Chapter 536 Several Top Tycoons Gather Together
Grace said, "I cut this myself, thank you for your concern, Mr. Wallace, but please don't meddle."
Grace knew Sterling's temper; his appearance probably meant trouble.
"You can't still be defending Xavier, can you? It's been so long, haven't you seen through him yet?" In Sterling's eyes, Xavier was no good and incompetent, definitely not as good as him.
Grace said, "My injury has nothing to do with him this time. It's just my carelessness and the enemy being too strong. I've said before, he has his matters to attend to and can't always be by my side. Even you can't always be by someone's side, right?"
"You haven't even tried, how do you know I can't?"
"What?" Grace didn't know how to respond to that.
Sterling's words were probably just casual talk. He was such an outstanding elite; how could he possibly settle for any woman?
"If I really liked someone, I would definitely protect her safety," Sterling said.
Grace said, "Many accidents are happening in the world every day, most of which are beyond human control. Even you can't always be by someone's side. For example, tripping and falling, a flowerpot falling from above, or a car accident. These are all unpredictable."
"But this wasn't an accident; it was intentional. If Xavier can't even prevent this, how can he claim to protect you?"
Grace poured Sterling a glass of water. "Mr. Wallace, calm down."
She didn't understand why Sterling was so angry. This matter shouldn't have much to do with him.
And Sterling had come from so far away.
"Why keep a man like that around? You should dump him and be with me." Sterling downed the glass of water in one gulp.
Just then, the door to the hospital room opened, and Xavier walked in.
"Mr. Wallace, you're still the same, always trying to break up a couple. But some things just aren't yours, no matter how hard you try."
Grace remained silent.
With two top dogs in the room, Grace felt immense pressure.
She hadn't expected Xavier to return at this moment and run into Sterling.
Xavier and Sterling were archenemies, always at odds, and now they looked like rivals in love.
"Am I not telling the truth? How many times has she been in danger with you?"
Sterling complained, "Don't think a few romantic fireworks are enough. If she likes them, I can do that too. I can buy all the fireworks in the world for her. I'm not short on money."
Grace remained silent.
She thought Sterling was just here to stir up trouble.
Xavier said, "I admit I didn't do well this time, but Mr. Wallace, there's no need for your sarcastic remarks. You wouldn't necessarily do better."
"How do you know I wouldn't do better? Why don't you step aside and let me try?" Sterling wouldn't miss any chance to break up a couple.
Why should Xavier have all the advantages in the world and not cherish Grace?
"That's impossible!"
"How do you know it's impossible? I just haven't spent much time with her. From today, I'll be in Skigeth too. Maybe once she sees my good side, you won't stand a chance." Sterling thought that if he really got serious, the outcome was uncertain.
Grace thought she should step aside and let these two frenemies be together.
She didn't believe Sterling had any real feelings for her. Either he was too bored, or he was used to competing with Xavier and wanted to take everything Xavier had.
Just like before, he probably saw her as a project.
"Stop arguing, you two," Grace interrupted, looking at Sterling. "Mr. Wallace, I don't want you wasting your time on me. Go do what you need to do, and Xavier will do what he needs to do."
"I know what I'm doing," Sterling said.
Xavier added, "Sterling, she's made it clear. Can't you understand?"
Just then, the door was knocked again, and Steven appeared at the door.
"Grace."
"Steven! You came too?"
Grace hadn't expected such a big scene. Sterling had come from far away, but Steven had come from even farther, probably from Aetheria.
She really was fine and didn't need so many big shots around her.
"Don't you know she needs rest? Everyone out!"
Steven's words carried a lot of weight.
Xavier also wanted Grace to rest, so he was willing to leave. Sterling thought for a moment and followed him out.
Grace couldn't sleep. She said, "Steven, I think I'm fine now. Why don't we go home?"
Scott also said, "The doctor said you need to be observed."
After all, Grace was pregnant, and the baby was already a few months old, unlike Angela, who could move around freely.

The men went outside, and now four handsome men stood at the door. Not far from the hospital room, someone was secretly taking pictures with their phone.

Although the four men stood together, no one spoke first. They didn't get along well.
Xavier spoke first, "The cause of Daniel's death is still unclear. It might not be Grace who killed him. The body is being examined."
Although the Gunter family didn't want an autopsy, Xavier had his ways, so the family had to agree.
The results would probably come out soon. If someone else had framed Grace, that person was in big trouble.
Steven hadn't confronted Xavier yet. Xavier had pursued Grace relentlessly, but once he got her, he couldn't even ensure her basic safety.
But it wasn't entirely Xavier's fault. Scott was also there and didn't foresee this.
"If the results are unfavorable to Grace, it could have a significant impact on her," Steven worried.
Daniel's death wasn't important; Grace wouldn't be held responsible. But if Grace had killed Daniel, she might pretend to be fine but be deeply affected inside.
Just then, Xavier's phone rang. It was a call from the forensic department.
"Mr. Montgomery, the forensic results are in."
