Chapter 153 Arrogant Mistresses
Kelly dressed Ryan, and after they had freshened up, they left the house.
In the car, Kelly said, "Isn't it a bit early to go to the bridal shop now?"
Ryan glanced at his watch. It was nine o'clock, not early at all.
Ryan sneered coldly, "Grace is probably already waiting. We're not early."
"So early? Grace might not have gone yet," Kelly whispered.
"What did you say?" Ryan didn't hear clearly, only catching the name Grace.
"Nothing. I said Grace must be eagerly waiting for you," Kelly replied.
Ryan was satisfied. Grace must be impatiently waiting. He decided to keep her waiting a bit longer and be a bit more intimate with Kelly when they arrived to make Grace jealous.
Ryan slowly got out of the car deliberately, even letting Kelly hold his arm.
Kelly was naturally happy, holding Ryan's arm as they went to the bridal studio upstairs.
The place was reserved for the day. As soon as Ryan went up, someone greeted them. The staff hadn't seen Grace before, but after seeing Ryan and Kelly together, they quickly approached. "This must be Miss. Lewis. We've prepared several wedding dresses for you. Would you like to try them on?"
Hearing this, Ryan frowned and asked, "Grace hasn't arrived yet?"
The staff was puzzled. 'What did this mean? Isn't the woman with Ryan Grace? They are so intimate, holding arms and sticking close together. Is Ryan bringing his mistress to try on wedding dresses with his fiancée?'
The staff were wide-eyed, finding it unbelievable.
"Miss. Lewis hasn't arrived yet."
Now, it was Ryan's turn to be displeased. 'Since I was here, how could Grace not have arrived yet?'
He called Grace, but her phone was either busy or unanswered.
Grace must be driving, possibly stuck in traffic. She might arrive soon.
So he waited until ten o'clock, but Grace didn't show up. At eleven, Grace still hadn't come.
Not only did Ryan feel embarrassed, but the staff also felt the same.
Ryan's face darkened. He called Grace, and she answered, "I'm very busy. Don't bother me unless it's important!"
Ryan didn't even have time to speak before the call was cut off.
He was furious. Kelly quickly held his hand, suggesting, "Ryan, Grace might be too busy with work. My figure is quite similar to hers. How about I try on her wedding dresses? Would that be okay?"
"Don't mention her to me!" Ryan was irritated.
He had waited for Grace for so long, coming early in the morning, only for her not to show up.
"Ryan, don't be angry. Grace is just trying to get your attention. If you get angry, you'll be playing into her hands," Kelly said.
Ryan thought about it and felt Kelly made sense.
Maybe it was Grace's plan, deliberately trying to get his attention.
"Ryan, it doesn't matter if Grace didn't come. We shouldn't waste the trip. We can take some photos and send them to Grace. If she sees how well we match, she might regret not coming," Kelly comforted.
This convinced Ryan. He decided to take many photos and send them to Grace, making her regret not coming to try on the wedding dresses. He also wanted Grace to understand that even in her absence, he had Kelly to accompany him in trying on the dresses. There were plenty of women who wanted to marry him.
Ryan and Kelly tried on several dresses, though Ryan was a bit distracted. Kelly, however, was very happy.
The staff didn't know what to say. A mistress taking wedding photos with someone else's husband, wearing her dress, and looking so happy—were mistresses nowadays so shameless and arrogant?
Kelly posted the photos on social media, and Ryan deliberately sent them to Grace, determined not to let her feel at ease.
Grace did see them, but she didn't care at all.
No matter who Ryan tried on wedding dresses with or took wedding photos with, it didn't affect her.
When Grace didn't like someone, she only felt disgust. Nothing they did could affect her in the slightest.
Moreover, she thought Ryan and Kelly were quite a match.
Grace wasn't angry, but Angela was furious. She called Grace immediately after seeing the photos.
"Grace, whatever you do, do not check social media!"
Grace was silent, commenting inwardly, 'Anyone else would definitely check social media after hearing that.'
"You're too late. I've already seen it," Grace replied.
Since Grace had seen it, Angela didn't hold back and started cursing, "How desperate and shameless can Kelly be? Wearing someone else's wedding dress and looking so happy—she's really shameless to the core."
Angela had never liked Kelly, and now she cursed her even more freely, "She's even more shameless than Madison. She should change her name to another Madison. I'm so angry. I even sent Kelly a message to curse her out, but she didn't dare to reply. People like her should be despised by everyone. She and Ryan are a perfect pair of scumbags!"
"Alright, don't be angry. It's not worth it to get angry over such people, and it's not worth it to harm your health," Grace advised.
"Grace, how can you not be angry at all?"
"Why should I be angry? I don't like Ryan. It doesn't matter to me if he takes wedding photos with Kelly. In fact, I think it's good that Kelly is with him. Hopefully, she can keep him from harming others, "Grace said.
"Grace, your attitude is truly remarkable," Angela said, truly impressed.
"Otherwise, should I cling to him? Kelly posted those photos to make me angry. If I really got angry, I'd be playing into her hands, "Grace responded.
Angela took a deep breath. Grace was right; they couldn't let someone like Kelly be happy.
Ryan sent the wedding photos of him and Kelly to Grace, but she did not react, which was not what he had expected.
Grace should be regretting and angry now.
As Ryan stared at the photos, starting to doubt, he received a call from Patrick.
"Dad."
"Get back here immediately!"Patrick shouted.
Hearing Patrick's angry voice, Ryan hurried out.
When he returned to the Montgomery family, he was greeted with a beating. Patrick chased him with a stick. "You scoundrel! I told you to try on wedding dresses with Grace, and you took some low-class woman instead!"
Ryan said, "Grace didn't come. I waited for her a long time."
"You took another woman; of course, Grace wouldn't go to the bridal shop!"
Ryan suddenly understood. If Grace had brought another man to the bridal shop, he would have been furious, too.
Everything made sense now, and it was because of this that Grace didn't come. He felt happy again.
"Dad, you said I should marry Grace next month. What if she doesn't want to and runs away?" Ryan thought of this problem.
He realized that marrying Grace didn't seem so unacceptable.
A sinister look flashed in Patrick's eyes. "If Grace doesn't come, we'll dig up her mother's grave. Let's see if she comes then."
