Chapter 656 Not Suitable for Children
Grace stared into Killer's eyes.
His face was cold, but his eyes were incredibly deep.
Grace cupped Killer's face, pressing close to him.
Then, she blinked, "Why do you look different?"
"You’re not supposed to look like this."
She mumbled, her hands wandering over Killer's face, "Did you use some trick on me? Is there a secret to your face too?"
Her fingers were almost at the edge of his mask when Killer suddenly grabbed her wrist.
"Don't move!" Killer panted, already burning with desire from Grace's teasing.
Grace, being so persistent, almost uncovered his secret.
His face couldn't be revealed. In fact, he wore a different face for every mission. He had too many enemies, and showing his real face would only bring trouble.
"Why can't I move?" Grace asked, like a curious child.
Killer took a deep breath, just about to push Grace away when the door opened.
Marcus walked in with a glass of honey water. Seeing the scene before him, he and the honey water were both stunned.
His mom was so fierce that she had pinned someone down!
Marcus quickly covered his eyes. "This is not suitable for kids!"
"Should I leave?" Marcus was unsure where to go. Should a kid like him get out of the way of adult matters?
"It's not what it looks like," Killer tried to explain.
Marcus said, "You don't need to explain. I know you adults like one-night stands. Don't worry, I won't tell my uncle that my mom bullied you!"
With that, Marcus placed the honey water nearby and dashed out, even locking the door from the outside.
Now the man couldn't escape, and his mom would have her chance tonight!
"Grace!" Killer tried to push her off, but Grace clung to him, leaving him helpless.
"Drink the honey water first." Killer reached out, picked up the honey water, and fed it to Grace.
Grace obediently drank it, leaving a bit of water on her lips, making them look incredibly tempting.
Killer snapped back to reality and set the glass aside.
"You should go to sleep."
"I don't want to sleep. Every time I wake up, you're gone."
"If you don't sleep, I'll leave!" Killer threatened.
Grace blinked, "If I sleep, will you still be here when I wake up?"
Killer's throat tightened. He couldn't bring himself to say no.
"Sleep."
"Can you sleep with me?" Grace looked at him hopefully.
"No!"
"Then I won't sleep." Grace was ready to stay awake, just staring at him.
Killer didn't know if she was still drunk or just clingy.
He had a simpler, more direct way to handle this—knock her out. But when he raised his hand, he couldn't do it.
"Sleep, I'll watch over you." Killer had no patience left.
Grace didn't seem to believe him. She hugged Killer's waist, curling up in his arms, refusing to let go.
After a night of fussing, Grace was exhausted. Killer stayed still, and eventually, Grace fell asleep in that position.
Killer gently placed her on the bed, looking at her rosy face. He couldn't resist lightly touching her cheek.
Grace...
His gaze softened without him realizing it. He felt there were many things he needed to investigate.
If he were Xavier, why was he in Thalassia, part of Hugh's gang? If he wasn't Xavier, why did he look so much like him?
After a while, Killer stood up and walked to the door, realizing it was locked.
This electronic lock was no match for him. In no time, he had it dismantled.
Killer went downstairs, where Steven and Marcus were. Marcus, seeing Killer come down, exclaimed, "How did you get down here so fast? Wait, are you saying you’re done already? Does my mom know you have performance issues?"
Killer was silent.
His face darkened. What did Marcus mean by performance issues?
How was Grace raising this kid?
"Where's my mom? I locked the door, didn't I?" And it was the kind that couldn't be opened from the inside.
"Your mom's asleep. I dismantled the lock."
"You could dismantle my lock?" Marcus was shocked. That was his high-security lock!
"Mr. Steven Coleman, if there's nothing else, I'll be leaving. Please try to talk some sense into your cousin."
Steven watched him, "It's late. Why not stay the night? I've had a guest room prepared."
"No, thank you." Killer quickly left the Coleman Villa.
Steven watched him go. He had just had someone look into this man’s background and found nothing.
Marcus, a top computer expert, had also found nothing.
Who was he?
Why did he keep approaching Grace?
...
The next morning, Grace woke up, rubbing her head.
Her head was still a bit fuzzy, and the space beside her was empty.
It seemed she had dreamed again. Last night, she dreamed of Xavier, who promised he wouldn't leave.
But when she woke up, she was alone again. He was gone.
But last night's dream felt so real. She even felt like she kissed Xavier.
It seemed he had carried her for a long, long way.
Beautiful things were always fake. Reality was still so cruel.
No Xavier, no kiss, nothing.
Grace pinched her palm, got out of bed, and washed up before leaving her room.
As she opened the door, she was surprised. She went downstairs and saw Marcus eating breakfast, spreading jam on his toast. "Sweetie, did you dismantle my door lock?"
"It wasn't me, it was that bad man!"
"Bad man?" Grace was puzzled.
Marcus said, "The man you brought home last night, the same one from before. Didn't you go out partying and bring him back?"
"And then you pinned him down and kissed him. I saw it all!"
Grace was silent.
Did she really do that?
