Chapter 657 That Gentleman Should Have Sexual Dysfunction
"Are you serious?" Grace still couldn't believe what she had done.
Wasn't it all just a dream?
"Yep, totally serious."
Grace covered her face. So last night wasn't a dream; she had mistaken that man for Xavier.
"The driver said you got drunk last night and refused to take the car home. You insisted that the gentleman carry you, and he did, for several hours before finally getting you home."
Grace remembered she didn't usually act out when drunk. Did she really take advantage of someone?
"And where is that gentleman now?"
"He left last night. Mommy, I think that gentleman might have some... issues."
"What do you mean, issues?"
Marcus said, "Mommy, you're so pretty, but that gentleman wasn't interested and even pushed you away. I think he must have some... issues."
"You don't know anything, kid!" Grace's face turned red. She had no idea where Marcus got these ideas.
If last night wasn't a dream and she really did throw herself at him and kiss him, she definitely felt the weight of his manhood. It was heavy, definitely not what Marcus was suggesting.
"Sex education should start young, and things are pretty open here in the States. I may be young, but I know a lot!" Marcus said, acting all grown-up.
Grace was silent.
"You know so much, then off to kindergarten with you."
"I don't want to go!"
Grace was silent.
She thought kids should spend less time surfing the internet.
But Marcus knowing a lot wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Grace warned, "I'm very serious about this. You are not allowed to mess with any young girls until you're at least twenty! I don't want to be a grandmother before I'm fifty."
"Mommy, you're thinking way too far ahead. I'm only five!"
"So what if you're five? You always say you're a grown-up."
"Don't worry, Mommy. I'm not interested in girls. They're just trouble!"
"Marcus! Girls are supposed to be cute. They don't mind you being a stinky boy."
But Grace did notice that Marcus didn't like interacting with girls. Maybe he took after his dad, hiding whenever he saw them.
Grace had hoped for a sweet, adorable daughter, but she got a son instead.
"Got it. So, my lovely Mommy, do you want some bread?" Marcus handed over a piece of bread he had spread with jam.
Grace opened her mouth and took a bite.
Sometimes, Grace wondered if Marcus was a gift from God or a gift left by Xavier.
With Marcus around, Grace felt her life was much richer.
When Marcus was born, he was so tiny. Grace's unstable emotions had affected his health, and he was very weak.
It took years of care to get Marcus to where he was now.
A five-year-old, already so big.
"Thank you, sweetheart." Grace ruffled Marcus's hair.
"Mommy, don't touch my head. I read online that it can stunt growth."
"Why do you need to grow so tall?"
"Because I'm a big, strong man. If I'm taller, I can protect you!"
His childish voice was filled with love.
Grace couldn't help but lean over and kiss her son's cheek.
"I don't need you to protect me. I want you to be happy and healthy."
"I want to protect you, Mommy. Just like Daddy did!"
"I can take care of myself, sweetie. Someday, you'll meet someone special, and you'll want to protect her with all your heart. Then you can be her hero." Grace hoped to raise a good husband for her future daughter-in-law.
"Until I meet her, I'll protect you!"
"Alright, my little knight."
Her son was so sweet!
...
After breakfast with Marcus, a servant came to inform Grace that someone was looking for her.
The visitor was from a company Grace had recently terminated a partnership with.
The company had been solid a few years ago, but recently it had been in turmoil, releasing false data to deceive her. The internal situation was a mess, and the company was essentially bankrupt, just an empty shell.
Continuing the partnership would mean DG Group investing money without any return.
Grace refused to see the visitor and had the boss sent away.
But the man refused to leave. Grace went to the door and spoke to him through it, "Mr. Harmon, you know your company's situation better than I do. During our last collaboration, you failed to deliver the final products. Why should we continue working with a company that can't keep its promises?"
"Ms. Lewis, I promise it won't happen again. If you transfer the funds, we can produce the previous products for you, and I'll even lower the collaboration price by five percent."
"No need. Please leave." Grace seemed easygoing, but her decisions were final.
"Ms. Lewis, Ms. Lewis!"
"If you don't leave, I'll call the police."
Nick Harmon had no choice but to leave, but he was furious.
Just a woman, what's she so high and mighty about? That company wasn't even built by Grace.
Now he was drowning in debt and hoped to get some money from Grace to pay it off, but she was so heartless.
They said if he didn't pay back two hundred million dollars within three days, they'd cut off his hands and feet. Where was he supposed to find that kind of money in such a short time?
If DG Group hadn't suddenly pulled out, he wouldn't be in this mess, and the debt collectors wouldn't be hounding him.
It was all Grace's fault.
Grace had driven him to this desperate situation. She had so much money, DG Group didn't even need that amount. Why couldn't she help him out?
He was out of options. If he kidnapped Grace, he could get the money from her, right?
Just a woman, it shouldn't be hard to kidnap her.
He was desperate and couldn't afford to care anymore!
...
Grace returned to the Coleman Villa and spent the morning working in her study.
Mason had sent over several documents that needed Grace's review, and some decisions required her approval.
Grace was swamped and had no time to think about anything else.
Angela also messaged Grace: [Grace, are you still in Aetheria? Not planning to come back soon?]
Grace replied: [Yes, I'm still in Aetheria. Why?]
[You said you could model for me anytime. There's a fashion show in Aetheria. Can you walk the runway for me?] Angela was now a renowned designer, invited to countless shows.
Since the show was in Aetheria, Angela invited Grace to be her model.
