Chapter 240 Ryan Went Crazy
'How could it be Grace?' Ryan thought.
He couldn't believe it. Just from seeing her back, he had mistaken her for the model he had been dying to meet.
"This perfect figure can't be Grace, right?" Ryan muttered.
Grace usually wore loose clothes, so he never knew she had such a great figure. Her back really did look like the model's. If he hadn't seen her face, he would've thought she was the model.
Ryan stared at Grace's face. She looked the same, but now he found her incredibly attractive, especially her eyes.
Then it hit him. Grace's eyes looked just like the model's.
Last time at the hotel, when he blocked Xavier, the model was in high heels. He thought the model was taller than Grace because Xavier is tall, and they looked good together.
But now, looking at Grace, he realized she was about the same height as the model.
Ryan had a wild thought. Could Grace and the model be the same person? The idea shocked him. No way, that was impossible.
They had different faces. How could they be the same?
But Kelly had said someone saw Grace inside and she never came out. How did Xavier and the model end up leaving together?
Could Grace and Xavier be scheming together, even taking his shares of the Montgomery Group? Had Grace been hiding her true self all along?
That's why he couldn't find the model anywhere in Skigeth?
Ryan gripped his wine glass so hard it started to crack.
He had to find out if Grace and the model were the same. If Grace had been fooling him, he wouldn't let her get away with it.
Jessica also saw Grace. She had heard Xavier brought a date but never thought it would be Grace.
How did Grace get close to Xavier? Was Xavier really with his nephew's fiancée?
If Grace and Xavier were together, Grace would go from being Ryan's fiancée to his aunt-in-law.
Jessica glanced at Ryan, who was already walking over.
She glared at Grace with resentment. Grace had taken photos of her, almost driving her crazy.
Grace had ignored her pleas for help, making Jessica think Grace had bad intentions. Now it seemed Grace was after Xavier!
To Jessica, Grace was unattractive. As the top socialite and most beautiful woman in Skigeth, she couldn't believe anyone would prefer Grace over her.
"Xavier!" Ryan walked over, looking furious.
People saw Ryan coming and were confused. "Who is this?"
Xavier narrowed his eyes, not taking Ryan seriously. "My nephew."
"Xavier, care to explain this?" Ryan ignored everyone else, staring at Grace as he demanded answers.
"If you're drunk, go rest. Don't embarrass yourself," Xavier said, his tone a clear warning.
"I'm not drunk. Why are you two together?" Ryan shot back, not caring anymore.
What was going on between Grace and Xavier? Were they flaunting their relationship to humiliate him?
'Grace must be something else. How good is she in bed to get Xavier to bring her here?' Ryan thought, his anger rising.
Xavier's eyes turned cold. "Sorry everyone, I need to handle some family matters. Excuse us." He led Grace away.
Ryan followed quickly. "Xavier, feeling guilty? You two are scum. No wonder you wanted to break off the engagement. Grace, you..."
Before he could finish, a glass of wine hit his face.
Xavier's glass was empty, while Ryan was covered in wine, looking a mess.
"Ryan, seems the Montgomery family didn't teach you manners. Use this wine to wash your mouth. Keep talking nonsense, and I'll have someone cut out your tongue," Xavier said, his voice chilling. Ryan shivered at the threat in Xavier's eyes.
"Xavier, we're family. Are you protecting Grace to teach me a lesson?" Ryan retorted.
"We were never family," Xavier replied coldly.
He couldn't choose his birth, but he could choose who he considered family now.
"So you two are serious? You've been together behind my back?" Ryan pressed.
Xavier's eyes darkened, like a storm brewing. "Think twice before you speak," he warned.
Xavier's threat was real. Ryan knew it, and the vile words stuck in his throat.
He looked at Grace, his eyes red. He reached out to touch her face, not caring about the wine all over him.
"Is this face real? Do you have another appearance?" Ryan's expression twisted.
He tried to wipe off Grace's makeup, but Xavier grabbed his wrist before his hand could make contact.
Xavier's grip was strong, his diamond-studded watch glinting coldly.
Ryan tried to break free, but Xavier's grip was too strong. Pain shot through Ryan's wrist, making him think Xavier might crush it.
Xavier looked down at Ryan, his eyes cold and calm, in stark contrast to Ryan's madness.
The difference between them was clear.
Xavier had lost his patience, his voice resonating with a cold, menacing undertone that sent shivers down Ryan's spine. "Ryan, if you want to go crazy, do it somewhere else. Didn't Patrick tell you how important this banquet is? Don't blame me for not warning you if the Peterson family comes after you."
