Chapter 505 "Are you crying? Did they bully you again?"
Ainsley had been all smiles these past few days because everything is going smoothly.
And Angela didn't seem so resistant anymore. In fact, she even returned to the Turner Mansion these past few days, showing less resistance. Ainsley thought Angela had come around.
It was rare for everyone to gather at the family dinner table and eat together. Angela sat at the far end, quietly eating her meal.
"If you had thought this way earlier, it would have been better. In a few days, there will be a wedding banquet, and before the wedding, you have to dine with the Ross family. You must come, do you hear me?" Ainsley commanded.
Angela smiled happily, "Sure."
She agreed so readily that Ainsley was a bit suspicious, feeling like there was something fishy.
Ainsley said, "What are you up to?"
Angela said, "You're really funny. When I didn't agree, you forced me to agree. Now that I agree, you start doubting me. So what do you want from me?"
She's not afraid now; she's already married.

Edith quickly soothed her, "Mom, don't get angry. It's not good for you to be angry. Don't stoop to Angela's level. Have some vegetables."
After serving Ainsley, she also served Cruz, "Dad, you should eat more too."
Finally, she served Omari a lot, "Omari, you've been working hard lately. I feel like you've lost weight. You must take care of yourself and pay attention to your health. You're the pillar of our family now. Mom worries about you every day."
Angela laughed inwardly at Edith's hypocritical behavior.
Edith's concern for her parents was just a prelude to serving Omari, so it wouldn't seem abrupt.
Did she really think she could stay single forever and keep Omari to herself?
Ainsley didn't know Edith's thoughts. If she knew Edith had a crush on Omari, based on Angela's understanding of Ainsley, she believed Ainsley would kick Edith out without hesitation.
Angela had just smiled when Edith's glare shot over.
"Omari, aren't you looking for a girlfriend? Isn't Mom worried?"
Ainsley said, "Omari has his plans. You don't need to worry about that."
Angela said, "I'm just concerned about Omari. I'm getting married as his sister, and he doesn't even have a girlfriend. That's not right. Omari, you have to get married eventually, right? Maybe you'll end up like me, marrying someone for the sake of benefits, and then someone who's been eyeing you for years won't have a chance."
Ainsley frowned, "Angela, what are you sarcastically talking about? Do you still want to eat this meal?"
Angela pushed her bowl away, "I didn't really want to eat anyway. Edith, don't you agree?"
Edith's face turned pale, as if her secret had been exposed.
"Angela! I don't understand what nonsense you're spouting. If you're here to upset Mom, then the Turner family doesn't welcome you."
"It's not up to you to decide whether I'm welcome or not. Why are you so agitated? Did I hit a nerve with your disgusting and perverted thoughts? You like..."
"Shut up!" Edith interrupted Angela.
She was visibly flustered, "Angela, Mom called you back to have a meal, not to stir up trouble in this house."
Angela said, "Do you know what I hate most about you? It's your fawning attitude, pretending to say nice things while actually badmouthing me. I used to tolerate you, but now, I don't want to anymore."
Angela looked at Ainsley and Cruz, "Don't think this adopted daughter is a good person. Her thoughts are not as pure as you imagine. This house has someone she's been coveting for many years. I'm waiting for that day; there will be a good show to watch."
"Just as well, I don't want to eat this meal anymore. I won't delay your family time. I'm leaving."
With that, Angela left gracefully.
If you asked her how she felt now, she would say she felt great!
It turned out that going crazy felt good. She never wronged herself. If someone made her unhappy, she made them unhappy, too. It's only fair.
She had been resisting the idea of marriage before, so she hadn't gone crazy properly.
Omari chased after her, "Angela!"
Omari grabbed Angela, "Angela, it's been a long time since our family had a meal together. Why don't you finish your meal before leaving? Mom didn't mean it that way. We're all family."

Omari frowned, "Angela, why don't you try to get along with Mom? She actually loves you a lot."

Angela left decisively. This house was never her place of refuge but a cage from which she wanted to escape. Every time she left, it was unpleasant.
After Angela left, she unexpectedly ran into Scott.
"What are you doing here?" Angela was surprised.
"Waiting for you," Scott said.
At that moment, Angela's heart suddenly felt a dense pain.
Her nose felt a bit sour, as if she had been fighting the whole world, with everyone disliking her, making her want to escape. But when she turned around, she found someone waiting for her.
Every time she left the Turner Mansion, she found it unpleasant, so she sat in her car for a long time before driving away.
Actually, if anyone from the Turner family had come out, they would have seen Angela waiting at the door for half an hour.
But no one ever did, not even once. Neither Ainsley nor Cruz ever came out to look at her.
"Why are you waiting for me?" Angela walked over, her eyes slightly red.
Scott looked at her, "Are you crying? Did they bully you again?"
"Are you kidding? Why would I cry? I'm a warrior, and they can't bully me. I just scolded them all."
"Alright, let's not talk about me. You haven't said why you're here."
Scott said, "Grandpa was afraid you'd run away, so he sent me to keep an eye on you."
A hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes, "So it was your grandpa who sent you?"
"What else?" Scott retorted.
He wouldn't tell Angela that he came on his own, afraid that if the Turner family locked Angela up again, she wouldn't be able to get out.
So he waited outside. If Angela didn't come out after a few hours, he would break in.
Of course, women are troublesome. If he told Angela, she might be moved and fall in love with him. So he used Chase as an excuse.
