Chapter 556 What? Is this the Coleman family?

Zander eyed Scott, sensing an unusual seriousness in him. Was Scott genuinely serious, or was he trying to mess with him? Maybe Scott was scared of losing and was throwing out bold statements to intimidate him, hoping Zander would back down first. Could this be a psychological game between them?

Scott must be desperate not to lose. This store was a high-end clothing brand, and buying it meant acquiring the entire brand, not just the store. Even the Ross family might not have the resources for that. Zander suspected Scott and Angela were bluffing to save face.

"What's the matter? You scared?" Scott asked, his presence radiating intimidation.

Zander had figured it out. "Scared? Me? Nah, I'm thinking you might be the one chickening out."

He then shot a nasty look at Angela. "You should start getting ready. How about tonight?"

Angela felt disgusted. Edith was his wife, and he was openly trying to cheat on her right in front of everyone. It seemed Edith had no status in the Ross family at all. Angela held back her discomfort, knowing Zander would soon get what he deserved. She decided to endure for now.

Angela said, "You're talking too big. You should worry about whether your manhood will last until tonight."

Zander chuckled softly. "Your threats don't scare me. Let's bet!"

Angela couldn't believe someone was rushing to their downfall. She felt almost embarrassed not to take advantage of it.

"I recorded everything you said. This is evidence. If anyone backs out, don't blame the other party for being unkind."

Angela had been recording with her phone held to her chest, capturing their foolishness.

A nearby staff member approached and reminded them, "Sir, our store isn't for sale. Your bet might not be possible."

Zander replied, "Call your manager over. Let's get an estimate, and then this gentleman can pay the amount."

The staff member hesitated but eventually called the manager, explaining that there were some crazy people here.

The manager arrived quickly and, after hearing the situation, asked, "Are you serious?"

The manager's eyes were filled with disdain, thinking they were boasting. Did they know how much it would cost to buy this store? And it wasn't something that could be sold just like that.

Scott said, "Do I look like I'm joking?" He then took out his phone and made a call. "I want to buy a store. Handle it."

The manager offered, "I can't help with that. Should I call a doctor or the police? You seem to need help."

Scott handed over his card. "Forget about buying the store for now. Let's start by buying all the clothes in your store."

The manager looked at the card. Buying all the clothes would cost billions of dollars.

"Sir, you..."

Scott interrupted, "Swipe the card."

He didn't even blink at the amount. The manager's attitude towards Scott shifted dramatically. Men were indeed most attractive when spending money. Even as a man himself, the manager felt a twinge of admiration when Scott said to swipe the card.

"Alright." The manager quickly took the card and instructed the staff to calculate the total price of the clothes.

Just then, the manager received a call from the higher-ups. It was a top executive.

"What? Okay, understood!"

After hanging up, the manager seemed dazed and returned the card to Scott.

Zander was almost scared to death, thinking Scott could actually afford it. But now it seemed like Scott was pretending, and the card didn't have enough money, so it was returned.

Zander said, "Angela, you should start preparing to be my woman. I can't wait until tonight. How about the restroom now?"

Zander couldn't wait any longer; he wanted Angela right now!

However, the manager pushed Zander aside and approached Scott, bowing at a perfect ninety degrees. "Boss!"

What?

Zander and Edith were stunned!

Edith's mouth hung open in disbelief. How could Scott be the boss?

"Are you out of your mind?" Zander yelled at the manager.

The manager replied, "I just received a call from the higher-ups. This brand has been bought by Mr. Scott Coleman. I apologize for my earlier rudeness. All the clothes are now yours."

"What?" Zander couldn't believe it.

Scott had really bought the store?

Impossible. Absolutely impossible!

Zander looked at the manager. "Is there some mistake? Are you two in cahoots?"

The manager said, "Mr. Coleman bought it fair and square. You saw it yourself."

"I don't believe it. How could he afford it? He's just a poor guy!"

Zander refused to accept the reality that Scott had money, still thinking Scott was a pauper.

The manager almost laughed in anger. "Sir, do you not read the news or go online? You're calling the heir of the Coleman family a pauper? Do you even know the Coleman family? Maybe you should look it up."

Zander was confused. "The Coleman family? Which Coleman family?"

He knew of a Coleman family, but it was so far removed from Skigeth that it couldn't possibly be related.

Even though Zander was married to Edith, he didn't know Angela's husband's name. The Turner family looked down on Scott, calling him a pauper. How could he be from that Coleman family?

Impossible. Absolutely impossible!

The manager said, "How many Coleman families are there? This is Scott Coleman, heir to the Coleman family."

Seeing Zander's stunned expression, the manager took out his phone and showed him news about the Coleman family acquiring companies and being among the world's top twenty wealthiest families.

"Look closely. This is the Coleman family. Do you understand now?"

Zander was completely shocked, his legs almost giving out.

Scott wasn't just an ordinary person. He was from the Coleman family?

Zander knew the Coleman family was powerful in Aetheria, possibly the richest in the region. And Scott was part of that family?

What kind of family was the Ross family to look down on Scott?
