Chapter 196 Last Night's Service Was Excellent

The next morning, Grace woke up feeling like she was floating on a cloud, dizzy and light-headed. Her body was sore and weak, more exhausted than if she had just run a marathon. Her mind was awake, but her limbs felt heavy, and she had no desire to move at all.moving seemed impossible.

She caught a faint scent in the blanket—Xavier must have just gotten up, as the spot next to her was still warm.

Grace didn't want to move, but she had to. Clothes were neatly laid out for her. Mustering her willpower, she grabbed them and headed to the bathroom.

The bathroom looked normal, but Grace could hardly face it. Thinking about last night's craziness made her legs tremble.

Everywhere had traces of her and Xavier's intimacy. He had marked every part of her like a primal beast.

Every time she had sex with Xavier, Grace always felt lucky to be alive. During the act, it felt like she might not make it through.

If anyone said Xavier wasn't good in bed, Grace would be the first to disagree.

After changing clothes, Grace quickly freshened up. She felt a twinge in her ears and saw in the mirror that her earlobes were bright red.

The tassel earrings were still on her ears. She remembered Xavier loved kissing and biting her neck and ears after she put them on last night.

Grace touched her reddened earlobes, thought for a moment, and decided to keep the earrings on.

Feeling overwhelmed, she splashed her face with cool water and stepped out of the bathroom.

When she woke up, Xavier wasn't there, but now he was sitting on the bed, dressed in a suit, flipping through a book. Seeing Grace, he put the magazine aside.

"Ms. Lewis, last night's service was worth every penny of the ten million dollars," Xavier said, looking pleased.

Grace thought she might have been at a loss. She hadn't returned the earrings, and he had taken advantage of her again.

She walked over and said hoarsely, "I didn't know I was so valuable. If I ever go bankrupt, can I come to you for a comeback?"

Xavier's eyes narrowed. "You can try, see if anyone else is as foolishly rich."

Grace fell silent. Spending ten million dollars for a night with her, he was indeed foolishly rich.

Seeing Grace still wearing the earrings, Xavier's lips curled up. "I hope you wear these whenever you see me."

Realizing she couldn't return the earrings, Grace shrugged it off with a playful sigh. She had grown fond of them.

She knew Xavier wouldn't accept money if she offered it, so she planned to find a chance to return the favor with an equivalent gift.

"My throat, why..." Grace touched her neck, her voice raspy.

Xavier leaned in close to her ear. "If you had been quieter last night, this wouldn't have happened."

Grace's face turned red. She didn't think she had been that loud last night!

After a hearty breakfast at Xavier's, Grace decided to skip the studio and rest at home.

Angela called to ask if she had returned the earrings. Lying in bed, Grace said, "No."

But she had taken them off, planning to wear them again if she got the chance.

"What's wrong with your voice? Do you have a cold?" Angela noticed something was off.

Grace vaguely replied, "Maybe."

She couldn't tell Angela her voice was hoarse from last night's screaming.

Angela quickly hung up, and Grace planned to sleep more, but soon heard a knock on the door.

Just as she was about to get up, the door opened, and Angela came in with breakfast.

Seeing Grace at the bedroom door, Angela asked, "Did you check your temperature? Do you have a fever?"

Grace didn't expect Angela to come and felt a warm rush in her chest.

Angela had come immediately just because she thought Grace had a cold. Having such a good friend was rare.

"Angela, give me a hug!" Grace said.

After putting down the food, Angela walked over and hugged Grace. "Alright, I brought you breakfast. Have you eaten?"

"Yes," Grace said, feeling a bit embarrassed after having breakfast at Xavier's place.

Angela touched Grace's forehead. "You don't have a fever."

"You look so tired. Did you not get enough sleep well last night?" Angela observed Grace's face and then noticed her ears. "And why are your ears so red? Your earlobes look like they're about to bleed. Did a mosquito bite you or something?"

Grace instinctively touched her earlobes, feeling a bit guilty. "Really?"

Angela nodded. "Yes, look in the mirror."

Grace had already seen it in the mirror. "Maybe I got bitten."

But it wasn't a mosquito; it was Xavier.

She couldn't help but think about last night, and her cheeks burned.

"Why is your face so red all of a sudden? You look so guilty. Did something happen?" Angela asked casually.

"No, nothing." Grace replied casually.

Angela grew more suspicious. "Something definitely happened. I know you. Spill it."

Grace went back to her room, lay down on the bed, and wrapped herself in the blanket. "There's nothing to say."

Angela joined her on the bed. "Something's up. Tell me honestly, where were you last night? Was it at Xavier's?"

Grace remained silent, pondering, 'Could Angela not be clever at times?'

Seeing Grace bury herself in the blanket, Angela was surprised. "So I was right? Did you and Xavier do something? Did you sleep together?"

Angela got more excited, trying to pull Grace out of the blanket.

"Grace, so your cold is because you two were too intense last night, and you couldn't handle it?"

Grace's head popped out, her face even redder from being in the blanket. Her eyes were clear and beautiful. "I don't have a cold," she whispered.

Angela didn't care, feeling like she had discovered some big news, more excited than Grace.

She fired off a rapid succession of questions. "So you really slept with Xavier? When did it happen? Was it your first time? Who initiated it? How was Xavier's technique? Is he as big and strong as in the novels?"

"How was his technique? Was it good? Did it last long? Did you have a good time? Was it his first time or is he experienced? Is he a playboy messing around with innocent girls like you?"

"Grace, tell me honestly, did you sleep with Xavier to get back at Ryan?"
