Chapter 157 Grace's Stunning Entrance
Xavier's seat offered the best view.
The host personally escorted Xavier to his seat. Xavier crossed his long legs, his expression inscrutable.
Xavier, like a proud king, gazed ahead with an indifferent look, his cold eyes revealing no emotion.
The host, having gone to great lengths to invite Xavier, hoped to discuss something with him, but he remained mostly silent.
The host was about to say something when Xavier reminded him, "It's about to start."
The host then fell silent, sitting beside Xavier, quietly watching the fashion show.
This fashion show had gathered the world's top designers, making it highly prestigious.
Angela's team was scheduled to appear later, so there was still some time to wait.
Most fashion shows were quite similar, with the fit of the clothes and the models being crucial.
Big companies and studios attending such events would hire top models who brought their fame. Professional models would showcase their beauty, drawing attention to the clothes they wore.
The designs from these renowned studios were indeed impressive, highlighting the models' strengths.
The venue was not entirely quiet, with many people discussing not only the clothes but also the models.
Xavier sat there calmly throughout, his eyes devoid of any emotion.
If one looked closely, one would notice his gaze was not on the stage.
He was not interested in the fashion show; if not for the host's repeated invitations, he would not have come.
Xavier's fingers lightly tapped on his knee, his mind occupied with work documents. He recalled an issue in a document he reviewed today and took out his phone to send Mason a message, asking him to verify it again.
However, before he could put his phone away, Xavier heard the sound of people around him taking a deep breath.
The previously noisy venue suddenly fell silent, as if everyone held their breath.
Xavier then looked up, and with just one glance, he couldn't look away.
A veiled woman walked down the runway.
Unlike the other models, who exuded confidence and flair, this woman appeared somewhat nervous.
Her walking posture and movements revealed that she was not a professional model, yet her figure was even more perfect than the models'.
It was precisely this difference that made her stand out, capturing everyone's attention amidst the aesthetic fatigue.
Moreover, unlike the others, she wore a silk scarf covering the lower half of her face, drawing everyone's gaze to her stunning eyes.
Those eyes were incredibly beautiful, brimming with vitality, as if they could speak. With just one look, she could captivate all attention.
Her veiled face left ample room for boundless imagination. Numerous individuals were tempted to remove the scarf and uncover the beauty hidden beneath it. They envisioned a face of unparalleled beauty, like Aphrodite from mythology, gracing the mortal world.
Xavier's gaze deepened as it fell upon the woman, a smile curving his lips without him even realizing it. What he had thought would be just an ordinary show turned out to be a place where he could see Grace.
It seemed that no one else here recognized Grace.
For some reason, this thought put Xavier in a very good mood.
Tonight, Grace was undoubtedly the most outstanding among all the models.
As a result, many people would surely seek information about Grace.
Xavier leaned towards the host. "What's the name of that model?"
The host immediately had someone look it up and soon provided a name that Xavier had never heard before.
"Is there any information on her?" Xavier asked.
The host quickly brought over a tablet. "Yes."
When Angela filled out the information, she inputted the name of the original model who had injured her foot. Aware that Grace preferred not to use her own identity, Angela decided to leave the details unchanged.
That model wasn't from Skigeth, so any investigation would lead only to her, not to Grace.
The original model also had no idea who had replaced her.
Angela had thought everything through carefully before allowing Grace to take the stage.
Xavier glanced through the information briefly and then handed the tablet back to the host. "If anyone tries to look up her information, you know what to do."
"Understood." The host wasn't foolish. Xavier's concern for someone hinted at underlying motives, and he clearly preferred to keep them concealed from others.
Equally shocked were Scott and Steven.
"Bro, she looks a lot like Aunt." Even Scott thought her eyes resembled their aunt's,who had mostly seen photos of their aunt. She was truly stunning and unforgettable, especially those eyes.
Steven stared intently at Grace on the runway. "Indeed, very similar."
He had seen those eyes before.
Last time, Steven was in a restaurant when a woman accidentally bumped into him. He thought her eyes looked a lot like his aunt's.
After some investigation, he found out that the woman was Grace Lewis from Skigeth.
Steven had briefly looked into Grace's background and concluded she wasn't their aunt's daughter, so he didn't pursue it further.
Daniel's eyes were glued to Grace on the runway, almost drooling.
'She is incredibly beautiful. Who is she?' Daniel thought, eager to get everything about her immediately. He quickly ordered someone to investigate.
Seeing Daniel's unwavering gaze on Grace, Madison felt a twinge of jealousy. She quickly clung to Daniel, wrapping her arms around his. "Why are you staring at other women and not at me? Do you think they're prettier than me?"
Daniel replied dismissively, "No, of course, you're the most beautiful."
Grace soon reached the center of the runway, her gaze initially fixed ahead. It was almost time to turn back.
However, as she retracted her gaze, she suddenly saw Xavier in the central seat, nearly stumbling.
Fortunately, she reacted quickly, pausing only briefly before starting to walk back.
But inside, Grace was too shocked to speak, her beautiful eyes filled with astonishment.
How could this be? Did she seewrongly? How could Xavier be here?
