Chapter 475 Grace, Marry Me

Grace suppressed her inner thoughts and focused on her work over there.

Sure enough, when she started working, she could forget everything else.

She began to look at the documents seriously, not even noticing when the study door opened or when Xavier walked in from outside.

It wasn't until a pair of hands hugged her from behind, enveloping her in Xavier's scent with a faint minty sweetness, that Grace tilted her head slightly. "How did you know I was here?"

"The Bameran Villa is so small, I guessed."

Grace was silent.

If he said that out loud, he would definitely get hit.

The Bameran Villa couldn't be described as small; it was larger than some estates and beautifully built. Although Skigeth's housing prices weren't as high as Oakworth's, creating such a home would cost millions of dollars.

"You're really smart to guess where I am so quickly." Grace felt a tickle on her neck from Xavier's hair.

In fact, Xavier didn't guess she was there; he had searched several times.

At first, he thought Grace had left. After asking the servant at the gate, he found out she hadn't.

Then Xavier searched around and found Grace there.

"I still have some work to do. Why don't you go rest first?"

"No need. I'll wait until you're done." Xavier continued to hug Grace from behind.

With Xavier there, Grace felt quite embarrassed to work, as if a teacher were watching her. She was a novice employee, and Xavier was a big shot. She was afraid of making mistakes and being noticed by Xavier.

"Don't watch me work; it makes me nervous."

Xavier took the opportunity to plant a kiss on Grace's cheek. "I'm not watching you work; I'm watching you."

With Grace in his arms, how could he focus on work? Of course, he was watching Grace.

Grace was silent.

Grace had no choice but to continue working seriously, though Xavier kept touching her.

Xavier's hands first circled her waist, his warm palms resting on her lower abdomen, feeling the presence of the baby. His lips were also busy, leaving kisses on Grace's cheeks and neck.

Grace had to speed up, finishing the document and handling the necessary parts before sending it to Lily.

"Stop messing with me; I'm done."

"Then let's go to bed."

Grace nodded. "Okay."

Just as she was about to put on her shoes, Xavier picked her up.

Grace exclaimed, "What are you doing!"

She instinctively wrapped her arms around Xavier's neck, afraid of falling.

Xavier carried Grace back to the bedroom, placed her on the bed, and lay down beside her, pulling the covers over them.

"I haven't allowed you to sleep with me yet!"

Xavier naturally moved closer to Grace, extending his arm to hold her, letting her lean into his embrace.

"Indulge me just this once, okay?"

Grace thought for a moment. "Alright, but just this once."

"Okay," Xavier's voice was low.

Grace knew he had a lot on his mind, too. She reached out and wrapped her arms around Xavier's waist, and they fell asleep in each other's arms.

"So, what happened to Patrick?" Grace asked.

"He's done for."

"What do you mean by 'done for'?" Grace had only heard Patrick's screams from outside and didn't know what had happened inside.

"He's done for in every way."

Patrick would never speak again, never stand up, never lift his hands, and his reproductive organs were ruined.

Patrick was now a wheelchair-bound invalid, unable to do anything and needing others to take care of him.

From the current situation, it was unlikely that the Montgomery family would continue to care for Patrick, and Ryan certainly wouldn't.

His future was bleak.

But Patrick had brought this upon himself; he had committed many crimes and taken countless lives.

Xavier had asked about Donna's death. Patrick had lured her to the seaside, robbed her, and pushed her into the sea, making it look like an accident. He had even used her phone to send a message to Evelyn, also known as Elizabeth, to lure her over.

Patrick had indeed intended to kill both Donna and Elizabeth, but his plan had failed, and Elizabeth had escaped.

However, Elizabeth later died.

Xavier also asked if Patrick was responsible for Elizabeth's death, but Patrick denied it, and it seemed genuine.

"So you knew about this all along."

Grace said, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. Our relationship was strained at the time, and I told you it couldn't have been my mom."

"So you knew all along that your fiancé was actually me, and we were destined to be together, making it legitimate."

When Xavier heard this recording, his heart almost leaped out of his chest. It was a divine revelation that nearly overwhelmed him.

It turned out Grace was destined to be his wife from the beginning.

But their fates had been altered, and Patrick was the main culprit!

"What do you mean 'legitimate'? I haven't agreed yet!"

"Our moms have agreed."

"Don't mix things up. My mom is my mom, and your mom is your mom!"

They weren't a family yet, and Xavier was trying to take advantage of her.

"I'm very happy." Xavier's hand stroked her hair, his deep voice in her ear.

Grace was stunned. "Happy about what?"

"That you're mine, all mine." Xavier's intense possessiveness.

He was happy for many reasons, but mostly because of Grace.

Grace couldn't help but smile. This time, she didn't argue.

"Grace, marry me."

Grace's ears turned red. Wasn't this too fast?

Although Xavier had mentioned marriage before, Grace hadn't been ready.

Now, hearing Xavier say it again, Grace's heart trembled.

She pinched Xavier's clothes and said, "I need to think about it. Besides, I'm not alone now, and I'm not that easy to fool. If you can't convince my family, I won't marry you."

"Grandpa and your brothers will be lenient and let you marry me."

"That's not certain. You don't have a good image in front of them."

"Then I'll have to perform well and take good care of Grace."

"Don't mess around. Please don't touch me. I..." Before Grace could finish, Xavier's passionate lips silenced her.
