Chapter 674 How Does She Not Know?

Zane walked over, locking eyes with Grace. Neither of them recognized the other, but both were curious about who the other person was.

Zane reached the door, holding a key card, and suddenly exclaimed, "You..."

This woman looked familiar. She was so beautiful, he felt like he had seen her somewhere before.

Grace looked at him in surprise. "Do you know me?"

"Are you the model who had a fling with my boss last night?"

No wonder someone as tough as Killer would be interested in her, Zane thought.

Grace was baffled. "I'm sorry, you must be mistaken. I don't know your boss."

And she certainly hadn't had a fling with anyone.

"Weren't you one of the models at the show last night?" Zane asked.

Grace was taken aback. Very few people knew she was a model, and she had been wearing a veil. No one had connected the model Iris with Grace.

Yet this guy knew she was the model from last night?

"Who are you?" Grace asked, looking at the tall man in front of her. He was almost as tall as Killer.

Could his boss be Killer?

"Never mind who I am. I'm here to find someone. Do you have any business here? This isn't your room, is it? What are you doing here? I don't think I've seen you before." Grace turned the tables, taking control of the conversation.

Zane was surprised by her words.

Before? Did that mean this woman had met his boss before?

"My boss sent me here. He gave me the key card."

"Your boss, Killer?"

Zane was even more surprised. "My boss told you his name?"

Their missions were dangerous, and they used fake names and identities whenever possible. If their cover was blown, it was easier to escape if no one knew their real identity.

Killer had come to Aetheria, and not many people knew he was Killer. He was always very thorough.

But this woman knew his name and didn't seem surprised at all.

It seemed like she and Killer were very close.

Grace looked at Killer's subordinate. He seemed like someone she could easily manipulate.

Maybe she could get some information out of him.

Grace's eyes showed a hint of calculation, but she didn't let it show.

She said, "Killer and I have been close. Is it strange that he told me these things?"

"What? You and my boss had a fling?" Zane was stunned. Did Matilda know about this?

"You just said it yourself, that I had a fling with your boss. But I'm curious, how did you know about this? Did Killer tell you?" Grace asked.

Killer wouldn't spread rumors, would he?

Nothing had happened between them last night, so where did this fling story come from?

"Never mind who told me. So, you and my boss..."

"I know all about your boss. Why don't we go inside and talk?" Grace suggested.

Zane agreed that it wasn't good to talk outside. He opened the door, and they both went in.

The room was familiar. It was the same room where Killer had brought her after she got drunk at the bar with Robert.

Grace walked in and sat down on a chair.

Zane noticed how familiar she seemed with the place. It wasn't her first time here.

Killer had brought this woman here before. Their relationship was definitely not ordinary.

Grace spoke up, "You're his subordinate. You're part of the Hugh gang."

Zane felt a pressure. This woman's presence was strong, and she even knew about Hugh.

How much had Killer told Grace? She seemed to know everything.

"How long have you been with him? I've been with him for so long, and I've never heard of you," Grace said, trying to get information out of him.

Zane was shocked by her words. "You've been with my boss for so long?"

How long was that? It couldn't be true.

"My boss never mentioned me to you?"

He was Killer's best subordinate.

"Is there a problem? Does he have any admirers? Does he have a girlfriend?" Grace asked casually.

Zane didn't dare to say much. Killer had many admirers, and the top one was probably Matilda, Hugh's daughter and Killer's future fiancée.

Zane warned, "I don't know why Killer is acting strange, but I advise you to stay away from him."

If Matilda found out about this beautiful woman, the consequences would be dire.

Killer had many admirers, and Matilda had dealt with many of them.

"Why? Does your boss eat people?"

"Killer doesn't eat people, but..."

Zane stopped himself and said, "Just don't get your hopes up. Killer won't like you."

"How do you know he doesn't like me? Did he tell you that?" Grace smirked.

No, Zane was guessing.

Killer had never been interested in women. They even suspected that Killer, in his prime, had no desires. Maybe he wasn't capable in that area.

Otherwise, why wouldn't he be interested in any of the beautiful women around him?

"Just don't get involved. Don't say I didn't warn you. If you don't listen, someone will deal with you."

"Someone will deal with me? His girlfriend?"

"Don't ask. Just leave."

"No rush. Let's chat a bit more. So, how long have you been with your boss? How long has he been in your gang?" Grace continued to ask.

"He..."

Wait, Zane realized, why was this woman asking him so many questions?

"Why should I tell you? What are you here for?" he asked back.

Grace said, "I'm here to find your boss. Where is he?"

"He's busy."

"Busy with what? Your gang is in Thalassia, right? Are you recruiting? What's the criteria? How about me?" Grace started to pitch herself.

From the moment he saw Grace, Zane felt she looked familiar. Now that she mentioned Thalassia, he suddenly remembered where he had seen her.

"Were you at the Thalassia airport?"

During a mission to capture someone, that person had threatened a young girl. Zane had been in charge of that mission. If Killer hadn't shown up and fired a shot, that girl might not have survived!
