Chapter 658 Being a Model

"Sure, when?" Grace agreed eagerly.

"In two days."

"Two days? That's so soon!"

"It's not that rushed. I've been prepping for this for a while. This fashion show is pretty big, and honestly, I'm a bit nervous. But with you there, I won't be. I know you'll showcase my designs perfectly."

"When are you getting to Aetheria?" Grace asked.

Angela replied, "I'm already at the airport, almost there."

"Awesome, I'll come pick you up!"

Grace checked the time and headed to the airport with Marcus just as Angela was about to arrive.

It wasn't long before Angela showed up.

"Grace!" Angela emerged from the terminal and hugged Grace tightly. "Feels like I haven't seen you in forever."

"And my adorable nephew, come here and give me a kiss!"

Angela leaned in to kiss Marcus, who quickly dodged. "No, no!"

But Marcus couldn't escape and ended up with several lipstick marks on his face, looking at Grace with a pitiful expression. "Mommy."

Grace pulled him close. "Alright, let me clean you up."

After wiping Marcus's face, Grace looked behind Angela. "Where's your luggage?"

"My luggage isn't here yet, but someone is waiting for it. He told me to come find you first."

That "someone" was quite obvious.

Grace glanced at Angela's ring finger, noticing the ring that had never come off all these years.

"How are things with my cousin?"

"Same as always, just getting by. But enough about that. You said you'd be in Aetheria for a few days and then come back, but you never did. You have no idea how bored I've been back home. What have you been up to?"

"Not much."

At this point, Marcus chimed in, "Mommy has a crush on a man!"

"Really?" Angela was shocked.

Grace, falling for someone else? She couldn't believe it!

And in such a short time, how could Grace suddenly like another man?

"What kind of guy is he? Is he super tall, with a great body, and more handsome than a movie star?" Angela was curious.

She did recall Grace mentioning someone who looked a lot like Xavier. Could it be...

"Don't listen to Marcus. It's not like that."

"Then what is it like?" Angela was intrigued.

Marcus said, "He's pretty average-looking, and he doesn't seem to like Mommy."

"What?" Angela was even more shocked. With Grace's charm, she couldn't believe there was someone she couldn't win over.

"Grace, who is this guy?"

"I don't know. I don't even know his name."

Grace had met him several times, and in those brief encounters, they'd kissed, hugged, and he'd even carried her. Yet, she still didn't know his name.

"No way!"

Angela patted Grace's shoulder. "You really can't do without me. Don't worry, Grace. If you like him, I'll make sure you get him, even if I have to tie him up and bring him to you."

"It's been so long since you felt this way about someone. I think you should seize the moment. If someone makes your heart race, go for it. You won't know if you're compatible until you spend time together, right?"

Angela was very supportive. Xavier had been gone for five years. Why should Grace waste her life waiting for a dead man?

Grace was silent.

She finally understood where Marcus picked up those phrases. It was all from Angela's influence!

"Tell me where he lives, and I'll kidnap him!"

Grace was silent.

This sounded all too familiar. Hadn't Marcus just tried something similar a few days ago?

"Why are you being as childish as Marcus? There's nothing between us. I think he looks like Xavier. Besides, he seems mysterious, like he's hiding something. And he's very skilled. You shouldn't bother him."

"You're defending him so much. When are you going to introduce us?"

Grace shook her head. "We're not even friends. He wouldn't come to dinner."

And that guy was so cold. If she hadn't pursued him, they probably wouldn't have had any interaction at all.

After a brief chat, Scott came out with the luggage.

The group headed back to the Coleman Villa, which was spacious enough to accommodate several more people.

Angela had brought a lot of outfits for the fashion show, in various styles.

Besides Grace, there were two other models who had already checked into a hotel.

Angela had Grace try on some outfits, making adjustments as needed.

Watching Grace in her designs, Angela couldn't help but praise, "Grace, it's a shame you're not a star."

With that face and figure, even as just a pretty face, she'd outshine many.

Grace had millions of online followers, many of whom adored her looks.

Despite her low profile, many admired this female CEO.

"I don't have the acting skills to be a star."

Angela made some tweaks to the outfit Grace was wearing, feeling that her design was now perfect.

Angela spent the next few days busy with the fashion show.

Grace, besides working, heard that Dorian was ill and found a chance to visit the palace.

Dorian was indeed sick, lying in bed and looking unwell.

"Mr. Astor, how are you?" Grace asked, looking at Dorian.

Dorian was already fifty, and time had left its marks on him.

"I'm fine, just overworked and tired. Grace, I'm happy you came to see me."

Dorian always felt he owed Grace a lot.

His sensitive position meant he still hadn't publicly acknowledged Grace as his daughter.

This had indeed been unfair to Grace.

But seeing his descendants doing well in his old age was a comfort.

"Work never ends. You've worked hard for so many years; it's time to consider retirement."

Dorian had been thinking about retirement and had already groomed a successor.

But at this critical moment, he worried that the young successor might not be able to withstand Hugh's temptations and threats, so he needed to hold on a bit longer.
