Chapter 239 Could Grace be Related to Her?

Xavier and Grace left the clothing store quickly. Grace thought they were heading to the party, but Xavier led her to a restaurant instead.

"We're not going to the party yet?" Grace asked.

"No rush, let's eat first," Xavier said. He knew there wouldn't be much food at the party later.

While eating, Grace asked, "Will Patrick be there? Is he fully recovered?"

She was worried Patrick might cause trouble, but he hadn't done anything so far.

"Not sure, but knowing him, he'll probably be there," Xavier replied.

Patrick wouldn't miss a chance to network with powerful people.

Seeing Grace nibbling on her food, Xavier asked, "What? Are you scared?"

"I'm not scared of him. He's not a monster," Grace said. She just didn't like Patrick.

In the evening, Xavier finally took Grace to the party.

The party was on a huge yacht, with the entire dock reserved and luxury cars everywhere.

By the time they arrived, most guests were already on board. Xavier's status meant being late wasn't a big deal.

Grace, familiar with yachts since childhood, had never seen one this luxurious. The yacht was bought by the birthday host, showing his wealth.

As they boarded, Xavier offered his arm, and Grace took it.

At the entrance stood Jared Peterson, head of the Peterson family, around Patrick's age but looking younger. Today was his fiftieth birthday, making the event grand.

Jared was known for his wealth and philanthropy, always with a warm smile. But Grace was skeptical of such kindness, thanks to Patrick.

"Mr. Peterson, long time no see," Xavier greeted, handing over a gift.

"Mr. Montgomery, indeed. Didn't expect to see you in Skigeth," Jared replied. They had met a few times abroad but knew each other's names well. Jared knew that Xavier was a renowned business mogul.

"And this is?" Jared asked, noticing Grace and feeling a sense of familiarity, especially with her eyes.

"This is my date," Xavier introduced.

"Mr. Montgomery, you brought a date?" Jared was surprised.

Xavier rarely attended social events, and never with a date. Jared scrutinized Grace, noting her presence despite not being the most beautiful woman there.

Grace greeted, "Hello, Mr. Peterson, my name is Grace Lewis."

"Grace, nice name," Jared smiled, trying to figure her out.

"Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Peterson," Grace said, staying composed.

"Mr. Peterson, you go ahead. We'll head inside," Xavier cut in.

"Alright."

As Xavier led Grace inside, Jared watched her, deep in thought. He called over his subordinate, his expression turning cold and his eyes sharp.

"Find out everything about this Grace. I want to know all her details, including her parents," he ordered.

"Yes, sir!" The subordinate immediately set off to investigate.

Jared couldn't shake the memory of a face he hadn't seen in almost twenty-five years. Could Grace be related to her? He had been searching for her for years, and the last clue led to Skigeth.

Everyone here today was a notable figure, but Xavier's presence still drew a crowd. He rarely attended social events, so many seized the chance to talk to him. Xavier disliked these gatherings because of the insincere interactions, but some people just wouldn't take a hint.

Grace met several entrepreneurs while standing with Xavier. Hearing that Xavier had brought a date, Ryan was curious to see who it was.

Ryan had also brought a date, Jessica. After some time away from the public eye, Jessica had recovered and looked well beside Ryan.

"Xavier is over there. I want to go greet him," Ryan said, eager to see Xavier's date.

"I'll go with you," Jessica replied.

From a distance, Ryan saw Xavier and Grace. Positioned behind Xavier, he couldn't see Grace's face clearly.

The woman with Xavier had a striking figure, reminding Ryan of a model. He couldn't help but imagine holding her slender waist.

'It must be one of Xavier's bedmates.' he thought.

Ryan couldn't take his eyes off her. He snapped a photo and sent it to Grace without thinking.

Ryan: [Xavier brought another lover to the party. I told you, he doesn't like you at all. He's just playing with you. You're nothing to him.]

Grace's phone buzzed. She looked down and saw the message, assuming it was from Ryan. Despite blocking many of his numbers, he always found a new one to message her.

Reading the message, Grace thought Ryan was out of his mind.

Ryan noticed the woman pick up her phone right after he sent the message to Grace.

He thought, 'It must be a coincidence. Grace couldn't be here. With such a beautiful back, it couldn't be her.'

Then, the woman exchanged words with someone, clinked glasses, and downed her drink. As she turned to place the empty glass on a waiter's tray, Ryan caught a glimpse of her profile.

Seeing Grace's face made Ryan tremble, his pupils dilating in disbelief. How could it be?
