Chapter 91 He Seemed to Have Developed Feelings for Grace

There were many people there, and Xavier stood out as the most eye-catching one in the crowd.
His aura clashed with the vibe here, making everyone else fade into the background.
Grace gazed at the towering Xavier, though not far from her; she felt a sense of haziness enveloping their proximity.
Xavier's voice was hoarse. "These days, be careful with Zach and Daniel."
So, is he intentionally reminding her?
Xavier continued, "If there's anything you can't solve, you can give me a call."
"I got it, thank you."
Xavier watched as Grace turned away; just then, his phone rang - it was Mason calling.
"Mr. Montgomery, the people following you have been taken care of."
In the bar, Ryan felt a wave of frustration in his heart. Even though he was holding two girls in his arms, he still felt unhappy.
It's an indescribable sensation, everything feeling off-kilter.
At that moment, the door to the private room swung open, and several burly men, bound and gagged, were unceremoniously tossed inside – he couldn't even discern who had thrown them in.
"Weren't you supposed to follow Xavier?" Ryan recognized these individuals as the ones he had instructed to follow Xavier.
Because Xavier was the only one who knew the information about that woman, he was obsessed with her like crazy, but he couldn't find any information at all.
'Following Xavier would undoubtedly lead to the revelation of the woman's place of residence.'
So, he got someone and shadowed Xavier.
Not long ago, they called to say they saw Xavier leaving. At this hour, Ryan was still wondering if Xavier had gone to see that woman, waiting here for the outcome.
The outcome yielded these few ineffectual individuals, who were consequently thrown in haphazardly bound.
However, his visit was impromptu, without informing any other acquaintances.
'How did Xavier know his presence here? Does Xavier possess such remarkable capabilities to ascertain this swiftly?'
The person who was being tracked got up from the ground, knelt in front of Ryan, and said, "We've been discovered. He also wanted us to convey that if any further attempts at surveillance occur, your legs will be broken, confining you indoors for half a month."
Ryan wasn't very happy to begin with, and now he was even more furious. He kicked the person in front of him and shouted, "You useless bunch of waste, get lost!"
Even one person couldn’t keep up, and where exactly was Xavier more noble than him? He even dared to threaten him.
Following Xavier's arrival in Skigeth, everything seemed to go awry for him. Even the woman he had long admired from afar found solace in Xavier's embrace.
Those few people who were being tracked didn't dare to stay any longer and quickly left.
The woman next to Ryan approached, her hand caressing Ryan's arm, moving towards his chest, touching Ryan's chest muscles through his clothes.
"Mr. Ryan Montgomery, don't be upset. We can make you happy."
"Mr. Ryan Montgomery, let us serve you." A girl has already knelt in front of Ryan, placing her hands on Ryan's belt.
Despite the earnest efforts of these maidens, Ryan remained devoid of desire.
Unexpectedly, the face of Grace popped into his mind, that damn Grace, daring to leave him all alone.
Ryan thought to himself, 'Who the hell gave Grace the temper to be so mean?
'The women around him are all like that, wanting to fall on their knees when they see him, wanting to get him and sell themselves to please him.
'But Grace seems to be different from all these women.'
Thinking of Grace, he suddenly felt desire.
Ryan was startled by himself.
"Enough, all of you, just get out of here!" Ryan said impatiently.
"Mr. Ryan Montgomery, is there something we did wrong?"
"Get lost!"
The girls were in a panic and dared not stay any longer, so they quickly left.
Ryan Montgomery was drinking alone, consuming a lot of alcohol, yet Grace's silhouette grew increasingly vivid in his mind.
Seemingly unaware, the times he thought of Kelly were decreasing.
At this moment, Grace had already returned home, lying in bed after taking a shower, unable to forget the image of Xavier standing in the crowd.
Originally coming out from the Lewis family, Grace felt quite gloomy, but after having a meal with Xavier, her mood seemed to improve suddenly.
In the future, should anyone have uttered a single disparaging word about Xavier, she would undoubtedly have been the first to dissent.
Before drifting off to sleep, Grace received a call from Angela. "Grace, it's late. Are you still at the office?"
"No, I've already returned home," she replied.
"Why do you sound so happy? Did something good happen?"
'Really?' Grace didn't feel it.
"Do I sound happy?"
"That was not just happy; it was like you encountered something really good," Angela said. Just by listening to the voice, she could tell a person's mood completely.
Grace blinked her eyes and said, "Maybe I've really encountered something good."
"What did you say?"
"Nothing much. Why are you calling me so late? Are you this concerned about me?"
"Of course, who else but I would care for you? I worry that you might end up living in the office again; you're busier than even the big bosses."
"Isn't this how your studio started as well? Things will get better in the future."
"Indeed, that's true. You're so occupied; it seems you have no time left." Angela's voice carried a hint of a sigh.
"Hmm? Is there something I can help with?"
Angela was absolutely fed up with this. "It's not about helping, it's the Turner family. I don't know if Edith said something again, but the Turner family set me up on a blind date and is forcing me to go. I want you to accompany me."
"Of course, no problem, and when?"
Grace would definitely accompany her for this important event. Angela had helped her a lot, so she surely wanted to help Angela out as well.
"Next week."
"Alright, I'll accompany you when the time comes!"
After finishing the call with Angela, Grace still couldn't fall asleep.
She got up decisively and went to mix a fragrance, one with the scent of cedar that carried the flavor of earthly life.
Early the next day, Grace went to the studio and continued working on what she had yet to finish the day before.
Just as it was time to start work, Lily hurried over and exclaimed, "Oh no, Ms. Grace, the factory has just informed us that all our orders cannot be shipped on time."
"What?" Grace stood up.
"Weren't those goods supposed to be delivered soon?" Due to a large number of orders recently, Grace was in urgent need of the goods.
"Yes, but they mentioned an unexpected issue: the batch of perfumes has gone bad. Moreover, if we opt to remake them, it will take double the initial time, ensuring we won't meet the delivery deadline."
"Didn't I reach out to several manufacturers? Where are the other factories?" Grace asked. She was concerned about similar situations happening again, so Iris brand perfumes were not solely entrusted to one factory for production.
Lily said, "Other factories also found excuses, saying they couldn't deliver the goods."
Grace almost understood it all at once. It was not by accident but by design.
Last night, Xavier just warned her to be careful around Daniel and Zach. Grace wouldn't believe that it didn't involve the two of them.
