Chapter 256 Omari Is About to Make a Move

Despite everything that had happened, Grace stuck to her routine, working even harder.

She didn't expect Omari to show up at her studio the next afternoon.

"Omari?" Grace was surprised and asked Lily to make some tea while she led him to the meeting room.

"What brings you here?" Grace asked. They weren't exactly friends, so his visit was unexpected.

With such a handsome guy around, everyone was whispering. "Grace is lucky to know so many good-looking guys."

Omari explained, "The Turner Group needs a batch of perfumes. I thought we could collaborate. Interested?"

Grace nodded. "Sure, tell me what you need and how much."

Omari smiled. "It's almost the end of the day. How about dinner tonight to discuss the details? If it goes well, we can sign the contract."

Grace felt uneasy about dinner with Omari. It wasn't dislike, but his gaze made her uncomfortable. Perhaps it was those charming eyes of his that made him seem overly affectionate.

"Sure, but doesn't your company have a procurement department? Why not give me their contact info, and I'll handle it directly?" Grace suggested.

Omari got the hint but wasn't upset.

"How about I bring the procurement person tonight? This batch is important, and I want to confirm some details myself," Omari said.

"Alright, I'll book a restaurant," Grace agreed.

"No need, I'll handle it. It's almost the end of the day. I'll wait for you to finish up, and we can go together," Omari offered.

Before Grace could respond, Omari added, "Your car's in the shop, right? You can ride with me."

"I might be busy for a while," Grace said.

"No problem, I'll wait," Omari replied.

"Since it's a collaboration, I'll bring Lily. She's my assistant and can help coordinate," Grace said.

Omari nodded. "Alright."

Grace went back to work, and Omari stayed in the meeting room. She asked Lily to entertain him.

Omari ordered a lot of afternoon tea for the studio employees.

He chatted with Lily, asking about Grace's work habits and the company's busyness.

Lily realized Omari liked Grace.

During their chat, Lily learned Omari was Angela's brother. She said, "Our boss works really hard. The studio's success is all thanks to her."

Omari agreed. "She's strong-willed and determined. If only she'd rely on others a bit, she wouldn't have to work so hard."

"Mr. Turner, do you like Grace? You seem to care a lot about her," Lily asked.

Omari wasn't surprised. He had never openly expressed his feelings for Grace, not even to Angela.

Last time, when Grace had a cold and Omari saw Xavier at her house, he regretted not confessing his feelings.

Omari felt like he had another shot. He realized that hesitation leads to failure. He'd known Grace for a long time, and her excellence always caught others' eyes. He worried she might be snatched away.

This time, he didn't want to miss out.

"Lily, could you pretend to have something urgent tonight and skip dinner? I'll treat you and your friends to dinner; just pick a place, and I'll cover it," Omari said.

"Thank you, Mr. Turner!" Lily quickly agreed.

Grace still had a lot of work but focused on the most important tasks.

At the end of the day, Grace shut down her computer and came out. "I'm done. Let's go."

Omari stood up. "Let's go."

Just then, Lily said, "Ms. Lewis, something urgent came up, so I can't make it. Why don't you go with Mr. Turner?"

Grace looked confused and glanced at the others. "What about you?"

An employee said, "Ms. Lewis, I have to work overtime. This needs to be done tonight."

Omari added, "If they can't make it, don't force them. Let's go; we can discuss it just the same."

Grace didn't understand why everyone suddenly changed their minds but had already agreed to dinner with Omari, so she couldn't back out now.

She nodded and left with Omari.

As they left, the office buzzed with chatter. "Who do you think Ms. Lewis is most compatible with? How about Mr. Turner?"

Someone shook their head. "I don't think so. I feel like Ms. Lewis doesn't like him. I prefer the cold, handsome guy who came last time. I've never seen someone so attractive. I'm totally rooting for our boss and him to be together!"

"Me too, that guy was really handsome. Although Mr. Turner is good-looking, I still prefer the other type. Gentlemen like Mr. Turner are always the second male lead in TV shows!"

"Who are you talking about? I missed seeing him that day. After hearing you say he's more handsome than a movie star, I'm really curious. How good-looking is he?"

"You missed out. That glimpse is unforgettable. He's exceptionally tall and has a commanding presence."

"Doesn't anyone ship the boss and her fiancé? I think her fiancé is good-looking too," someone said.

"Ryan? Forget it, he's not good enough for our boss."

"Watch your words. He's not Grace's fiancé anymore. Now he's just a lapdog, really annoying!"

The office was buzzing with discussions. Lily chatted with them for a while, then her phone rang. It was Mason.

Every time Lily saw Mason, she felt he was too cold, always businesslike and hard to get along with. But his work ability was incredible. His brain seemed like a computer, and Lily admired him greatly.

They didn't interact much, just exchanged contact info before. Now, his sudden call startled Lily.

"Hello, Mr. Clark," Lily answered.

"Hello." Mason's polite voice came through. "I'm looking for Ms. Lewis, but I can't reach her."

Since Grace decided not to transfer the shares, there were still some documents that needed her signature.

Lily said, "Sorry, Ms. Lewis went out to dinner with Mr. Turner. She might not have seen her phone."

"With whom?" A voice that didn't belong to Mason came through the phone.
