Chapter 561 The Princess Arrives at Skigeth

Ainsley was taken aback and glared at Chase. "Is this how the Coleman family rolls?"

Chase, usually laid-back, stood his ground. "Got a problem with how we do things? Maybe you should think about how you've treated Angela. We owe her, but it's for her alone. Outsiders shouldn't expect anything. Scott did the right thing."

"And don't even think about messing with Angela. If you try to hurt her, you'll regret it."

With that, Chase called out to Kieran, "Show him out!"

Chase didn't know all the details, but he knew Scott had issues with the Turner family, and Angela rarely talked about her parents. There had to be a reason for that.

Ainsley wanted to argue more, but he was politely escorted out.

Who knew what lies that ungrateful Angela had fed the Coleman family to make them act this way. Damn Angela!

Meanwhile, Angela finished her work and noticed a huge sum of money had been deposited into her bank account.

She counted the zeros in shock—eight of them!

This was more than all her savings combined. Why did Scott transfer so much money to her?

Angela called Scott, and when he answered, neither of them spoke for a moment.

"You..." Angela finally broke the silence. "I just saw my bank account. Did you transfer money by mistake?"

"Nope."

"Then why did you send me $300 million? That's way too much."

Scott replied, "It's for you to spend."

He didn't mention that Ainsley had come to see them or that it was a wedding gift.

"Why are you giving me money? I have my own. I don't need it. I'll send it back."

Angela felt uneasy holding onto the money. She never intended to take anything from the Coleman family. She was happy with the little money she earned herself.

"No need," Scott said.

"No, I don't need your money. You should keep it."

Angela insisted on returning the money, but Scott said, "I don't want it either. If you send it back, I'll just transfer it to you again."

"Why?"

Scott said, "Just think of it as me having too much money and buying your happiness."

Angela's initial shock turned into genuine happiness at his words.

"Spending so much money to make me happy, don't you think it's a waste?"

"Not at all."

Angela stared at his response for a while, feeling a mix of emotions. Scott didn't think it was a waste to give her so much money?

Still, she decided to find a way to return the money to Scott later. Besides this sum, there was also the $50 million Scott had previously transferred, which she hadn't touched.

In a large gym, Jared was working out.

Someone nearby was reporting recent work updates. "Mr. Peterson, these are the recent money laundering figures from our hotels. Our underground casino's revenue is excellent, and our loan sharking has increased by ten percent compared to last month."

On the surface, Jared's businesses looked legit, but in reality, he was knee-deep in gambling, loan sharking, smuggling, and other shady activities. He'd been at it for years and had gotten pretty slick, making sure nothing could be traced back to him.

Jared kept working out, barely reacting to the report.

"Good, but the money laundering's a bit slow."

Since his funds were dirty, he had to clean them through his businesses to make them look legit.

"With the recent crackdown, we can't be too obvious. We gotta run things more above board to avoid getting caught."

"Got it," Jared said, waving his hand dismissively.

"Also, Mr. Peterson, someone has been watching us lately, but we can't figure out who they are."

Jared said, "If you can't ID them, they're not amateurs. As long as it's not Interpol, we can handle it. Keep an eye out and let me know if anything changes."

"Yes, sir."

"How are things in Aetheria?" Jared asked, shifting gears.

"Her Royal Highness Jane York's been restless. She wants to come to Vesperia. We've tried to dissuade her through her maid, but it's not working. She's determined."

"As for Your Majesty Dorian Astor, everything's normal. He's been in Sylvanor for international meetings and plans to visit Lumaria next. Lumaria's close to Vesperia, but it's not on his current itinerary."

Jared's expression darkened.

"Keep tabs on Jane York. If we can't change her mind, get ready to intercept her at the airport."

"Understood."

"That's all. You can go."

Jared's eyes gleamed with calculation and malice.

In Aetheria, Jane couldn't sleep well in the palace, feeling like something was about to go down. She was anxious and on edge.

With Dorian away, she checked with her informants, who reported that everything was normal.

But this only made Jane more uneasy, like a storm was brewing. She worried something might catch her off guard.

Her desire to visit Vesperia resurfaced. Despite her maid's warnings about Vesperia's safety, she still wanted to go.

The urge grew stronger over the past few days, so Jane decided to make arrangements.

She planned to travel discreetly and with extra protection.

"Your Highness, are you going to Oakworth in Vesperia?" Oakworth was Vesperia's most bustling city.

"Arrange a private jet for me to Skigeth." Jane had found out that Grace was in Skigeth.

According to her investigation, the Coleman family was also in Skigeth.

Jared's whereabouts were unknown, but he was likely in Vesperia too.

What was it about Vesperia that attracted so many people?
