Chapter 365 Could She Be Pregnant?

"Grace, when are you coming back to Skigeth? I miss you," Angela said, feeling like it had been forever since she last saw Grace.

"I'll be back in a couple of days," Grace replied.

"Awesome, I'll pick you up at the airport then." Angela was thrilled. She didn't have many friends, and with Grace gone, she felt pretty lonely.

"Well, I'll bring you a gift." Grace had bought a bunch of stuff in Aetheria, always thinking of Angela whenever she saw something cool. Even Xavier joked that Grace thought more about Angela than him.

Grace and Angela chatted for a long time until Xavier took the phone from Grace. "Ms. Turner, haven't you hogged my girlfriend's time enough? Can you leave some for me?"

Angela chuckled, "My bad, I'll hang up now!"

After Angela hung up, Grace's time was all Xavier's.

Xavier cradled Grace and, with a bit of force, lifted her onto the desk in the study.

He leaned in close, their faces almost touching.

They hadn't been intimate for a while, and since coming back from Aetheria, Grace had been super busy.

"Are you going back to Skigeth?" Xavier asked.

Grace nodded, "Yeah, the company's business is still in Skigeth. My time in Oakworth is just a business trip."

"When are you moving the business focus here?" Xavier asked.

Grace thought for a moment, "Soon, I think."

The company in Oakworth was getting on track, and with a significant amount of shares transferred from Patrick, she was pretty loaded now.

This time, she was also planning to transfer her shares in the Montgomery Group to Patrick.

"Come back soon," Xavier said gently.

"Okay!" Grace nodded.

"Before you go, shouldn't you make it up to me?" Xavier's eyes had a different look. Grace didn't know how long she'd be gone this time, so she definitely needed to make it up to him before leaving.

Grace tried to escape from Xavier's grasp, "I think I should get to work."

But Xavier had anticipated her move and pulled her back.

He whispered in her ear, "The study or the bedroom, your choice."

Grace was shocked.

In the two days before Grace returned to Skigeth, she was indeed very intimate with Xavier every day.

It wasn't like she wouldn't come back, but it felt like they wouldn't see each other for a long time. Xavier could always visit Skigeth.

These two days, Xavier had been quite the flirt. When Grace put on clothes, it was fine, but without them, there were kiss marks all over, all from Xavier.

Luckily, it was autumn, and Grace wore a turtleneck sweater to cover her neck.

When Grace arrived in Skigeth, she felt a bit disoriented. So much seemed to have happened in such a short time.

Angela also came to the airport to pick up Grace. They hadn't seen each other for a long time and had endless things to talk about.

Angela planned to stay with Grace that night. She had a lot to say. First, they would drop off Grace's luggage and then go out to eat.

"Grace, a new restaurant opened recently. I've been there twice, and it's awesome. Let's go there tonight," Angela said.

"Okay," Grace agreed.

Grace and Angela talked a lot about recent events. Angela had many questions for Grace, but it turned out Grace knew less than she did.

"Since you're gonna be the future female owner of the DG Group, I'm making you treat me to a big meal," Angela said, eyeing the menu.

Grace laughed, "Xavier and I aren't married yet, don't jinx it. But yeah, dinner's on me."

Angela raised an eyebrow, "He hasn't popped the question yet?"

Grace shook her head. They hadn't really talked about the future.

"Girl, if I had a girlfriend as gorgeous as you, I'd be putting a ring on it ASAP," Angela said, still scanning the menu.

Grace shrugged, "We're both super busy. We don't really think about the future much right now."

Angela smirked, "Well, your career is killing it. You might even surpass Xavier and become the one he can't keep up with!"

Grace chuckled, "I don't think I'm that talented."

Angela leaned in, "Don't sell yourself short. I believe in you. Just don't forget me when you become some big shot. I'll be your secretary."

Grace grinned, "Deal. You're officially pre-booked as my secretary!"

They joked around until Angela finished ordering. The food started arriving, and it looked amazing.

Angela had ordered a ton, but everything looked so good.

Grace picked up a shrimp, peeled it, and popped it in her mouth. But before she could swallow, she felt a wave of nausea and her stomach churned.

Covering her mouth, Grace said, "I need to hit the restroom."

She quickly made her way to the restroom. She hadn't eaten much today, so there wasn't much to throw up.

After a bit, she came back to the table, only to find Angela giving her a weird look.

Grace asked, "What's up?"

Angela's eyes widened, "I should be asking you that!"

Angela continued, "How long have you been feeling like this? Have your periods been regular these past two months? Have you seen a doctor?"

The barrage of questions left Grace stunned.

She had been feeling nauseous for a few days. Her periods were never very regular, and she'd been too busy to notice.

"I'm not sure," Grace said. "Maybe my messed-up diet is giving me stomach issues?"

She didn't feel nauseous when eating with Xavier.

Grace said, "Maybe the food here isn't fresh. Don't you think it tastes a bit off?"

Angela shook her head, "No way. This place is known for its fresh food. Everything's cooked fresh. Grace, did you and Mr. Montgomery use protection? Could you be pregnant?"

"We did," Grace said, though she wasn't entirely sure. She placed a hand on her stomach. Could she be pregnant? She wasn't prepared for that and didn't even know if Xavier liked kids.

Angela handed her some other food, "Try these. Do you still feel nauseous?"

As Grace ate, she wondered if it was just because she had thrown up earlier. But as she continued, she found she had no issues.

After eating what Angela gave her, Grace said, "See, I told you it's just overthinking."

Angela still looked worried, "How about I take you to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up?"

Grace wasn't sure either. She could only tell herself it was just bad food.

Grace said, "No need, I have to go to the Montgomery Group tomorrow. I'll get checked after I'm done the work."
