Chapter 591 Trying on the Wedding Dress
Grace heard the voice and looked up in disbelief, glancing over in that direction.
"Angela!"
It was Angela!
Angela walked in from outside and immediately hugged Grace. "Grace, I've missed you so much."
Even though they hadn't been apart for long and kept in touch frequently, the excitement of seeing each other in person was overwhelming.
"I've missed you too! Why didn't you tell me you were coming? I could have picked you up at the airport. When did you get to Oakworth? Did you come with my cousin? Or did you come just for him?"
Angela laughed. "You heartless girl, this has nothing to do with your cousin. I came here for you, of course."
"How could I miss your wedding?"
Grace suddenly realized. "So you're the designer!"
"Yes!" Angela nodded proudly.
"Yeah, your Mr. Montgomery trusted me with this opportunity, spent a fortune to hire me, and even contacted internationally renowned designers to assist me. I was so excited to work with my idol that I almost cried."
"I'm about to cry too. I never expected..." Grace was overwhelmed that Angela was personally designing her wedding dress.
The two were deeply moved. Xavier had assured Grace that he would handle the wedding dress, so she didn't have to worry about it. Grace never imagined he would reach out to Angela.
Angela said, "We agreed long ago that when you got married, you'd wear a wedding dress designed by me."
Grace nodded enthusiastically. Angela continued, "Go try it on. Your Mr. Montgomery is waiting for you. If anything doesn't fit, I'll adjust it. There are several styles, and I promise you'll be the most beautiful bride on your wedding day!"
Grace looked up and saw Xavier not far away. He smiled at her, not rushing her at all.
Grace took the dress and went into the room with Xavier.
"Thank you, Xavier!" Grace was genuinely grateful.
"What for?"
"Thank you for having Angela design the dress. I didn't expect to see her today. I'm so happy, so thank you."
Xavier replied, "It's nothing to thank me for. If you really want to thank me, then prepare well and be my beautiful, happy bride next month!"
Grace quickly put on the wedding dress. Angela's design was stunning, grand yet elegant, with intricate patterns that added to its beauty. The white dress made Grace's skin glow, and she looked beautiful even without makeup.
Xavier was the first to see her, and he didn't blink. He nodded, "Beautiful."
It was truly beautiful, like he had found a treasure.
Because Grace was pregnant, her belly was slightly protruding. Angela's design cleverly used the wide skirt to hide Grace's belly, making it unnoticeable and not affecting the overall look.
Xavier's dark suit was perfectly tailored to his size. He was tall, and the suit enhanced his presence, making him look incredibly handsome. Standing next to Grace, they were a perfect match.
When they came out of the room, Angela and Scott were still bickering.
"Stay away from me. I don't want to be near you!" Angela said with disdain.
Scott replied, "I don't want to stand next to you either. Can't you see all the women around here?"
There were indeed many people today, mostly women.
Angela retorted, "Why are you so narcissistic? The other women aren't even close to you. What are you hiding from? Do you think you're some national treasure that everyone wants to see? No one is paying attention to you."
Angela was busy, but Scott kept trying to get close and was being a nuisance.
"That's not necessarily true!" Scott said, looking embarrassed.
Using the crowd as an excuse, Scott followed Angela wherever she went.
When Grace came out, Angela didn't have time to argue with Scott. She hurried over to admire Grace in the wedding dress she had designed. It looked amazing.
Angela walked over, adjusted the dress a bit, and gave Grace a thumbs up. "Grace, you're my living advertisement. I need to take lots of photos of you for our studio's promotion. If you wear this, many people will choose our designs. Will you be my spokesperson?"
"Sure, as long as you don't mind me ruining your brand and image," Grace agreed.
"That's impossible. If you come, my designs will sell out!"
They joked around, and Angela checked the dress again. It was a bit loose now, but by next month, Grace's belly would be bigger, and the dress would fit perfectly.
Angela noted the adjustments needed and started working on them while Grace changed into the next dress. Angela knew Grace's measurements well, so every dress she designed fit Grace perfectly.
No matter the style, Grace looked stunning in each dress. Angela was very satisfied, seeing her designs come to life on someone else was a great accomplishment for a designer.
After a busy day, Grace and Angela finally had time to catch up. They had so much to talk about after not seeing each other for days.
They went back to the room, and with Angela there, Xavier was naturally kicked out.
Lying on the bed, they chatted about recent events. Grace and Angela spoke simultaneously.
"So the Turner family is treating you well now that they know my cousin's identity?"
"So your mom was with the King of Aetheria? Could you be the King's child?"
They stared at each other in surprise and then spoke in unison, "You go first!"
Angela said, "Mine's not that interesting. Tell me yours. I'm really curious. Could you be the Princess of Aetheria?"
Grace was silent.
"No way, that's too far-fetched. I'm not related to Mr. Astor at all."
"I still think it's not that simple," Angela murmured.
"Don't overthink it. Things like that only happen in TV shows, not real life."
"Why not? Your mom was with the King of Aetheria. You wouldn't have believed that before, right?"
