Chapter 474 Mom, I brought your daughter-in-law to see you

After a long while, Xavier finally came out.

Grace had been waiting at the door, her eyes filled with worry.

"Are you okay?" Grace immediately approached him as soon as she saw him come out.

"He's still alive; he won't die," Xavier's voice was hoarse.

"Who asked about Patrick? I'm asking about you!" Whether Patrick was alive or not had nothing to do with her.

Xavier lowered his eyes. Looking at Grace like this, his sinking heart seemed to float back up slowly.

With her by his side, it didn't seem to hurt as much.

"I want to go see my mother," Xavier's eyes were intense, with a hint of sadness.

Grace immediately took his hand. "I'll go with you."

In the suburban cemetery, white roses were placed in front of the tombstone.

On the tombstone was a gentle and beautiful woman, forever in her twenties.

Xavier's mother, Donna, was very beautiful. Otherwise, she wouldn't have caught the eye of Patrick's father, that scumbag, and been raped.

A person's life is actually very long, but they only remain in their most beautiful years.

Xavier just stood there quietly, looking at Donna without saying a word.

And his hand was still holding Grace's hand.

It was Grace who spoke first. "Ms. White, hello. Xavier and I came to see you."

"I don't know if you remember me. I'm Grace, my mom was a good friend of yours."

Grace's voice was clear and sweet, her eyes curved as she smiled beautifully.

Grace must have met Donna before, but she was too young at the time, maybe only about five years old, and didn't remember clearly.

Xavier's lips moved; his expression was so complex.

"Mom, I..." his voice choked with emotion.

He seemed to want to say something but didn't know how to express it.

Grace patted his back. "You probably haven't visited Ms. White in a long time. Take your time talking. I'll be over there."

Xavier was reluctant to let go of Grace's hand. Grace gently squeezed his hand, giving him a sense of security. "I'll be right nearby, call me if you need anything."

Grace's eyes were also a bit moist. She understood this feeling; parting with a loved one is really painful.

But she felt Xavier would have a lot to say to Donna, and it wasn't appropriate for her to eavesdrop.

Grace walked away, and Xavier's gaze lingered on her for a long time.

"Mom, I brought your daughter-in-law to see you." His hand gently caressed the photo.

He was immensely grateful that he had returned to Skigeth and met Grace.

"She is the woman I love. I only found out today that you had already chosen her for me. We really do have the same good taste. She's now carrying my baby; you're going to be a grandmother."

"Mom, did you see what happened to the Montgomery family today? Their punishment has finally come. The Montgomery family's suffering is just beginning. Let's watch together."

"I'm doing well now. With Grace by my side, I won't be lonely anymore. You should be well in heaven, too."

Xavier wasn't good at expressing himself. Even though he had many thoughts, they weren't easy to articulate.

In his few simple words, most of them were about Grace, and he conveyed a lot.

He looked over at Grace again. "Tell Ms. Clark that her daughter is in my care; she can rest assured."

Grace stood there, looking at the tombstones in most of the cemetery, thinking about how many families had been separated.

It's a pity that life is so short, and how many couples can stay together until old age?

"What are you thinking about?" Xavier's voice came from behind.

Grace turned around to see Xavier close to her.

Xavier hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, inhaling her scent.

This scent made him feel at ease, as if it could smooth everything out.

"Did you finish talking to Mom so quickly?"

Xavier paused. Grace didn't say "your mom," but directly called her "Mom."

"I just wanted to tell her that the Montgomery family is finished now, so she can rest easily."

Grace tilted her head. "Then I also want to say a few words to Ms. White; you can't eavesdrop."

Grace went to the tombstone, bent down, and even covered her mouth with her hand, looking like she was really whispering.

"Ms. White, thank you for giving birth to such an excellent son. Xavier is really great. You can rest assured; I'll take care of him for you."

Xavier watched Grace, unable to help but smile, his heart and eyes full of her.

She was really wonderful, so wonderful that Xavier felt he didn't deserve her.

Grace was a gift from God, a treasure he couldn't ask for.

Grace quickly finished her whispering and walked back to Xavier, pulling him over. "Let's stay with her a little longer."

Grace and Xavier stayed there until it got dark. Although they didn't say much, many things didn't need words to be understood.

As they left the cemetery, Xavier and Grace got into the car. Xavier said, "I'll take you home."

Grace shook her head. "I don't want to go home."

"Then where do you want to go? I'll go with you."

"Alright, I want to go to The Bameran Villa."

Xavier was stunned. "The Bameran Villa?"

"Is that okay?" Her eyes sparkled, like a beam of light that could shine directly into one's heart.

"Of course."

From the afternoon spent with Xavier, Grace knew that Donna loved looking at the land of The Bameran Villa, so when Xavier had the means, he spent a lot of money to buy it.

As the car approached The Bameran Villa, Xavier had already instructed Kieran to prepare a meal, as Grace hadn't eaten anything all day.

After dinner, Grace told Xavier to go wash up first.

"You come with me."

"No way. You go to the mainmaster bathroom, and I'll go to the guest bathroom. But you should still have my clothes, right?"

"Of course."

Xavier had someone prepare them before, and they were never thrown away; all of them were Grace's clothes.

Grace took the clothes and was about to go to the guest room when Xavier pushed her toward the master bedroom. "You go here; I'll use another bathroom."

Although Xavier wanted to shower with Grace, he knew that if they did, they wouldn't be able to control their desires.

He had to restrain himself for now.

Grace quickly finished her shower and dried her hair, but Xavier hadn't come out yet.

Grace sat in the bedroom for a while, thinking about the traces of their love in this room.

Lily sent Grace a message, saying there was a document she needed to look at. Without a computer at hand, Grace went to Xavier's study.

Sitting in Xavier's chair, Grace remembered when Patrick had ambushed them, and she had hidden under this desk.
