Chapter 633 Dorian Remembers

In the middle of the night, Grace steered the yacht back to the dock and then wandered alone through the streets.

She passed by many places she had once walked with Xavier.

Eventually, she found herself at the center of Skigeth, where a new park was under construction. She sat down and gazed at the sky.

The stars twinkled above, and she wondered if her grandfather was watching over her.

She missed Xavier and Chase.

But she reassured herself that she would be okay.

The next day, Grace visited Flowers Manor. It was like a fairy tale, with blooming flowers everywhere, just as its name suggested.

There was a vast rose garden in full bloom, with large roses creating a sea of flowers. Among the roses, small blue irises dotted the landscape.

It was breathtakingly beautiful and dreamlike.

Xavier had designed it all, and Grace had no idea.

At the entrance, someone was waiting for Grace. "Ms. Lewis, right? Please follow me."

The staff led Grace inside and introduced her to everything. Every detail was filled with meaning, all the beauty Xavier had intended to give to Grace.

Today was supposed to be their wedding day, where they would walk down the aisle together and receive everyone's blessings.

But now, it was just Grace.

She couldn't hold back her emotions any longer. Despite biting her lip hard enough almost to draw blood, her eyes welled up with tears.

The wedding dress was ready and designed by Angela. Grace had tried it on with Xavier by her side.

Now, the groom's suit remained unworn.

Xavier had bought the manor. Who said men couldn't be romantic? It just depended on their effort.

These tokens of love were indelible.

Grace spent the day in her wedding dress, waiting for Xavier.

No one came. She was alone.

The pain was buried deep inside, and only Grace could slowly process it.

People say time heals all wounds, but Grace didn't believe it.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her and turned around sharply.

"Mr. Astor?" Grace was shocked to see Dorian there.

"What are you doing here?"

Wasn't he supposed to be back in Aetheria?

"Grace." Dorian's eyes were filled with astonishment. Seeing Grace like this, he clutched his head.

It hurt, like images were flashing through his mind.

Grace's face in the wedding dress overlapped with the images in his head.

It seemed like someone had once worn a wedding dress for him too.

Dorian's head throbbed again, and Grace, frightened, rushed over. "Mr. Astor!"

Dorian stared at her, and the figure in his mind grew closer, finally breaking through the barrier and standing before him.

It felt like a flood of memories surged into his mind, and Dorian passed out.

"Mr. Astor!" Grace quickly called for an ambulance and had Dorian taken to the hospital.

...

At the hospital, the doctor said Dorian was fine, just severely shocked.

Grace stayed by Dorian's side until he woke up the next day.

Dorian had slept for a long time, dreaming of many things.

He had been groomed as the future king of Aetheria, with a strict regimen and immense pressure.

His life had been monotonous and stressful, filled with endless learning about ruling a country.

During a particularly low point, he anonymously posted some existential musings online.

A girl saw his posts and went to great lengths to find him, to tell him to live well.

She was different, living life on her terms.

The girl told him that life was short and should be lived to the fullest.

If he didn't like his current life, he should try to rebel or see the world from a different perspective.

Dorian, isolated from ordinary people, was suspicious of her intentions.

She was Elizabeth.

Elizabeth openly acknowledged knowing his identity and often sneaked into the palace, claiming she wanted to challenge its security. She said if she wanted to assassinate someone, she could.

No matter how many guards Dorian assigned, Elizabeth always managed to get in.

She occasionally brought him food, but Dorian's diet was strictly regulated. Initially, he refused to eat, so Elizabeth ate alone.

Eventually, they grew closer.

Their relationship was brief but filled with countless stories.

Dorian was drawn to Elizabeth not just for her looks but for her personality.

He knew being with Elizabeth would be challenging due to his status.

He was willing to give up everything for her.

Elizabeth had once worn a wedding dress for him, much like Grace now.

That day, they were separated.

He never saw Elizabeth again.

Perhaps seeing Grace in a wedding dress had awakened Dorian's deepest memories. He had been searching for traces of Elizabeth, and now, those memories broke free, playing in his mind like a dream.

He realized he had forgotten so much.

He remembered the beautiful moments with Elizabeth.

In his dream, he saw her leaving, and when he woke up, the dream overlapped with reality.

"Mr. Astor, you're awake. I'll get the doctor."

Grace pressed the call button, and Dorian looked at her, remembering everything. He knew this wasn't Elizabeth; it was Grace.

Grace?

Dorian thought of something. Could she be his...
