Chapter 671 What is the Relationship Between Grace and Dorian
Marcus quickly dug up some info on Killer.
Hugh's gang's top enforcer, his name was infamous in those circles.
But finding details on Hugh's gang was tough; most of it had been wiped clean. Only the basics were available.
For instance, Killer had only surfaced in recent years, but every job he took on was executed flawlessly, earning Hugh's high regard.
There were no photos of him online; he always operated in the shadows, rarely seen by anyone.
Despite finding some information, nothing useful came up.
"Mom, why'd you suddenly decide to look up this guy?"
"It's nothing, I was just curious." Grace stared at the name, her brow furrowed.
Hugh's man, Killer, was too dangerous. How did Dorian know him? Could they be targeting Dorian?
It seemed she needed to see Dorian tomorrow.
When Angela returned, Grace and Marcus were still in the living room.
Angela said, "Grace, why didn't you wait for me? You just left on your own?"
She had planned to celebrate with Grace, but halfway through, Grace messaged her saying she had left.
"Aunt Angela, Mom didn't come back alone!"
"What do you mean?"
"Remember the guy I told you about? He brought Mom back!"
"Grace, what does this guy look like? I'm curious now. You ditched me for a man!"
"Don't listen to him. It's a long story, and I didn't come back with him."
Grace had returned on her own, but near home, an accident happened, and he had brought her back.
"You're hiding something from me!"
Grace said, "There's nothing to hide!"
"And Mom kissed him! I saw it. Mom, is he going to be my future dad?" Marcus asked, blinking his big eyes.
"What? Grace, you... We're best friends! You didn't even introduce him to me. At least let me vet him first!"
Grace remained silent.
"It was just an accident," Grace explained weakly. She didn't know why Killer had kissed her; it was so sudden.
Angela continued to probe, "Tell me, how far have you two gone? Did you get a room?"
Grace stayed silent.
Grace's face turned red from Angela's teasing. How did the conversation turn to getting a room?
"Angela, what are you talking about?"
"I'm not making things up. I want to know how far you've gone. What's his name, his background, is he handsome, how tall is he, and his physique? Does he have broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and eight-pack abs? Do you have a photo? Let me see!"
Angela was more excited than Grace. Suddenly, a light cough came from behind her.
Scott had returned and overheard Angela's words, his face darkening.
"What's there to see?" Scott said as he walked by, leaving a casual remark.
"Why not? You're just jealous because you don't have it." Angela retorted as usual.
"Who says I don't?" Scott said, lifting his shirt to show off his muscles.
Though Scott looked slim, he had a surprising layer of muscle.
"With those abs, Marcus might have more muscle than you."
Marcus stayed silent.
What did this have to do with him?
Scott grabbed Angela by the waist, lifting her up, "Seems you have a big misunderstanding about me. We need to talk alone. It's late, don't disturb Grace and Marcus."
With that, Scott carried Angela upstairs.
"Scott! Let me go! Who wants to talk to you? I'm not interested in your abs. Grace, Grace, help me! I haven't finished talking!"
Watching Angela being taken away, Grace smiled.
Soon, Grace took Marcus upstairs to rest, but she couldn't sleep, tossing and turning all night.
Model Iris's runway show yesterday was still the talk of the modeling world. She hadn't shown her face, yet many were captivated.
Iris hadn't signed with any agency, and no one knew the time or place of her next show.
Many tried to find out, but she remained a mystery.
The next day, Grace went to visit Dorian.
Dorian was still bedridden, recovering, and had refused visitors.
Grace's status was different; she came quietly.
"Grace." Dorian sat up when he saw her.
"Don't get up. Just lie down. I came to check on you and ask some questions."
"What questions?" Dorian chose to sit up.
He had been very ill recently, delegating much of his work.
"The person I asked about before, Killer, is he involved in matters concerning Aetheria?"
Grace got straight to the point.
Dorian's eyes showed surprise, "Grace, how do you know? Did he come to you?"
Dorian grew tense. If Killer sought Grace, intending harm, he would fight Hugh's gang to the end.
"No, I just found out his identity. I think his actions might harm Aetheria. Though I'm not from Aetheria, I know you carry a lot of burdens. I'm worried that if they don't achieve their goals, they'll target you."
Grace had no interest in Aetheria's politics; she was only concerned about Dorian.
They were blood relatives; he was her father. She couldn't help but worry.
Dorian said, "Grace, don't worry. I have it under control."
Though he said this, his face remained troubled.
This matter wasn't easy to handle.
Hugh's gang was pressing hard. He knew if he didn't agree, they would have a backup plan.
"Just protect yourself," Grace said.
Life was most important.
Grace didn't want to see her loved ones leave her one by one.
Grace's secret visit to Dorian wasn't publicized, but Killer, watching closely, knew about Grace's visit.
What was Grace's relationship with Dorian? Why did she visit him? During Dorian's recovery, he refused others but saw Grace. What was the secret between them?
