Chapter 339 Changing the Stakes
In fact, Amara originally wanted to bully Grace, but ended up getting a harsh lesson from Grace.
"Does Amara do it on purpose? She let Grace win on purpose!" A wave of unease washed over everyone.
"What a loser!" Stephanie scoffed, convinced Amara had gone easy on Grace. She snapped her fingers. "Get over here."
At this moment, an ugly and overweight man walked over, and Stephanie said, "Amara, a bet's a bet. You have to French kiss him."
Amara looked at Stephanie in disbelief. With so many handsome men around, Stephanie actually made her kiss such an ugly man.
Wasn't Stephanie supposed to be on her side? Besides, she was just trying to help Stephanie teach Grace a lesson, and that's how she ended up in this mess.
"Can I choose someone else?" Amara's family was relatively average among these people, and she usually flattered Stephanie and spoke up for her.
If Stephanie was happy this time and could give their family a project, Amara might be able to help her father, and maybe he would pay more attention to her.
"What do you think?" Stephanie's eyes already reflected her displeasure.
Amara knew it was impossible.
So Amara had no choice but to hook her arms around the man's neck and kiss him directly. The man was overjoyed and started kissing Amara, not caring that there were so many individuals around.
It was a French kiss, and the scene was quite marvelous. Grace even took out her phone and recorded a video.
Threatening people might be shameless, but it was effective. Who knew when this video might come in handy.
Halfway through the kiss, Amara almost suffocated. The man had terrible breath and seemed to smoke a lot, yet he dared to stick his tongue into her mouth.
A minute felt like an eternity. Colin and the others heard the commotion and came over to join the fun. After learning what had happened, Colin shared it with the others.
"Xavier, can you believe she made that bet? Amara's a pool shark! What if Grace loses?"
"She won't lose." This was Xavier's confidence in Grace.
Colin was puzzled, "How do you know? Is Grace a pool expert?"
Xavier thought for a moment: "She's better than a novice."
His confidence in Grace came from knowing that she wouldn't easily agree to something she wasn't sure about.
Also, Grace was very smart and learned things quickly. She just needed a little guidance, and she would understand and even infer other things from it.
"Amara's probably gonna go all out this time," Colin said.
Xavier's gaze drifted back to Grace, a silent message passing between them.
Feeling the unusual gaze from that side, Grace met Xavier's eyes and smiled at him, signaling him to rest assured.
A minute passed quickly, Amara's kiss with the man finally ended. She immediately leaned over and started retching.
The man didn't mind at all and was even infatuated: "So sweet, I hit the jackpot today!"
"If you don't want to play anymore, then I'll leave?" Grace looked at Amara.
"Continue!" Amara propped herself up, with her face full of anger.
She had underestimated Grace earlier and didn't take her seriously, which was why Grace won.
This time, she wouldn't be careless. She had to play well.
Grace nodded, ready to go all the way. "Still betting?"
"Why not? Are you scared?" Amara thought Grace was afraid. She had to get back the humiliation she just suffered.
Grace said, "I'm afraid you'll lose again and won't be able to handle it."
Everyone else was surprised. Grace was really bold.
Amara laughed as if she had heard a joke: "Are you kidding? Do you think I'll lose? I was just going easy on you earlier. From now on, I won't hold back."
Grace nodded, "Alright."
Amara said, "I have also proved earlier that the loser has to follow through. This time, whoever loses has to take off a piece of clothing."
She looked at Grace. Grace was only wearing one piece of clothing. If she lost, she would be left in just her underwear, which would be quite a scene here.
Grace raised an eyebrow. 'Does Amara even look at what she's wearing? She's in a dress.'
'Amara's only wearing one piece of clothing. If she lost, she would be left with nothing on.'
'Is she really that confident she would win?'
'It seems this round will indeed be challenging.' Grace thought.
With Grace's silence, Amara thought Grace was scared. "Grace, if you're afraid, just do what I did earlier, and I'll forgive you."
"Afraid? Me?" Grace retorted.
Colin, watching from the side, thought Grace was impressive. Her personality was so similar to Xavier's.
"Good, let's start," Amara said.
This round, Amara was extremely serious. To be safe, she broke the balls herself and didn't rush to pocket any. Instead, she used her balls to block Grace's, making it impossible for Grace to pocket any.
She wanted to showcase her skills and give Grace a hard time.
Those who knew how to play could see that Amara was deliberately toying with Grace. The balls were blocked tightly, making it very difficult to pocket any. Without some skill, it would be impossible.
Even those who knew how to play might not be able to pocket several balls at once.
Even Colin and Lucius were interested and came over to watch.
'Amara is being ruthless.'
'This is revenge for Grace winning earlier.' Colin and Lucius thought.
Everyone else was nervous for Grace, but Grace herself remained calm.
She first looked at the distance between the balls, then set up her cue.
Wait, what was Grace doing? This angle didn't look like she was aiming for that ball.
The next second, Grace struck, and the ball went into the pocket, completely different from what they had expected.
Next, every shot Grace took was unexpected, and she didn't miss a single one. Each shot pocketed a ball, even the difficult ones they hadn't thought of a way to hit.
And after Grace pocketed a few balls, even the ones Amara had blocked had new paths.
What made everyone gasp was that Grace didn't give Amara a chance. She pocketed all her balls in one go, leaving only the final black ball. If Grace pocketed it, she would win.
Everyone covered their mouths, with silence to watch aside.
Grace knew Amara was serious. She might not win this round, so her only chance was to take all the balls at the start and not give Amara an opportunity.
Amara didn't expect to lose. Her face turned pale, realizing Grace was truly skilled.
Amara looked at her dress. To look good and show off her figure, she wasn't wearing any underwear, just adhesive covers. If she took off her dress, the covers would fall off, and she would be exposed.
She bit her lip. She couldn't lose; she couldn't afford to lose!
As long as Grace made a mistake, she would still have a chance.
Amara's eyes flashed with malice. As Grace was about to hit the final black ball, with her cue ready, Amara, standing nearby, suddenly elbowed Grace's arm.
