Xavier didn't live together, Ryan had overthought it.
He thought, how could Xavier, a clean freak, possibly accommodate Grace, he didn't know what he was thinking, suspecting there was something between the two.
Now it seemed there was absolutely no such possibility!
"Xavier, I'm done, have you two finished talking?" Ryan felt the atmosphere wasn't right.
Ryan was still inside the room, Xavier coldly said, "Get out!"
Before Ryan could react, he felt a push, stumbling out and almost falling to the ground.
Ryan didn't have a chance to say anything, the door slammed shut with a loud bang, clearly rejecting his entry.
"Jessica, what did you say to him just now?" Ryan asked.
Jessica naturally wouldn't mention the details. "Nothing, by the way, do you have Xavier's phone number?"
"Of course, why?" Xavier was Ryan's uncle after all, he naturally had his contact information.
"Could you please give it to me? I'll definitely help you if you need my help in the future."
Jessica's eyes carried deep meaning, indicating that she wasn't going to give up!
