Chapter 522 Silently Jealous

"Get out!" Omari's temples were throbbing with anger. Seeing Edith now made him feel disgusted.

Edith tried to touch Omari, but he pushed her away.

Edith fell to the ground, crying her heart out.

Ainsley was unconscious in the hospital for two days before waking up. After this incident, she completely despised Edith.

Edith even thought about running away. She wanted to take some money from the Turner Mansion and leave, but Angela wasn't going to let her go that easily.

She had Scott find a few people to keep an eye on Edith. If Edith tried to run, they would catch her immediately.

Edith couldn't escape, and she couldn't even return to the Turner Mansion now.

Edith had done many evil deeds over the years and it was time for her to pay the price. Angela had been waiting for this day for a long time and wasn't done watching the show.

When Ainsley realized she had been unconscious for so long, her first reaction was, "Where's my son? Where's Edith? That bitch better not have done anything to Omari again!"

Angela said, "Don't worry, she tried to run but I stopped her."

"While you were unconscious, I sent out the invitations for the Turner family. You don't need to thank me too much, and Omari is fine, so you don't need to worry."

"What invitations?" Ainsley asked.

Edith said, "Of course, to your relatives. I noticed you hadn't sent many, so I wrote a few more and notified more people."

"You!"

Ainsley hadn't planned to invite many people. This wasn't a happy occasion; the Turner family was full of scandals now.

But Angela had notified everyone.

Angela stood up and looked down at Ainsley. "What, you don't plan to notify your relatives about the happy event of the Turner family's daughter getting married? Everyone knows Edith is your precious daughter."

"Now you should see Edith's true colors. Since you're awake, I'll leave the Turner family's matters to you. Handle Edith yourself."

Angela was completely done with it. Ainsley's methods were much more effective than hers.

Angela said, "By the way, my husband has already given me the wedding gift money. Don't talk nonsense in front of others anymore."

"That poor guy, you should divorce him as soon as possible!" Ainsley was still dissatisfied with Scott.

Even though she had only met him a couple of times, she didn't like him.

"Why should I divorce him? I'm very happy with my life now."

Besides, Scott wasn't poor at all, but there was no need to tell Ainsley that.

Soon, it was the day of Edith and Zander's wedding.

Edith was being watched by Ainsley's people and had nowhere to run. They even withheld food from her for two days until she behaved.

Zander was already on his second marriage, so he didn't invite many guests. The Turner family didn't have many guests either, but after Angela's publicity, a lot of people showed up.

Ainsley and Cruz both had dark expressions and didn't look happy.

On the other side, the Ross family members were also awkwardly smiling and greeting guests.

The only one who seemed happy was Angela.

Angela was very relaxed and in a good mood.

At that moment, someone approached Angela. "Are you Angela?"

Angela looked at the man. "And you are?"

"I'm Caden Reynolds. Don't you remember me? We went to the same high school."

Angela suddenly realized. "Caden! It's you! You've lost so much weight, I didn't recognize you."

Caden had been a chubby, cheerful guy in school. Now he looked quite handsome and mature.

"I almost didn't recognize you either. Why does this wedding seem so depressing? It doesn't look like anyone is happy. And didn't your mom really like Edith? How could she let Edith marry a divorced man?"

Angela said, "I don't know, I'm not sure."

"Are you still not getting along with the Turner family?" Caden asked.

"I think it's better now, not as bad as before."

"By the way, there's a high school reunion coming up. Are you going?"

"Probably not. I don't want to go." Angela didn't have close relationships with most of her classmates, except for Grace.

"Do you remember Will from our class? He was so funny. Just recently, he..."

Caden and Angela chatted away, having a lot to talk about, especially about their former classmates.

"Really?" Angela asked.

"Of course, it's true. A lot of people laughed at him. And that reckless guy Axel, he's been..."

Caden and Angela were having a good conversation, their heads close together as Caden showed Angela some photos.

Angela didn't notice the man nearby who looked very displeased.

Scott walked straight towards her, and even from a distance, he could hear Angela's laughter. He wondered what was making her so happy.

Scott got closer, but Angela still didn't notice him.

Angela seemed even happier, her hand patting Caden's shoulder. "Caden, I can't believe you did that when you were a kid."

Scott cleared his throat.

But with all the noise around, they didn't hear him.

Scott's face darkened, and he knocked on the table.

Angela and Caden looked up and finally saw Scott.

Caden, who had been interrupted, was a bit confused. "Who are you? Are you one of our classmates too?"

Angela said, "He must be looking for me. What are you doing here? When did you get here?"

Angela didn't know Scott would come.

Scott coldly said, "Grandpa sent me."

In reality, he was worried that after everything Angela had done, the Turner family or Edith might hold a grudge and try to harm her.

Even though he didn't like Angela, given their current relationship, he felt responsible for protecting her.

Chase sent him?

Angela found that hard to believe.

"Find a place to sit, but I advise you to keep a low profile. It's someone else's wedding, don't ruin it."

Scott sat down next to Angela. Caden asked, "Who is this?"

Scott also looked at Angela, probably wanting to see how she would answer.

Angela waved her hand. "Just a friend, don't mind him. Where were we?"

Caden continued talking, but Scott cleared his throat again, interrupting their conversation.

"What's wrong? Is your throat uncomfortable? Do you have a cold?"

"No." Scott's expression remained the same.

Since he said no, Angela didn't ask further.

She turned back to continue chatting with Caden. "Actually, when I was in school..."

Scott started coughing again, as if he was about to cough up a lung.
