Chapter 593 Buy Myself for Ten Billion Dollars and Give Myself to You

Grace and her friends made their way back to Skigeth, where the weather was just perfect—clear blue skies and fluffy white clouds.

Xavier had been working fast, and the park construction was already underway.

Grace didn't head home right away; she stopped by her grandfather Chase's place first. He had missed them a lot.

"My precious granddaughter, let me see if you've lost any weight."

"No, Grandpa. How have you been? Are you feeling okay?"

"I'm doing just fine. It's so good to have you back. I've had meals prepared for us. Let's eat together as a family. Angela, Xavier, you join us too, and..."

As Chase spoke, he noticed someone extra standing behind them.

Wasn't that Dorian?

"Mr. Chase Coleman," Dorian greeted respectfully.

Chase, being a significant figure in Aetheria, recognized Dorian right away.

He asked, "What brings you here?"

Chase didn't know about Dorian and Elizabeth's situation. They hadn't told him yet, worried it might upset him and affect his health.

Grace explained, "Mr. Astor is a guest. He's working nearby, and we invited him to Skigeth."

"Great, we have plenty of food. Let's all eat together," Chase invited everyone to sit down.

"It's been so long since our family had a meal together. It would be wonderful if Bella and Thomas were here too," Chase sighed.

Bella lived in Aetheria, and Thomas was still working there. If they were here, the family would truly be reunited.

"One day, we'll all be together," Grace believed on that day.

"Come on, dig in. Grace, you should eat more. Angela, you too."

Chase served food to Grace and Angela, treating both girls equally.

They thanked Chase.

During the meal, the family atmosphere was warm and filled with laughter.

Dorian watched the family, feeling a sense of warmth.

If Elizabeth were still here, he couldn't imagine how happy this family would be.

Having been in his position for so long, he rarely had meals with others, often busy with social engagements. Sometimes, he was so busy he barely ate, and he seldom went home, avoiding it. Even with Jane, they didn't see each other daily.

This family meal felt truly homely.

Everyone's faces were filled with happiness, but Dorian's face showed suppressed sadness.

His head began to ache again, wondering if each headache was a punishment from God.

At that moment, a piece of meat was placed in his bowl by a delicate hand.

It was Grace.

"Mr. Astor, try this. It's a specialty from Vesperia. My mom loved it."

Hearing that Elizabeth liked it, Dorian picked it up and ate it.

These were Vesperia dishes, different from Aetheria's cuisine. Dorian rarely ate them, but they felt familiar, as if he had eaten them somewhere before.

Dorian nodded, "It's delicious."

"Then have more. These are all very good."

Chase added, "Yes, Dorian, as our guest, you should try Vesperia's delicacies."

Steven and Scott weren't exactly fans of Dorian. They couldn't shake the feeling that if it weren't for the mess between Dorian and Elizabeth, Jane might not have teamed up with Jared, and Elizabeth might still be alive.

But Chase was in the dark about all this, so he treated Dorian with the same politeness he showed everyone.

"Thank you," Dorian said, appreciating the gesture.

After the meal, they all gathered for afternoon tea.

Angela had to head to work, and Dorian mentioned he wanted to take a walk.

He asked Grace about the places her mother used to visit, including her mother's old grave and the Lewis Villa.

Nearly twenty years had passed, and these places no longer held any traces of her mother.

Her mother had left very few things behind. Grace had a few keepsakes, but most were gone.

Even the Lewis Villa, where her mother had lived for a few years, had been cleaned out countless times, leaving nothing behind.

Though her mother had lived there for a few years, Taylor and her daughter had lived there for nearly twenty years. Grace rarely stayed there, and she didn't want the house anymore.

Dorian made a mental note of these places, wanting to walk in Elizabeth's footsteps and see the sights she once saw.

In the evening, Grace and Xavier strolled back slowly under the setting sun.

Grace turned to him, "I want to take you somewhere!"

Xavier nodded, "Sure, lead the way."

Seeing Xavier agree so readily, Grace teased, "Aren't you worried I might sell you off?"

"What price would Ms. Lewis sell me for?" Xavier played along.

Grace thought for a moment, "A million dollars?"

"I'll pay a billion dollars to buy myself and gift me to Ms. Lewis. How about that?"

"You can't buy yourself."

Xavier's lips curved into a smile, "Do you want me?"

"Yes!" Grace answered quickly. Such a great deal, why not take it?

"Then it's settled. You belong to me now. You sold yourself to me. If I want you by my side, you must stay. If I forbid you from disappearing, you can't disappear. Understand, Mr. Montgomery?"

"Understood, my Ms. Lewis."

Grace's ears turned red at his words.

She directed Xavier to drive to Skigeth University.

This was Grace's alma mater, where she had attended college.

The campus was buzzing with youthful energy. Though Grace had graduated, her high ponytail and casual T-shirt made her look like a college freshman.

Walking with Xavier in his suit, people might think a wealthy man was pampering her.

Grace and Xavier's striking appearance attracted many glances.

"Is she the campus beauty of Skigeth University? I've never seen her before."

"She's so pretty. Is she in the performing arts? If she enters showbiz, she'll be a star."

Grace's looks drew attention, with some trying to sneak photos and even some guys wanting her contact info, but Xavier's intimidating presence scared them off.

Xavier's hand rested protectively on Grace's waist, ready to shield her from any unexpected situations.

This gesture had become second nature to him.
