Chapter 408 Warning, Stay Away from Grace

Grace took a step back, dodging Omari's touch.

"It's a long story, but this is how I really look," she said.

"Grace, what's going on?" Omari acted all surprised. "No matter what you look like, you're still the Grace I like."

Just as Grace was about to say something, Scott came over and yanked Omari away. "Who do you think you are, hitting on my sister?"

Scott, who was about the same height as Omari, was super protective of Grace now. No one could get close to her without his say-so.

"He's Angela's brother," Grace explained.

"Oh, I get it, that firecracker's brother, huh?" Scott replied, instantly disliking the guy.

Grace turned to Omari, "It's better if you don't say things like that anymore. I have something to do, so I'll be leaving now." With that, she started to walk away.

"Watch out," Omari suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

He squatted down and picked up a shell. "There are a lot of shells on this beach; it's easy to cut your feet. You're not wearing shoes, so it's inconvenient. Let me carry you over." And with that, he scooped her up.

Scott was stunned and snapped, "First warning. Put Grace down."

From a short distance away, Xavier watched as Omari carried Grace off, his eyes narrowing with the urge to go over and break Omari's arms.

Xavier was sure Omari was doing it on purpose!

Omari finally put Grace down.

"Omari, don't do that again. I don't have feelings for you. I only saw you as a friend before," she warned.

"What about now?" Omari asked.

"If you keep this up, we won't even be friends." Grace turned and walked away. Omari wanted to follow, but Scott blocked him. "Stay away from her. If you touch Grace again, don't blame me for breaking your arms!"

Omari looked at Scott, confused about when Grace got another brother.

But he truly did love Grace; his feelings for her were genuine.

Omari stood there, watching Grace's back until she disappeared from sight.

Just as he turned around, a fist came at him, and Omari, unprepared, was knocked to the ground.

He tried to get up but was pinned down by Xavier's foot, unable to move.

"Xavier, what are you doing?" Omari looked up at Xavier, who was stepping on him.

Xavier's eyes were bloodshot, and his powerful aura radiated anger, making him terrifying.

The usually composed Xavier was anything but calm in this moment. His hand gripped Omari's with such force that a slight increase in pressure could render Omari's arm useless.

"Stay away from Grace!" Xavier warned. "If there's a next time, you won't be able to handle the consequences."

As he watched Xavier leave, Omari struggled to his feet. The punch from Xavier had been truly savage; Omari’s lip was split, with beads of blood beginning to surface.

He wiped his lips, wondering how Grace had come to despise him so. He believed himself to be quite remarkable. Yet, the thought of losing Grace left him feeling disconsolate.

Reflecting on the recent blow Xavier had punched him, he vowed to win Grace’s heart at any cost.

Omari soon left the resort because Xavier had put pressure on the Turner Group, making it hard for them to breathe in a short time.

Although he had taken over the company, his father was still the chairman.

And his actions were being watched by the company's shareholders, so he had to head back.

Omari had left, and Xavier felt a bit satisfied. But he didn't expect that with Omari gone, Sterling would show up.

Sterling was a whole different beast compared to Omari. He was reckless and dangerous. More importantly, Xavier had no clue when Grace had gotten so close to Sterling.

In Xavier's mind, Grace met Sterling because Scott had some beef with him. Basically, Sterling was here to stir up trouble.

Sterling knew Grace was at the resort and had secretly checked her out. He found her even more intriguing.

Sterling was blown away that Grace, with her stunning looks, had stayed under the radar for so long.

With this realization, he got why Grace could captivate Xavier; she was truly a gem.

After digging a bit, Sterling found out that Grace had been hanging out with the Coleman family lately and had come to the resort with them.

Steven and Thomas were pretty chill, but Scott, with his fiery temper, was a tougher nut to crack. So, Sterling played dirty and had Scott locked up.

Grace was informed by a bodyguard. "Ms. Lewis, Mr. Coleman lost a bet to Sterling."

"What?" Grace was shocked. "Sterling?"

Grace knew Sterling loved to gamble, but what worried her was that his bets were often dangerous.

"Where are they?" Grace quickly asked.

The bodyguard gave the address, which was the entertainment room at the resort, specifically the billiard hall.

Grace rushed over and saw Sterling lounging on the sofa.

Sterling's long legs were crossed, just like when they first met. He was sitting in the same position, holding a cigar, looking like someone you didn't want to mess with.

"Scott!" Grace called as she entered.

Sterling looked at Grace's face, finding it even more interesting.

He put down the cigar and smiled, "Is this your sister? So gorgeous."

Grace stayed silent.

"Grace, what are you doing here?" Scott asked, not wanting her to get involved and hoping she'd leave quickly.

Grace walked in directly and said, "Mr. Wallace."

Sterling looked up, his movements smooth. He asked, "And your name is…?"

With no other option, Grace introduced herself, "I am Grace. I don't know how my brother offended you, Mr. Wallace, but could you please let him go?"

"Grace?" Sterling narrowed his eyes at her. "Which Grace?"

Grace stayed silent.

From Sterling's gaze, Grace felt he was doing it on purpose.

Grace knew Sterling was a sly guy. She had shown her true face for several days now, and she couldn't believe Sterling hadn't figured it out.

Sterling's plan was to set Grace up, using Scott as bait.

"I am the Grace you know," Grace said.

"The Grace I know doesn't look like this," Sterling teased.

It was clear Sterling was deliberately targeting her.

"Can I talk to Mr. Wallace alone?" Grace asked.

Sterling waved his hand, signaling the others to leave.

Scott was worried about Grace and said, "Grace, don't be afraid of him. We have the support of the Coleman family; we don't need to fear him."

"Scott, Mr. Wallace and I are friends. Don't worry, we're just going to talk for a bit," Grace responded, coldly staring at Sterling.
