Chapter 245 Her Makeup Was Ruined by Kisses

Grace saw him move and dodged quickly.

The guy didn't get mad. "Why rush, Ms. Lewis? Let's chat. You're in the perfume biz, right? I've seen your pics online, but you're even prettier in person."

He leaned in and whispered, "Our company's under my control now. Interested in a collab? Maybe we grab drinks after the cruise and talk more?"

He tried to put his arm around her waist, but someone yanked him away before he could.

"Who is it?" he snapped, turning to see a pair of cold eyes.

"Mr. Montgomery." He'd seen Xavier once but doubted Xavier remembered him.

Xavier pulled him away and stood in his place, wrapping an arm around Grace's waist. "What were you planning to discuss with my date after the cruise?"

His tone was icy. The guy quickly said, "Misunderstanding. I didn't know she was with you."

Who'd have thought Xavier would bring a date? Grace looked ordinary, not stunning, just somewhat attractive.

"Mr. Montgomery, my son's behavior was thoughtless. Please don't hold it against him," his father said, approaching.

He'd stepped away for a moment and returned to find his son had offended Xavier.

"Get lost!" Xavier's voice was cold.

"Alright, I'm leaving." The guy hurried off.

Xavier looked at Grace. "Your makeup's smudged."

"Really?" Grace didn't have a mirror to check.

"Come with me." Xavier took her hand and led her away.

The cruise ship had all kinds of facilities, including private makeup rooms for ladies.

Once the door was closed, a sign indicated someone was inside, ensuring privacy.

The table was covered with high-end makeup products, like a luxury department store counter—a dream for many women.

The makeup mirror was huge, with perfect lighting, showing every detail clearly.

Grace looked in the mirror. "Is my makeup really smudged?"

Puzzled, she raised her hand to touch the corner of her eye, feeling an itch from an eyelash.

Before she could, Xavier's hand circled her waist, lifting her onto the makeup table with one hand.

Grace was shocked as Xavier leaned down and kissed her roughly.

He didn't give her a chance to resist. His kiss was urgent and relentless.

Xavier had wanted to do this even before they boarded the cruise.

Grace nullified all his resistance; too many people had been eyeing her tonight. Her beautiful face could be hidden, but her perfect figure couldn't.

Xavier hated all the lustful looks aimed at Grace. He didn't know when his possessiveness over her had grown so strong.

The makeup room was filled with intimacy.

Grace's hands instinctively wrapped around Xavier's shoulders, while his hand gripped her waist. The mirror reflected their entwined figures.

After a while, Xavier finally let go of Grace.

His thumb gently brushed her lips, his eyes burning with desire.

"Now your makeup is smudged," he said, his voice husky.

Grace stayed silent. It was all Xavier's kiss that ruined her makeup!

At least this time, he hadn't left her lips swollen.

She glanced at herself in the mirror. Her face was flushed, not sure if it was from the kiss or the heat in the room.

Her lipstick was indeed smudged, and Xavier's lips had traces of it.

"Mr. Montgomery, how does the lipstick taste?" Grace asked with a smile.

Xavier's eyes flickered. "Didn't you taste it just now?"

Grace stayed silent.

The taste of Xavier still lingered, so sweet she couldn't even remember her own lipstick's flavor.

She decided not to discuss such topics with Xavier. She could never win against him.

When it came to flirtatious words, Xavier was very skilled. He often said those words in bed.

Grace pulled out a makeup remover pad, hooked her arm around Xavier's neck, and brought his face close. Then she gently wiped the lipstick off his lips.

After cleaning Xavier's lips, Grace took out her lipstick and reapplied it in front of the mirror.

As they were about to leave, Xavier took off his jacket and draped it over Grace's shoulders.

Grace was puzzled. "I'm not cold."

"Put it on," Xavier said firmly, leaving no room for argument.

He considered it generous that he didn't button it up for her.

Xavier's jacket was a bit too large for Grace, making her look like a little bird he had caged.

This way, others couldn't see Grace's figure. Plus, the men's jacket would signal to most people that Grace was with someone, deterring any inappropriate thoughts.

The jacket still carried Xavier's body heat. His face might be cold, but his body was warm.

Grace didn't resist and let Xavier help her put it on.

She looked up and secretly glanced at Xavier. From this angle, his face was flawless, and she could see his strong jawline clearly.

Grace's heart couldn't help but tremble. It was as if she were caught in a whirlpool, helplessly watching herself being pulled deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Then Xavier lowered his eyelashes and met her gaze directly.

"What are you looking at?" Xavier's husky, alluring voice was like a feather tickling her heart, making her itch uncontrollably.

Grace's ears turned red, her long eyelashes fluttering nervously as she looked away, her voice lacking confidence. "I'm not looking at you!"

"Is that so?" Xavier's lips curled into a subtle smile. The sight of Grace blushing while being so disingenuous was utterly enticing, and he longed to kiss her once more.
