Chapter 285 Forceful Kiss, Now It's My Turn to Tease You
Xavier shot a look at Grace. "Is it Victor? That dude calls you Grace every day. I knew he was up to something."
Grace gave Xavier a playful tap on the forehead. "What are you even thinking? Mr. Hastings isn't like that!"
Xavier rolled his eyes. "You're still defending him."
Grace shrugged. "Just calling it like I see it.."
"So, who else?" Xavier circled back to his original question.
"No one!" Grace snapped back, firm and clear.
"So, do you like me?" Grace couldn't bring herself to ask, but she could feel the shift in Xavier.
Grace remembered when she first met Xavier; he was so cold and distant, like one look from him could freeze you solid. She never thought he'd have such a soft side.
Grace nudged Xavier. "I gotta pack my stuff."
"So you agree?" Xavier grabbed her, not letting her go.
Grace shook her head. "No way. I was dumb before and got mixed up with you, but I regret it now. If I had another shot, I'd stay far away from you."
Her words hit Xavier hard, causeing his breathing to quickenand his eyes to fell withemotion.
He pulled Grace close, his voice rough. "Then let me be the one to get mixed up with you now."
With that, Xavier leaned in and kissed her.
Xavier was too intense; Grace couldn't fight back. His hand on her waist made her feel weak and shaky.
Luckily, Xavier held her up, keeping her from collapsing.
Grace's body seemed to have a magnetic pull. His lips moved to her earlobe, turning it a deeper shade of red. Then his kisses trailed down her neck, leaving faint pink marks.
Xavier's control was slipping, his lips moving lower.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Grace and Xavier were close enough to hear it clearly.
The intimate moment was broken. Xavier ignored it, but Grace was startled.
"Someone's outside," Grace whispered.
The knocking continued. "Xavier, Grace, you done packing? Come out and join us for a trip to the beach!"
Xavier, already annoyed, wanted to tell them to buzz off. But Victor was persistent.
Looking at Grace, her clothes were a mess, her lipstick smudged from his kisses, and her eyes watery, clearly showing she'd been teased.
Xavier's eyes were dark with desire. He brushed his fingers across Grace's moist eyes. "Go freshen up in the bathroom."
Grace slipped out of Xavier's hold and hurried to the bathroom.
Only then did Xavier open the door. Outside, Victor was already in a T-shirt and shorts. He ignored Xavier's deadly glare and complained, "Took you long enough. Where's Grace?"
"What are you wearing?" Xavier eyed his outfit.
Victor grinned. "This is dopamine dressing. Makes you a dopamine boy. You have no idea how many girls dig this style now. If I go out like this, I'll definitely turn heads."
Xavier just stared.
Victor said, "Let's hit the beach while there's still light. The sunset's gonna be epic."
"Nope," Xavier shot back, not even trying to be polite.
Victor frowned. "Why not? We're already here."
Just then, Grace stepped out of the bathroom, looking fresh and put together.
Victor's eyes lit up, and he immediately ignored Xavier. As long as Grace was around, Xavier's opinion didn't matter.
"Grace, wanna hit the beach?" Victor asked.
"Sure," Grace agreed, thinking it was better to avoid being alone with Xavier for now. He looked like he wanted to devour her earlier.
Victor smirked. "Xavier said he's not going."
Grace shrugged. "Alright, the three of us can go. Give me a sec; I'll change."
Xavier stayed silent, his eyes burning with anger. Victor was definitely doing this on purpose.
Grace grabbed her suitcase to change clothes. Xavier glared at Victor. "Do you like Grace?"
Victor blinked, confused. "What?"
Did he hear that right? Was Xavier actually jealous?
Victor quickly said, "I wouldn't dare compete with you for Grace. No, I mean, I don't like her like that. No thoughts at all." He even raised three fingers to swear.
He felt the tension ease a bit after he spoke.
"Then why'd you ask Grace to go to the beach?" Xavier was still pissed.
He hadn't even taken Grace to the beach himself.
"Whether you like it or not doesn't matter. As long as Grace wants to go." Victor said recklessly, squinting at Xavier. "What, you wanna go to the beach alone with me?"
"Get lost!" Xavier snapped.
Last time they came here, Grace didn't plan for a vacation, so she didn't bring much. But this time, she was ready to relax, so she had a beach dress and hat.
The pale yellow dress flowed to her ankles, covered in delicate flowers, making it super pretty. The fitted design showed off her slim waist, making her legs look extra long.
Grace also wore a round straw hat, looking like a fairy, making it hard for them to look away.
Grace walked over, her makeup unchanged, but still stunning.
"Grace, your outfit looks like a couple's outfit with mine," Victor said.
Grace stayed silent. It didn't seem that similar, did it?
As soon as Victor spoke, Grace felt a cold pressure.
"Are you blind?" Xavier said in the iciest tone.
Victor shivered. He felt his eyes were fine, but it seemed Xavier wanted to gouge them out.
Grace asked, "Not really?"
Grace got Xavier's meaning and said, "I'll go change."
"No, it looks great. No need to change," Victor said quickly.
Xavier's cold eyes turned to him. "You go change. Don't ever wear that outfit again."
Victor asked, "Why? Doesn't it look good?"
Xavier said, "It's dirty."
Victor looked down at himself, even turning around to check. "Where is it dirty?"
Xavier walked to the table, where several bottles of liquor were placed. He casually picked up a bottle, opened it, and poured it on Victor. Then he said calmly, "Now it's dirty."
Victor was speechless.
