The Ross family had left, but Edith became scared.
She held Ainsley's hand and shook it, "Mom, don't marry me off to the Ross family. There must be a way, right? This is all Angela's fault. Angela went and got married herself, leaving our family in a bind. I can't marry in her place, Mom."

"Thank you," she said, her clear voice ringing in Scott's ears.
Scott's body stiffened. When Angela hugged him, his heart skipped a beat.

Angela said, "I can't take this money. I'll return it to you later."
