Chapter 63 Xavier Saw Her True Appearance Again

Grace's technique was good, and Xavier's furrowed brows slowly relaxed, probably feeling more comfortable.
Grace then found a blanket and covered Xavier with it to keep him warm. As she got up, she noticed Xavier's eyes.
He was really good-looking, with deep facial features, slender eyebrows, and narrow eyes that were slightly red from drinking. However, without his usually cold and distant gaze, there was a warmth in his eyes that was absent before.
The bracelet on his wrist added a touch of nobility to him that couldn't be hidden.
His lips were lightly pursed, and his relaxed brows furrowed again as if he had just had a dream.
Grace held one of Xavier's hands and gently stroked his forehead with the other.
"It's all right now, it's all right." Her voice resonated in Xavier's ear.
Feeling a certain force, Xavier's hand tightly held onto hers.
It had been a while, and Grace felt her hand go numb before finally pulling it away from Xavier's grasp.
She couldn't move Xavier, so she had to let him sleep on the couch.
It was already two in the morning.
Grace felt very hot and went to the bathroom to wash her face. When she saw herself in the mirror, she froze.
She had forgotten to put on makeup!
When alone at home, Grace naturally washed her face and then started working. She never thought Xavier would come, so she didn't even consider not having her usual makeup on when she opened the door.
She cupped her flushed face with both hands, and tiny droplets of water from washing her face covered her face. Even her long eyelashes had water droplets on them, making her eyes appear damp.
Luckily, Xavier had been drinking, so he probably didn't see her like this.
Grace could only console herself with this thought, but her heart couldn't help but race.
She quickly washed her face, thought for a moment, and decided to touch up her makeup. Soon, her appearance was covered by cosmetics, and Grace returned to her usual self.
After leaving the bathroom, she saw Xavier still in the same position.
Grace still had some work to finish, so she went over to continue her tasks.
Every time she looked up, she could see Xavier there. It felt quite peculiar.
Grace typically resided in solitude, with Angela occasionally dropping by to provide companionship. Their conversations knew no bounds, and the luxury of having such a steadfast friend in life was both a rare and treasured blessing.
Speaking of which, Xavier was the first man to stay overnight here!
Her brand was about to launch soon, and even though everything was almost settled, there were still many things to do.
So, Grace dimmed the lights a little and continued working until four or five in the morning.
Thinking that Xavier might not feel well in the morning after drinking so much, Grace went to the kitchen and made a serving of oatmeal.
This way, when Xavier woke up tomorrow, he could have it.
Xavier's body had developed a biological clock long ago, and no matter which day it was, he would wake up around six a.m.
He moved first, then rubbed his sore brow, slowly opening his eyes, only to realize he seemed to be lying on a small couch.
With the onset of summer, dawn broke early, allowing the room to be gently illuminated by the sunlight streaming through the window.
This place was unfamiliar to Xavier.
As he moved, the blanket on his body fell off.
Xavier picked it up, remembering that he had found out about his mother's news last night. His mother had always been a thorn in Xavier's side.
His mood was truly terrible, so he went to the wine cellar and drank quite a bit. He had a lot on his mind, especially regarding Evelyn and Grace. In a fit of rage, he seemed to have ordered someone to take him to Grace's house.
Although he didn't know where Grace lived, obtaining her address was a piece of cake.
Afterward, Xavier couldn't remember what happened next.
His gaze swept across this not-so-big house, which the owner impeccably maintained. Whether it was the design and arrangement of the rooms or the color coordination, everything looked very warm.
Even with only Grace living here, it still felt like a home.
His eyes fell on the table over there, where Grace was sleeping peacefully, her head resting on the table.
With the impetuousness of last night gone, Xavier had once again become the person who kept his emotions hidden and had deep schemes.
Even though Grace's mother was only one of the culprits responsible for his mother's death, Xavier wouldn't show any mercy. It was the price that Grace and her family had to pay.
Xavier took a blanket and covered Grace, who was sleeping on the table.
Grace hadn't been sleeping for long and was sleeping light so that she would wake up at the slightest movement.
She slowly opened her eyes, her pupils still hazy and misty from not completely waking up.
Her eyes were truly beautiful.
She innocently looked at Xavier with a pitiful expression that couldn't be described.
But there was still a red mark on her neck, as though someone had forcefully grabbed it.
When Grace saw Xavier's face, she suddenly became wide awake.
"You're awake." she quickly sat up and glanced at the time on the computer. Undoubtedly, it was still very early.
"Do you want to sleep a little longer?"
"No."
Without the frenzy of last night, Xavier had once again become an extremely cold person.
Grace didn't bring up last night's events, probably because she knew Xavier's temper and knew he wouldn't mention it either.
"I have other matters to attend to. I'm leaving," Xavier said, preparing to turn around.
"Wait." Grace immediately grabbed Xavier's wrist, her palm touching his warm skin. It was like being shocked by electricity, so she quickly let go and pulled her hand back.
I noticed you had quite a bit to drink last night, and overindulging isn't great for your stomach. If you head out now, you're bound to suffer a headache for the rest of the day. I've made some oatmeal porridge; it should help settle your stomach. Let me also fix you a glass of lemon water to help clear your head.
After speaking, Grace went straight to the kitchen.
Luckily, she had already done her makeup on her face last night. Observing Xavier's demeanor, it appeared he didn't remember how she looked last night. Xavier couldn't remember after drinking so much.
Xavier looked at the woman who entered the kitchen and glanced down at the things Grace had put on the table, many of which were printed data analyses. Grace had done a lot of market research and homework.
It seemed that Grace hadn't slept all night.
The oatmeal porridge was already cooked, and now it was extremely soft and mushy.
She also made some bread, which was quickly served.
The aroma of the oatmeal porridge filled the air, and Xavier did feel hungry. However, he had repeatedly reminded himself not to have too much contact with Grace.
"No need, I'm not hungry." Xavier's cold voice sounded distant.
