Chapter 025 His Physique Is Impressive

Xavier still wore his custom-tailored suit that fit him impeccably today. With a firm and commanding demeanor, an aura of icy aloofness emanated from him, and those piercing eyes seemed as if they could see through everything, sending shivers down spines' of anyone looking.

Xavier's entrance commanded attention, drawing all eyes towards him. His commanding presence, a blend of regal aura and seasoned maturity forged through life's challenges, held the women in rapt fascination, rendering them unable to avert their gaze.

Amidst the continuous whispers and excited shrieks…

Grace's attention was also drawn to Xavier. Since their intense encounter at the hotel, she hadn't seen him for days. Just the sight of him made her weak at the knees, and she couldn't forget their wild night, the marks of which still hadn't faded from her body.

Xavier, whether clothed or unclothed, exuded a primal allure, a blend of raw sensuality and refined demeanor!

After exchanging pleasantries with the Turner family, Xavier strolled into the room, his demeanor aloof as he casually surveyed the surroundings. Grace, feeling his gaze, quickly averted her eyes.

"Grace, look at all the women flocking around him. Do you see that one over there, the most sought-after socialite from Skigeth, Jessica Cole? Plenty of men have been captivated by her, but she rarely acknowledges them. And now, she's walking up to him," Angela said, her voice thick with excitement and curiosity.

Grace lifted her eyes and observed the group of women surrounding Xavier, with Jessica approaching him with a glass of wine in hand in hand.

Blushing slightly, she ventured, "May I offer you a drink?"

Grace was familiar with Jessica's reputation; she hardly gave anyone the time of day, not even Ryan—her aloofness was legendary. It was rumored that her family had considerable influence in Betaqule.

"Grace, do you think he'll accept the drink?" Angela asked, unaware of the man's identity.

"He won't," Grace stated, simply.

"How can you be so sure?" Angela was puzzled. Did Grace know this man?

Angela continued, "Jessica is stunning, isn’t she? She's been hailed the most beautiful woman in Skigeth, but I think you're beauty surpasses hers. Those people just don't know what you really look like, or they wouldn't even think Jessica looked better."

Grace didn't care much for Angela's compliments. Instead, her gaze was fixed on Xavier, like most people in the room.

Suddenly Xavier turned his head and locked eyes with Grace, causing Angela to get excited. She failed to notice the panic on Grace's face.

Her heart skipped a beat, but thankfully Xavier quickly looked away. Just that look from Xavier nearly frightened her to death!

However, Xavier didn't even glance at the woman in front of him or take the drink from her hand; he walked straight into the banquet hall.

Jessica was embarrassed; this was the first time she'd been utterly rejected. Back in Skigeth, no one would ever refuse Jessica.

People nearby whispered, "This is the first time I've seen Jessica so embarrassed."

"She's always so haughty, thinking every man likes her. She really put herself out there this time, and it's so humiliating."

Jessica, mortified and hearing the whispers, nearly dropped her drink. But then a hand reached out to steady her glass. When she looked up at Ryan, who had caught her cup, she didn't even say thank you before walking away.

Being ignored by a beautiful woman left Ryan feeling slightly uncomfortable.

Everyone knew Jessica was nothing but a proud peacock, bending to Xavier but not sparing a second glance for anyone else.

The attention of the women in the room was solely focused on Xavier, as if his presence alone transformed the surroundings into the center of the universe.

How did he not measure up to Xavier? Ryan wondered as his competitive nature made himself feel a deep sense of frustration.

It wasn't a grand party. Ryan went on behalf of Patrick to show to the Turner family some respect, even though Patrick did not see it was necessary for him to go personally. Yet here was Xavier, stealing the spotlight.

Ryan's face flashed a hint of displeasure when he saw Jessica offeriing a drink. Kelly, standing beside him, felt quite uncomfortable at the sight of Ryan interacting with Jessica.

"Ryan," she said, approaching and sliding her arm through his, "can we take a walk over there? Please?"

Kelly was aware that Ryan was a womanizer, but she knew her beauty and compliance had kept him interested, for now. She also knew if he grew tired of her, her chances of marrying into wealth would vanish. That's why she intended to secure another trump card which was to become pregnant with Ryan's child.

She had noticed Xavier, too, and knew he was leagues above Ryan in many ways. However, Kelly was realistic; a man like Xavier, who didn't even spare Jessica a glance, would never consider someone like her. She knew she couldn't attain that level, so she dismissed any such notions.

"Yeah," Ryan agreed with a nod.

Not far away, Angela, having witnessed this scene, turned to Grace and said, "See that, Grace? Your fiancé seems to have his mind on another woman. I bet it won't be long before he dumps Kelly!"

"He is not my fiancé," Grace replied flatly.

"Grace, what are your thoughts on the man we saw earlier? I find him far more appealing than Ryan. Just look at his physique—his legs, his waist. I can only imagine how impressive his overall physique must be," Angela asked, giddily.

"His body's top-notch," Grace answered, nonchalantly.

"How do you know?" asked Angela, surprised.

Grace smirked, cheekily saying "I touched it."

"What?" Angela gasped in disbelief.

"Just kidding. But you can tell he must have a great physique just by looking at him," Grace said, passing it off as a joke.

Angela was puzzled but didn't question further.

"Why don't you go charm him and make Ryan jealous?" Angela suggested mischievously.

Grace rolled her eyes, a bit speechless. "How would you define 'charming' him?"

"You've got to sleep with him first!" declared Angela.

They were adults, after all, living in a world where intercourse often mattered more than love, especially in circles of wealth where love was a luxury, and marriages were more like business alliances.

"Ryan's slept with so many women, even if you slept with just one wouldn't be excessive. Or are you planning to stay pure for his sake?" Angela teased.

Grace was momentarily at a loss for words. Of course, she couldn't tell Angela that they had already been intimate, not just once, but twice.

"Let's drop it. The banquet's about to start," said Grace, eager to change the subject.

Angela wasn't all that interested in the banquet itself. She took Grace by the arm and led her toward the crowd.

"Grace, let's get something to eat. You're too beautiful to hide in this corner. Everyone should see how gorgeous you are," Angela encouraged.
