Chapter 429 He Forcefully Kissed Her Again

"You dare mention her again!" Steven's eyes blazed with fury as he grabbed Xavier, who was lounging on the sofa.

But Xavier didn't flinch; his stare was even more intense than Steven's.

Despite his handsome face was bruised and battered, it didn't take away from his commanding presence.

Xavier said firmly, "I like Grace. I messed up before, but I'm still going after her."

Steven snapped, "You can't mess with the girls from the Coleman family. I'm warning you: she's not the same girl you could push around. She's got the whole Coleman family backing her now. If you try anything again, we won't let you off, no matter what!"

Xavier shot back, "I like her, and I don't care if she's from the Coleman family or the Lewis family. She's mine. Unless you kill me, I'm gonna be with her."

Xavier's eyes were steady, his mind clear.

Nothing and no one could stop him from being with Grace, especially since he knew she still had feelings for him.

He knew he had screwed up and was ready to face any punishment. Even if Steven beat him up every time they met, Xavier wouldn't back down.

Steven, seething with anger, said, "Impossible. Grace doesn't want to see you anymore. I'm warning you, stay away from her!"

Steven knew Grace still had feelings for Xavier, but he couldn't tell if Xavier was being genuine.

Xavier said, "Let me make it clear, it's not happening. Grace is the only one for me, now and forever."

Steven's frown deepened, his dislike for Xavier growing. He punched Xavier to the ground.

Just then, the door to the reception room swung open, and a voice called out, "Steven!"

It was Grace.

Grace and Thomas stood at the door. Grace walked in, "Steven, stop hitting him."

Steven was reluctant to stop. He raised his fist again but was held back by Grace.

Steven said, "Grace, you're still defending him at a time like this?"

From the moment Grace appeared, Xavier's eyes were glued to her.

Grace's hair was down, and she wore a loose jacket over a skirt. She wasn't wearing makeup, yet she looked stunning, though she seemed much thinner.

Xavier felt a pang of pain in his heart. Getting beaten by Steven didn't hurt, but seeing Grace did.

If none of this had happened, Xavier couldn't even imagine how happy he and Grace would be now.

He missed the moments when Grace nestled in his arms, missed every second she was by his side.

However, since Grace entered, she hadn't looked at Xavier once.

Grace pulled Steven back, "I'm not defending him, but if you beat him to death, how can I teach him a lesson?"

Xavier smirked. He liked being scolded by Grace. No matter how harsh her words were, it felt more like a reward than a punishment.

Grace added, "Besides, he and I have parted ways. We won't have any more interactions and won't run into each other. We're just strangers now. Why should we care so much about strangers? I'm doing well and am very happy. I can still be with a better man."

"Steven, let's go back, okay?"

Grace was also afraid that Steven, in his rage, might cause a fatal accident, so she hurried over.

Hearing Grace's words, Xavier felt a stab in his heart. They wouldn't have any more interactions, wouldn't run into each other, and were now just strangers.

The kicker was, Grace said she would be with another man!

Steven thought letting Xavier off easy was too soft, but he'd vented his anger and was ready to leave.

Grace stayed by Steven's side, but before they reached the door, Xavier, with bloodshot eyes, grabbed Grace's arm.

Before anyone could react, he yanked Grace into the room and quickly locked the door.

Xavier pressed Grace against the wall, his hands on either side of her. No matter how Steven and Thomas pounded on the door outside, Xavier didn't care.

His eyes were locked on Grace, who thought Xavier had lost his mind.

"What do you want?" Grace looked at Xavier's face, his mouth still bleeding, his cheek swollen. Even in this state, Xavier had a wild and stunning allure.

His tone was filled with possessiveness as he leaned down and kissed Grace's lips.

"Let go of me!" Grace didn't expect Xavier to be so bold. Her brothers were right outside. Wasn't he afraid they'd break in and cripple him?

Xavier kissed Grace, and she could taste the blood on his lips.

Xavier stopped but rested his chin on her shoulder, burying his head in her neck.

At that moment, Xavier was like a wounded beast, his voice filled with pain. "I won't allow it. You can't be a stranger to me. You can't be with another man."

He couldn't imagine such a scenario. He knew Grace's relationships with those men were fake, but he was already uncontrollably jealous, wanting to possess her.

If one day, Grace truly loved someone else, Xavier felt he would go mad.

Grace said, "You have no right to forbid it. We have no relationship now." Grace tried to stay calm and rational, not letting Xavier affect her.

Xavier said, "I like you. I can't let you go. What I said before was out of anger, to push you away. Something happened at the time, Stephanie's grandfather…"

Before Xavier could finish, there was a loud noise, and the door was kicked open.

When Steven's fist came at him, Xavier, afraid of hurting Grace, shielded her in his arms.

This action made Steven even angrier. He pulled Xavier away and punched him twice more, "Xavier, what did you do to Grace!"

"Steven, stop hitting him." Grace knew Xavier didn't fight back. If he did, Steven might not have the upper hand.

Steven punched him once more before stopping, then took Grace away.

Grace, Steven, and Scott left together. Steven was furious, "He dared to bully you right in front of me!"

Grace said, "Steven, New Year's is coming up. I want to go to Country E with you all."

Steven had suggested Grace go back to Country E with them before, but she had been reluctant. Why had she changed her mind now?

Steven asked, "Are you sure?"

Grace nodded, "Yes, I haven't met Uncle and Aunt yet. The last time I went to Country E, I didn't have time to look around. This time I want to make up for it."

"Alright." Steven immediately went to make arrangements.

Grace said, "Steven, there's one more thing I need your help with."

Steven didn't even ask what it was and agreed right away, "I can do anything for you. Even if you want the stars in the sky, I'll do my best to get them for you."
