Chapter 115 Xavier Goes to the Appointment

Jessica avoided Grace's gaze, afraid to tell Grace what she had done. But it was obvious that without an explanation, Grace wouldn't let it go easily. Jessica thought fast before she finally looked up and said, "Actually, I was trying to find a phone number."

Grace scrutinized her, as if trying to figure out how Jessica would lie.

Jessica continued, "Didn't you give me Xavier's contact information last night? I thought you must have it in your phone, so I searched for it, but I couldn't find it after looking for a long time. Do you really have Xavier's number?"

Jessica found a very reasonable excuse and suddenly became more confident. Grace looked into Jessica's eyes, finding she was not lying. However, Grace felt something was off.

"Do you think I would believe you?" Grace didn't say whether she believed or not, but to question Jessica, hoping Jessica would reveal the truth herself.

"You can only trust me. I couldn't have done anything in such a short time. Even if I wanted to, you would have noticed." This reason seemed plausible, as Grace's doubts lessened slightly.

"So, what is Xavier's phone number? I wanted to find his number, but I couldn't. Why don't you just give it to me?" Jessica was still lying.
Grace had saved Xavier's number under the name "Big Bad Wolf," a detail only known to Grace. Jessica couldn't find it no matter what.

"If you want Xavier's number, go ask him yourself." Jessica's reason was impeccable. Grace felt it made sense, stopping pressing further.

"Jessica, we are not on the same world. Don't use such methods in the future. If you really like Xavier, just ask him openly!" Grace exclaimed.

Jessica bit her lip, questioning why Grace was lecturing her.
She had asked Xavier before who had bluntly refused her without letting her finish her sentence. Jessica had no choice but to resort to this method.

Fortunately, Grace didn't suspect anything, indicating that Xavier probably hadn't contacted Grace to confirm, or else Grace would have known what Jessica had actually done.

With no further questions, Grace left quickly.

Judging by Jessica's demeanor, she probably hadn't found Xavier's number, or else she would have saved it in her phone directly. There was no footage of such an interaction, so it seemed she hadn't found it.

Grace hesitated about whether to message Xavier, informing him that if Jessica called or messaged him, it was from her phone.
After some thought, Grace decided not to disturb Xavier, considering how busy he was.

The weather seemed nice today, with sunshine until evening, followed by the rising moon and stars in the darkening sky.
By 8 o'clock, the sky was filled with beautiful stars. Even in her room, Grace could see the moon rising over the sea, a sight she found captivating.

It was so beautiful that Grace took a picture and sent it to Angela. They enjoyed sharing moments like these, whether of beautiful sceneries or delicious food, with each other.

After a day of preparation, Jessica was satisfied with her makeup and chose her prettiest dress, a short strapless one that barely covered her hips, showcasing her long, slender legs. Jessica had worked hard on her figure, seeking advice from experts to achieve her current look.
When she dressed like this, men couldn't help but stare. Jessica believed that men often thought with their lower halves, would be affected by her appearance, even it was Xavier.

Jessica arrived early at the agreed location but didn't rush to the park pavilion. She wanted to wait for Xavier to arrive before approaching. Otherwise, Xavier might not come if he saw her first.

As the night fell, more people came out to enjoy the beautiful evening. Being close to the mountains, mosquitoes were a common annoyance despite the UV insect repellent devices. Jessica, dressed lightly, was bitten by mosquitoes all over her body, especially her arms and legs. She endured the discomfort with frustration, hoping Xavier would arrive any moment.

Neon lights illuminated the surroundings, as Jessica waited until 8 o'clock to finally spot Xavier, who stood out in the crowd. Jessica was thrilled to see him and walked toward him.

She felt a sense of triumph—Xavier had indeed come! But why did a simple message from Grace's number make Xavier agree to the meeting? Could it be that Grace was using her status as Ryan's fiancée to get closer to Xavier? Was Grace unwilling to help Jessica because she had her own intentions with Xavier?

Jealousy consumed Jessica; she believed she was the best match for Xavier in Skigeth, far superior to Grace.
In her eyes, Grace wasn't even worthy to tie her shoes. Xavier didn't arrive too early to avoid appearing overly eager for the meeting. Grace had chosen the perfect time for their rendezvous.

As Xavier approached the meeting spot, he couldn't see Grace anywhere, since she was the one who had invited him. Why was she late?
Suddenly, Xavier sensed someone approaching from behind while realizing it was now 8 o'clock.

Suddenly, Xavier sensed someone approaching behind him. He thought, 'Was it Grace?'

The next moment, Xavier's brows furrowed. The strong scent of perfume was overwhelming, something Xavier disliked.
He realized that the person was not Grace!

Grace, a perfumer, rarely wore strong scents as they interfered with her sense of smell. Her fragrance was always subtle and refreshing, nothing like this nauseating smell.

Jessica walked up behind Xavier, intending to reach out and hug him directly as well as to embrace him from behind, with her face against his back, a romantic gesture she had seen in movies.
However, before Jessica's hand could touch Xavier, he swiftly moved away, denying her any opportunity.
Xavier's gaze was sharp, his face as sharp as a knife. "Who sent you here?"
Jessica widened her eyes, surprised that Xavier had evaded her. "Why did you..."
Why did Xavier know she wasn't Grace without even turning around?
