Chapter 248 The Reproductive Organ Was Severed
Patrick and his buddies got kicked off the cruise ship and stood on the dock, helplessly watching it sail away.
Patrick wanted to plead again, but the Peterson family didn't give him a chance.
Jessica quickly left by car, and Patrick, ignoring Ryan, started making calls everywhere, trying to fix things. He wanted to set up a meal with Jared to apologize and smooth things over with the Peterson family.
Ryan had ticked off the Petersons, and if Jared held a grudge, it would be bad news.
Patrick spent over half an hour on the phone, but it was all for nothing.
Ryan, now calm, didn't dare say a word. Patrick's anger was terrifying.
After hanging up, Patrick looked defeated.
"Dad, how'd it go?" Ryan asked hesitantly.
Patrick glared at Ryan, feeling like he'd be driven to his grave by him one day.
"Dad, I was just mad. Grace was supposed to be my girl, but Xavier took her. I couldn't stand it. I know I messed up. I promise it won't happen again," Ryan said.
But Patrick didn't believe him anymore.
"Haven't I told you, Grace will eventually be your wife. She's just using Xavier to break off the engagement. Can't you see that? What kind of person is Xavier? At most, Grace will just end up in his bed. Do you think Xavier will marry her?" Patrick said.
"Dad, I get it," Ryan started to apologize again but then realized. "No, Dad, if Grace is with Xavier, what does that make me? Wouldn't she be betraying me?"
Patrick was utterly disappointed, shaking his head.
Once married, Grace would be part of the Montgomery family. Ryan could treat her however he wanted, and all past grievances could be settled.
Patrick was speechless.
The Montgomery family had only brought one car today. Patrick got in and told the driver to leave before Ryan could get in.
Ryan needed to think things through on his own. Otherwise, his impulsiveness would cost him dearly.
"Dad, I haven't gotten in yet, Dad!" Ryan shouted.
"I know I was wrong. I won't do it again. How about I go apologize to Mr. Peterson? As an elder, he won't make things difficult for me, right?"
"Dad!"
But no matter what Ryan said, Patrick didn't budge.
Ryan could only watch as Patrick's car drove away.
Night had fallen, and with the dock being rented out, even the roads leading there were cordoned off, allowing passage only for vehicles attending the banquet.
Even Ryan's family car couldn't get close without permission. Ryan called the driver, who had to wait outside the controlled area.
So, if Ryan wanted to leave, he had to walk out.
Shrouded in darkness, Ryan walked along the road, lost in thought. As he pondered, he reaffirmed that he wasn't at fault. Wasn't it Grace, that shameless woman, who was in the wrong?
And was that beautiful model really Grace? After Grace put on some makeup today, Ryan noticed they looked somewhat alike.
He had to get to the bottom of this!
Kelly, through James's informant, knew Ryan was attending a banquet today.
But Ryan showed up with someone else—a stunning socialite from Skigeth!
Kelly couldn't stand it anymore. If she waited, she might lose Ryan. She had everything riding on him, her entire future.
She picked up her phone and dialed a familiar number.
Ryan saw the unfamiliar number, frowned, and answered, "Hello? Who is this?"
"Ryan, it's me," Kelly's delicate voice came through.
Hearing her, Ryan got angry. "You still have the nerve to call me!"
If it weren't for Kelly, he wouldn't be in this mess. If she hadn't seduced him, he and Grace wouldn't be like this.
"Ryan, I miss you. Do you miss me?" Kelly tried to sound gentle.
The car accident she arranged last time, Ryan was lucky to escape with just minor injuries.
She considered this Ryan's final chance; otherwise, she wouldn't hesitate to act ruthlessly.
"I wish you were dead!" Ryan cursed. "Where are you? Come out! You caused all this trouble and then hid? Let me tell you, Kelly, I won't acknowledge you or that child!"
Kelly's nails dug into her flesh, her face twisted in unseen rage.
"Ryan, I'm pregnant with your child. You have to marry me," Kelly dropped the pretense, her voice no longer gentle.
"You're dreaming. It's a miracle I haven't killed you. How could I marry you? Do you even know your place? You disgust me, Kelly!"
Ryan was already in a foul mood, and Kelly's call was an outlet for his anger.
He had cursed Kelly before, but now he wanted to curse her even more. He blamed everything on her.
Kelly didn't expect Ryan to be like this. It was Ryan who couldn't control himself, yet he dared to blame her. Did he even know his own worth?
Ryan's penis was so minuscule that their lovemaking brought her no sensation at all. Nevertheless, she had to pretend to be joyous and moan loudly as if she were enveloped in ecstasy.
It wasn't until she was with James that she realized sex could be so pleasurable.
Her face twisted even more, her mind growing darker.
Kelly called James, "Are you there? Do it."
Ryan walked for two hours, finally reaching the main road.
His leg, injured in the car accident, was almost useless now. He didn't know where the driver's car was parked.
The area was desolate. As Ryan took out his phone to call the driver, two men suddenly jumped out of the bushes, covering his mouth and dragging him into the deeper brush.
Ryan's eyes widened, silently screaming, "Who are you? What do you want?"
But it was too dark to see anything.
The men wielded hammers and struck directly at his lower body.
The agony of his severed reproductive organ made Ryan wail.
