Chapter 74 Old Bastard

"Mr. Gunter, my daughter is still young; this is absolutely out of the question!"
It was one thing to send Honey over, but how could he possibly send his daughter into the hands of this devil?
However, Daniel was calmly drinking his coffee, and after putting down his cup, his expression turned gloomy.
"I haven't said anything. Where did you get that idea?" Daniel asked.
"I just feel sorry for Taylor. I thought she had a hard time raising these two daughters, so I was thinking of giving her a few billion to spend. But now it seems Taylor may not even find my money appealing," Daniel said, sounding regretful.
How could Zach not understand what this brute meant? he clenched his fist. If it weren't for the man's wealth, he would have definitely beaten him up and left him in a sorry state. Zach would have surely acted upon it.
However, Madison was still so young, and he couldn't push his daughter into the abyss.
But this money was too important to him; it was his lifeline. If he couldn't get it, his company would surely go under.
"Mr. Gunter, my daughter really can't do it. Otherwise, why don't you see if there's anyone else who catches your fancy? I promise I'll arrange it for you!"
Daniel replied calmly, "If you love your family so much, why aren't you at home with your daughter at this time? Why come to me?"
Zach's eyes turned red, but he couldn't say a word.
"Mr. Gunter, my company's cash flow has been a bit tight recently. Otherwise, you can consider it as a loan from me."
"A loan? That can be done."
Zach was pleasantly surprised to hear Daniel's words, but his joy was short-lived when he heard Daniel continue.
"However, when you borrow money from me, you have to leave something behind. Although you are Taylor's husband, that's no exception. An arm or a leg will do."
Zach's face turned pale instantly. "Mr. Gunter, this is really not possible, not possible at all!"
Daniel lost his patience and commanded the security guard at the door, "If that's the case, there's nothing more to discuss. Throw him out."
"No, no, Mr. Gunter, Mr. Gunter, I actually have another daughter. Why don't you take a look at her?" Zach suddenly thought of Grace.
"Bring the photos over for me to see."
Zach went over with his phone and found a video of Grace. There were videos of her when she got engaged to Ryan, and also her live stream today when she opened her business, which could be found online.
Zach handed over the video, and as soon as Daniel saw the girl's face, he became furious.
"Zach, are you trying to fool me? Who do you think you can deceive with such an ugly woman?" Daniel waved his hand and said, "Throw him out!"
And so, Zach was thrown out of the hotel. He got up, looking all messy.
Madison was his daughter, still so young, she hadn't even had a boyfriend yet. It was out of the question.
But that old bastard was already in his sixties or seventies. His performance in that department wasn't great either.
Zach quickly dismissed the thought. The old bastard was a beast, but he couldn't become one himself. How could he sell his own daughter?
Zach didn't know that what he believed to be an ugly daughter was actually a stunning beauty.
Grace also didn't know. Because of her face, which had been made up to hide her true beauty since childhood, she had narrowly escaped a disaster.
Growing up, her mother had always said that while being beautiful could bring many advantages, it could also bring endless troubles.
Her mother only wanted her to grow up healthy, to be an ordinary and average person, the kind that can't be found in a crowd. She hoped that she would live well.
After closing the shop, Grace went to celebrate with Angela.
Angela first took Grace to her own home and then started to remove Grace's makeup.
"What are you doing, Angela?"
"Don't worry, Grace. I'm just removing your makeup, not putting any on you. You've been too tired lately. Today is a rare happy occasion, so I'm taking you to relax and regain your youth!"
Saying that, Angela quickly removed Grace's makeup.
Grace's skin was fair, tender, and delicate, seemingly fragile. Her bright eyes sparkled with allure.
Grace's exquisite features, coupled with her beautiful face, make everything around her pale in comparison.
"Such beauty! If only I were a man, I would undoubtedly make you my wife!" Angela sighed wistfully once more, lamenting her feminine form.
"Do we have to go out like this?" Grace looked at herself in the mirror, feeling a bit nervous.
"Of course." Angela styled Grace's hair in a high ponytail and then gave her a set of clothes. "Go change."
"This is... the Skigeth University uniform?"
Grace, at twenty-two years old, had graduated from university and had been away from campus for almost two years. This outfit held many memories for her.
"Yes, I said we're retracing our youth. Hurry up and change; I'll change, either."
Grace and Angela quickly changed into the university uniform, which consisted of a white shirt and a short skirt.
With Grace's bare face, high ponytail, and this outfit, they looked just like college students. The pair appeared as though they were freshmen in elementary school, with Grace's innocent visage so youthful that one might easily mistake her for a high school student.
"Hurry, Grace!" Angela pulled Grace along, saying that they were going to eat steak. They ended up going to the back entrance of Skigeth University, where there was a street full of snacks. It was particularly lively at night.
As they walked on the street, Grace's attention rate was one hundred percent, and many people even took out their phones to take pictures.
People even came up to ask about their class, but Grace didn't answer. It was only when she put on her mask that the number of people bothering them decreased.
Angela and Grace went to a pizza shop, which was their favorite during college.
After finishing the pizza, Angela pulled Grace to have a drink at the bar next to it. The bartender looked at them and directly asked, "Are you of legal age?"
The two of them took out their driver's licenses, and only then did the bartender give them alcohol with peace of mind.
Because they were happy, Grace and Angela drank a lot. The two of them chatted from childhood to high school and college.
The school here had many students. It was a place to escape from societal pressure, with no strong sense of society and only the youth's enthusiasm.
With no makeup, Grace's face started to turn red from alcohol, and she ended up resting her head on the table as if she were sleeping.
"Grace, you've had too much to drink. Let me take you home," Angela said when she saw Grace lying there. She tried to help Grace but ended up almost falling herself.
Grace was still dazed. She held her phone, trying to figure out something. "I...I called...called the driver."
Before drinking, Grace had called a driver to come and pick her up.
Since no one could rely on anyone else, they always had to consider all possibilities.
What was the driver's number again? Grace searched for it but was overwhelmed by the multitude of options.
"Let me have a look." Angela took Grace's phone and placed it in front of herself, examining it carefully. At the same time, she asked, "What did you save the driver's number as?"
Grace wanted to lift her head, but it was too heavy.
"Just 'Driver'."
"Driver." Angela scrolled through the contacts.
Angela searched and finally found it. She directly clicked on the number and dialed.
After a short while, someone answered the call.
"Hello?" a magnetic voice came through.
Angela murmured, "The driver you called has a nice voice. Here you go!"
She handed the phone to Grace.
