Chapter 514 Marry Edith to the Ross Family

Ainsley didn't say anything more, but her expression had changed.

Her freshly done nails dug into her palm. This Edith clearly had feelings for her son, Omari.

Ainsley did nothing all afternoon, just sat on the sofa until evening when the Ross family called.

"Have you decided on the solution?"

Edith was right next to her, wanting to hear what Ainsley's solution would be.

Angela really got off easy. She married someone casually, leaving behind all this trouble.

Ainsley said, "I've thought it over carefully. I think you have a point. We're destined to become one family. Before, it was because Edith was obedient and I couldn't bear to part with her. But now, I've thought it through. She'll leave me sooner or later, she'll get married sooner or later. The Ross family is so good, why not take this opportunity and let her marry into it?"

Echo was pleased, "Of course, that's great. Let's settle it then."

After all, she saw how filial Edith was, how well she treated her parents, how sweet her words were. If she married Zander, it would definitely be better than Angela.

If Angela came, it would definitely cause a lot of trouble.

"Alright, then the wedding will proceed as planned," Ainsley agreed.

Edith's face changed, "Mom! You want to marry me off to that Zander?"

Ainsley hung up the phone, "What's wrong with marrying you off? Weren't you the one who introduced him to Angela? I think Zander is pretty good. You'll definitely enjoy life if you marry him."

Edith's face turned pale, "I won't marry him, Mom. We agreed that I wouldn't marry anyone in this lifetime, that I would stay by your side and take care of you."

"I don't need you to take care of me. You're getting older too. The Ross family is indeed good. You should go and be a good stepmother."

Ainsley's mind was made up, and nothing would change it.

"Mom, you didn't agree before. Why do you suddenly want me to marry him? You have to give me a reason. Did Angela say something to you?" Edith thought Angela must have been stirring things up.

"She didn't say anything. This is how it is, no discussion!"

"I won't marry him. This is Angela's problem to solve. Why should I clean up her mess? She's done so many reckless things over the years, and you always forgive her. I've been so good to you, but what about you? Now something happens, and you push me out. Can your conscience handle that?"

Ainsley didn't expect the usually obedient Edith to say such things, "How has the Turner family treated you badly? Have you ever lacked food or clothing? I've always treated you like my own daughter."

Even better than her daughter.

"Do you really treat me like your own daughter? You want someone to flatter you. If I didn't say things you like to hear every day, would you treat me well? In your eyes, I'm nothing, right?"

Ainsley's eyes were filled with disappointment. She believed she had never treated Edith poorly, but it seemed Edith didn't see it that way.

Edith continued, "I know I've been living under someone else's roof all these years, so I've always tried to please you. You've never given me a kind look, never treated me like family. Honestly, I'm fed up. You have a bad temper, always scolding people, and now you want me to get married. That's absolutely impossible!"

"You..." Ainsley finally saw Edith's true colors. She didn't expect Edith to think this way.

"So all your respect for us was just an act?"

"What else? You have no idea how hard it is to pretend and how miserable my life is. You and Angela are the same, both self-centered and equally disgusting!"

"I'm disgusting? What about you? You like your brother. You're shameless!"

Edith was stunned. She didn't expect Ainsley to know about this.

Since she knew, it was fine. There was no need to pretend anymore.

"Yes, I like him. So what? I'm not your biological daughter. Is it wrong to like him?" Edith retorted.

"You..."

"I'm with him openly. You have no right to stop me. As long as Omari likes me and wants to marry me, that's enough. As for Zander, no way. If you force me, I'll marry Omari!"

Ainsley clutched her chest, "You're going to drive me to my grave!"

"You forced me!" Edith turned and left.

Ainsley gasped for air, "It hurts, it hurts. Someone, help!"

Angela heard about the Turner family's situation and immediately went to find Grace to share the news.

"Whoever told Ainsley about Edith liking Omari did a good deed. Ainsley got so angry that she ended up in the hospital. " Angela felt immense satisfaction. The Turner family deserved this.

Grace could imagine the scene, "But who told your mom about Edith liking Omari?"

Angela shook her head, "I'm not sure. I heard it was a woman who called. Not many people know about this. At first, I thought it was you."

Edith had always hidden it well. Only she and Grace knew. Outsiders shouldn't say.

"Grace, who do you think it could be? Who else would get involved in this?"

"How could it be me? But now that you mention it, I really don't know who it could be. Wait!"

Grace thought of something, "Last time we had dinner, didn't we run into Edith and Jessica? Do you remember? We mentioned it then. Jessica must have heard it. She even said she wanted to give me a gift to thank me. Could it be Jessica who made the call?"

"I'm not sure, but it's possible. Let's not think about it for now. The Turner family's situation makes me happy just thinking about it. Ainsley thought Edith was a good daughter. Let's see how Edith drives her to her grave."

Angela didn't feel sorry for Ainsley at all. She brought it on herself.

Pitiful people must have something hateful about them. It's good for her to wake up.

Although Angela thought this way, she still planned to visit Ainsley in the hospital when she had time.

Ainsley had faked illness before to trick her into going to the hospital for a blind date, but this time, she was really sick.

Angela wanted to be cold-hearted, but she couldn't just ignore everything.

Angela looked at Grace, "What about you? Is Mr. Peterson really your father?"

Grace said, "I don't know. I haven't had much contact with him."

But Grace knew Jared was always around, often following her.
